Worried and unsafe practice

Airbnb asks for picture of ID now after I used it for 11 years , if I want to continue use the plat form ,whilst no other similar platform ask for this, very worried and feel unsafe to disclose my ID, there any so many identity fraud.
I checked online and made phone calls for advice, advised 'if not wish to become a possible victim of identity theft and better like to protect your privacy don't do it. AirBnb is associated with a 3rd party company who's policy states clearly that they can use your information for everything they consider as part of their business = at their convenience. If you later also (need to) provide your credit card information the door is wide open for possible credit card fraud as all your information is with them. Be extremely careful if company's like AirBnb ask for ID's and credit card information"

Why Airbnb asks this for unusual thing? Is it legitimate to comply GDPR? It is very worrying.

Islantilla - CHALET EN PARCELA

The reservation was confirmed in March and was canceled last night 48 hours before entering. If I were the one to cancel, I would immediately lose half the amount paid. I have seen this type of cancellations just because they found someone to pay more for the stay, anyway, it's a shame.

Totally unreliable and a disgrace
We have twice booked a place for a break at Newmarket. The last one was at Glenluce Bungalow apparently “hosted” by Juliette.
Twice now we have been cancelled and the Juliette Glenluce bungalow with only a few weeks before our break.

Airbnb appears totally unreliable and if you are planning a break try a different firm. Glenluce, Juliette and Airbnb are all a total disgrace.

DREADFUL, I ONLY CHANGED MY PHONE NUMBER ON MY PROFILE, NOTHING ELSE MY BOOKING I PAID 534 POUNDS FOR IN AUGUST 2021 FOR THIS FORTHCOMING SUMMER GOT CANCELLED, WHAT?
THEY SAID I CANCELLED IT NO I DIDNT THE HOSTS COTTAGES.COM WONT TAKE ANY NOTICE SAYING ITS STILL BOOKED WITH THEM, AIRNB SAID ITS CANCELLED NO REFUND CONSTANT PHONE CALLS BACK AND FORWARD ONTO FRAUD NOW AND REPORTED IT

La,la,la,la,la we're not listening

No hot water for 5 days,
No Kitchen to cook in,
Thud thud thud of building work for 4 days.
Complained though the Airbnb app which advised me to contact the host no joy with the host
Got back to the UK and complained to Airbnb and are they are basically putting their fingers in their ears and going la la la la la la la la la la, I can't hear you I'm not listening la la la la .
It's all my fault nothing we can do don't care about you we've all got our money.
Avoid at all costs useless if you have a problem.
1st and last time I will never use again .

Made an enquiry into some dates for an…

Made an enquiry into some dates at Veracruz apartments in Benidorm, host came back with some different dates, I did not accept her request, the alternative dates were authorised with no communication with me whatsoever after the initial enquiry . They decided to charge my card anyway. At no point was I directed to a payment page or a CVV code requested. My card details have been kept for 2 years. I had no further communication with them until i was messaged check in details via whatsapp!
Customer services are dire and just close the thread with the complaint unresolved! Do not leave your card details on their system!

My stay I paid for was for 79 days as I came to do business in Jamaica,I used this place as a base as I moved around island alot, this man was stealing as the trap was, I went un withdrew money no guest was there at the time, no locks on my door,it would have only been hom al the time, I wA made to feel more worst as the police was useless, I managed to get something but so hard to get the statement I wrote, they gave me a fake email, belie e that, the police station says I have to get this from headquarters, that's the fake email
PLEADE DONT ALLOW THIS PERSON TO TRADE WITH THIS COMPANY, HE IS FAKE A LIAR AND THEIF,
I asked you to refund my money ,you ask me for evidence I produce 3 slips from Portland police station, San San police, no report I gave was given
Why should I be stolen from and forced to forget?

First time stay in an AIRNB

We recently had our first stay using Airnb, I was a little dubious and worried about this type of stay but boy was I wrong. We had the fortune to stay in a beautiful little studio in London and what a gem it was. I will have no problem with using Airnb for all my future stays and am looking to becoming a host myself as Airnb is a very professional and safe easy to use and manage site, congratulations to you and all your hosts, one happy customer. X

Terrible, terrible, terrible

They don't deserve even one star. We booked a fully furnished apartment in Hollywood Boulevard for our vacation. Our booking was from May 13-May 19. We'd booked one month before we were due to arrive in Los Angeles. We received several confirmation emails, and then suddenly, less than 24 hours before we were supposed to arrive in LA, we received an email saying that our reservation had been cancelled. I spent the following night, searching as hard as I could for a replacement reservation, this was very difficult as we had only a day's notice. My husband and I are hard working doctors from Sydney Australia, this was a terrible occurrence to happen on our holiday.

Wastage of Time and Money

I am sorry to say your website is not that good and the policies which they have. If Identity card was so, important that why they allow to proceed the transactions then it should be done while registering only. But after registering and finalizing the deal, they state that identity card needs to verify to finalize the deal. I tried many times uploading, using different browsers but all in vain.Still it showed that I have not uploaded the verification card . Pathetic...and above all there is no one to address your grievances.If this is that big Company millions people using it then there should be somebody to listen. I am really unhappy and sad from this service. And I had to cancel my trip because of uncertainty. Above all they charge even when the host cancel it. PLEASE.....don't USE this service it's wastage of TIME and MONEY.
