I first met with Alpha Global Wealth a few months ago. I met with James who came to my office, he was professional, polite and at no point pushy. Initially I agreed to the meeting, because on further inspection, I confirmed that James was a fully qualified UK and European financial adviser and affiliated with both UK FCA regulated financial bodies. James demonstrated a deep knowledge and understanding of UK, Swiss and international financial planning and taxation. I was impressed with his energy and enthusiasm in offering advice, with what seemed to be a genuine interest in mine and my family’s needs. Subsequently, I have had a further two meetings at their offices and so far, happy with the advice and solutions offered. I can recommend the company.

Excellent service fast response

We have learnt that Alpha Global Wealth do not do what they claim to do - "obtain a thorough insight into your concerns and objectives and put the client at the center of everything they do". Putting the client first is definitely not what they do.

Communication started with helpful comments like "Any questions, don't hesitate to contact me". Yet when asking questions about how to use the online platform and raising some early queries about the performance of the funds, I received critical feedback as to why I was asking so many questions. I received bizarre messages about an already unsmooth working relationship and when responding to clarify, received no reply. As such, I backed off and stopped my communication, something I shouldnt have to do.

When I started it again several months later, I received the most unprofessional and rude emails. Due to an internal miscommunication and mistake from AGW, I received wrong information to directly communicate with a bank, rather than it be done via AGW, as the employee had originally communicated to me that he would do it. He did not, he made an error (a bad one considering I was seeking to stop payments due to financial difficulties), but one that I was wrongly blamed for. When emailing my shock at the rude responses I was receiving, AGW, like a baby throwing its toys out the pram, emailed to say it was terminating business with me, the client, and that I would be self-managing my accounts. It was the most unprofessional act.

If I did email too many times (I don't believe I did) or do anything wrong (I am sure I did not), I was always polite and professional in my communication, willing to talk and resolve the bizarre comments I was receiving to move forward amicably. Unfortunately, AGW could not have cared less and treated me badly. In one year, I have had ZERO reviews (in person, on phone or via email) of the investments AGW have set up for me.

There are good people at AGW, but there are also unhinged people. As a company, they not only failed to live up to their promises, but they behaved rudely and unfairly, deserting me to manage my finances on my own. Given I did absolutely nothing wrong and it was an AGW internal error, that is truly quite shocking. I would never ever recommend anyone to work with them.

Until now I received good advise and they were very transparent on all cost.

James is a first class Wealth & Investment Manager. He takes the time to get to know you and what you are trying to achieve. He offers excellent advice, is knowledgeable and listens well. He's incredibly efficient, and his follow up is outstanding. He's also proactive in reaching out to review status with me. I never feel like I'm being "sold to" by James, instead I feel he's trying to help me achieve my financial objectives.

James has been calling on me to discuss my pension options for around 5 years in total, and he's formally been my pensions financial advisor for 18 months. During summer 2016 I decided to have my UK DB plans valued with James and his team's support. The valuation multiples were compelling, and James gave carefully considered and conservative advice as to the various options, risks, and likely tax implications. With James you get a balanced view, and one that is focused on long term growth and capital preservation. His knowledge of pension rules and regulations is impressive. James and his team are efficient and responsive, making what is often a complex process seem relatively straightforward.

I have been working with James for 4 years now and I can honestly say that he has surpassed my expectations. The level of communication and professionalism is outstanding. We meet regularly, James and his team manage my portfolios successfully, both in terms of performance growth and the important administration side.
