Pressured by man at Tampa location to upgrade to different car, add insurance and add toll cost of over $40 when toll near airport was $1.50. When I said no, he would say "are you sure?" And I felt like he was talking down to me. He said the car we received would not have any features unless we upgraded and the car we received without the upgrade had every feature and was new. I will not work with companies that lie and try to con me intoo additional cost! If the company is giving their staff "credit" for convincing people to take unnecessary add one please stop!

I'm contacting you regarding the return of your car. After inspecting it, it turned out you were smoking inside the car, which is prohibited. Unfortunately, the fee for smoking in the car is 1107 PLN. Hello, No one informed me that I couldn't smoke in the car. I smoked two cigarettes. Literally, two cigarettes. I consider robbing customers this way to be theft. It's despicable to blatantly rob customers without informing them of the penalty, especially for two cigarettes smoked with the window open while stuck in traffic. There was information about transporting dogs and traveling abroad, but nothing about smoking two cigarettes in the car, which in no way affected the condition of the car or caused any damage. I will give you appropriate reviews in the media and on Trustpilot – you thieves. I had the car for 70 hours and drove about 200 km during that time. I needed to get home and back. The total cost of renting the car for three days was £354.54, which translates to 1,722.53 in Polish zloty. This is legal theft, using young people working for an American company. A bonus is due.

Rented a car from Ace in Fort Lauderdale and returned it exactly on time the day it was due (4/6). During the return, I was helped by an employee of the rental facility and handed them the key. Return complete!
SIKE! Later that day I get several texts and voicemails from them claiming that they “couldn’t find the car“ and to “call them back immediately.”
Then come the charges: -$200 from Ace rental my bank account, another -$200, and a flurry of smaller charges (no reasons given for any of these). Ace said the bills would continue “until the car was returned”. I’m back home in Seattle at this point and pleading with them to simply check their CCTV footage, license plate reader‘s logs at the entrance of the facility, car‘s GPS data, or any of their additional tools that would be able verify the location of the car and the fact that I dropped it off on time.
Of course they refused to do this because they knew full well that the car was sitting right there. This is a SCAM, people.
I’ve now had to deactivate my credit card and my bank is currently investigating the charges (a process thats taken many phone calls, time on hold, etc.). I’ve also been in communication with Expedia to understand how this can possibly happen. Dealing with this has become like a full-time job…last thing anyone needs. And on top of that I have now paid $1,010 in total to this garbage company.
Do NOT rent from Ace.

Total Scam do not rent from them. Prices were cheap but you get what you pay for. I returned the car signed the paper work and left with no issues. Nothing was ever brought to my attention regarding damage of the vehicle. Two week later they sent an email claiming damage to the vehicle no pictures no nothing. If the car was damaged why was I allowed to leave without paying anything. they lied the car was not damaged at all furthermore they had no proof. They claim the next renter found the damages and Im confused to how that works. Rockport auto filed a fake claim with my insurance company and are now threating me over money I do not owe. Absolutely worst rental experience ever.

I had a very bad experience with this rental car company.
They added items to the rental agreement that I never asked for, without clearly informing me. It feels like they rely on customers not carefully reviewing the paperwork, because the final price ended up significantly higher than what I originally booked and prepaid.
What was even more concerning is how additional services were handled. I specifically asked to add an additional driver and was told it would cost $12 per day, which I agreed to. However, when the agreement was printed, it showed “additional driver: NONE,” and instead there was an unexpected upgrade to AWD that I never requested.
When I pointed this out, the clerk claimed that the additional driver didn’t need to be listed and could drive anyway, which is not only misleading but potentially risky.
Overall, the experience felt dishonest and unprofessional. I strongly recommend double-checking every line of the agreement before signing.

My partner booked a rental with our airfare. During the booking, you are asked your arrival time. We arrived to the ACE counter. The representative looks up the reservation, my partner signs the highlighted areas on the form and puts the deposit down, in which he thought was included during the initial booking. That may have been overlooked on his part. The representative then tells us to wait on the side and she will call when a car becomes available. Approximately 10-15 minutes passed and my partner went to inquire about why the wait is so long, only for the other representative to say that there are no cars and the wait will be about another 30 minutes. This is poor customer service. When a customer has a reservation, such information should be provided. The purpose of asking arrival time during booking is to is to ensure that a car is available for the customer. The representatives need to communicate better with the customers prior to taking their cars to place a hold for the deposit as well as have respect for a person’s time. With so many reviews, via Google search, regarding poor customer service, trainings are needed. No company should want to see the same kind of reviews regarding the service that is provided. I hope this review will lead to a turn around with the customer service experience for both the customers and staff. Peace and blessings to all.
