Great Deal - Tried Their Best

I took up the Great Offer of AirBand Internet, and they sent out two engineers to connect me to their service. After a great deal of trying to connect me, we found out that, sadly, my property was not in a suitable location for their system.
The offer was amazing, but not to be. Hopefully in the near future, their infrastructure will mean I will be able to connect and benefit from AirBand's deals.

Fantastic internet speed, not the best installation

Fantastic internet speed, exactly as advertised. Ping is incredibly low. Phenomenal!

There are two minor issues - one is CGNAT, which causes problems with self hosting (not really a problem unless you are a techie), and the other is related to the quality of the installation.

The installer left an ugly hole on the front of my house where the cable entry hole was drilled, and the fibre optic cable wasn’t cleated to the house plumb so the whole installation looks distinctly “DIY”. I’ll have to make some modifications myself to make the house look nice again, which is frankly very annoying.

Engineer turned up on time

Engineer turned up on time. He was polite and efficient however he took the easy option and installed the box on the bedroom wall and not adjacent to any power socket. I now have broadband but also have unsightly extension leads and cables. In addition I have the flashing light from the box in my bedroom.

Airband connection..

Owen came to my house today to install our Airband connection. He arrived on time. Really helpful, explained everything and left no mess. Terrific service.

Airband renewal time

Airband renewal time - time to renew has come along. Despite my missing a few calls from Sarah Aybey we managed to complete negotiations on the renewal price to our satisfaction. Timely responses to my emails etc and all was settled quickly. Happy to renew for a further 18 months. many thanks Sarah.

Easy Contract Renewal Friday

In a short period of time I was contacted by customer service(Sarah Aubrey) by voicemail- I rang and was forwarded to her quite quickly, and then discussed and agreed my upcoming contract renewal. Blissfully easy and short!

At last an excellent provider of fast internet in the sticks

To start with, the lady who dealt with my renewal so professionally. Oh her name, Donna Bond. Being located in the countryside with no chance of achieving traditional Broad Band from the major suppliers, I have been with Airband now since they first installed 2 years ago. In that time we have only had one major issue caused by hedge cutting by others which was quickly resolved and only a few minor drop outs.

Pretty Efficient & Good Value

Fairy easy process and decent communication throughout. Bit more complicated as needed a Road Closure to complete installation, which required a few more phone calls. But really helpful guys installed, yet to fully test service bit seems ok.

Excellent customer service!

Spoke to a fantastic chap named Jack Beckett, who got us up and running in just 5 working days. He was super easy to talk to and he kept me informed, every step of the way. We are absolutely delighted with the service from airband, the installation engineer was incredibly quick and our broadband speeds are now the envy of our neighbours. Really can't over emphasise how smooth the whole process was, highly recommended!

Airband installation

I recently had airband installed and even though it was windy,cold and wetoutside,the installers did a great job.They were helpful and made sure I was happy with everything.All working well.

False promises

We live in a rural are and struggle to get good internet. We were so excited to find Airband. They promised us instant speeds of 40Mbps, which would go up into the 100s within the next year or two. When I asked how they could promise so much more than anyone else in our area they said better technology. The engineers who came were fabulous, really friendly, respectful and helpful. However, the customer service to arrange appointments was poor (had to keep chasing) and it turns out they can't give us a connection at all, despite all the promises of the sales team and sending out two different engineers with different kit. Please be honest about what you can provide.

Efficient installation

Jack Johnson was quick and efficient - all installed neatly with no problem. The connection dropped briefly about 15 mins after he left, but we trust this will sort itself out.

Ordered Airband package on the 13…

Ordered Airband package on the 13 November with advisor over the phone and was advised engineer/surveyor would be in touch in 7 days to arrange survey. To date I have heard nothing regarding survey. I have emailed the advisor for an update but no response. Can you provide update regarding the survey as we are currently on an expensive package with BT and wish to transfer asap. Thank you

6+ months of waiting but good in the end.

Apart from 6+ months of waiting for install due to external works. They have been pretty good. Most of the customer service advisors have been friendly and knowledgeable. They are the only full fibre in my road in 2024. So they beat the rest in my opinion. ☺️☺️☺️

Signed up in August... Told install plan may take three weeks... Heard nothing... Chased on 6 November... Automated 'you're important' response... I've decided to cancel today (27 November), as other than automated responses... Heard nothing from anyone...

Edit: as of 30/11/2024, nothing heard from Airband other than the same automated text... Just signed up to Sky instead

Airband the number 1 for rural broadband…

A really friendly and helpful company with a great product for rural area's. From a non existent speed to 300 mbps it has transformed our life with no more buffering and quick downloads. your advisor Emma Underhill dealt with my response in quick and positive way and I am more than happy to renew my contract.
