Overall, we had a really good experience with Trail Angels. They were helpful over email when we were first planning the trip. We went back and forth a few times before deciding on our itinerary and they were quick to respond. They sent a detailed document ahead of the trip, which helped everything go smoothly. The bag transfers and taxi trips we had were all timely and professional. We enjoyed all of the accomodations, especially at Stage 1 in Heiligenblut. We only chose to get breakfast included, which was big and delicious at all of the hotels. The total price seemed high when calculating the daily cost, but we really appreciated the luggage transfers and being able to skip between stages.

I planned a solo trail in the Carnic Alps, and as I had not got any local experience in this area before, I used the services of Trail Angels. They had an amazing staff. They shared the route with me, arranged my transfer from the train station to the starting point, booked my accommodation throughout the trail, and also took care of my special diet request. Although I took part in the hike at my own risk, they also gave me a backup phone number in case of emergency, so I felt much more safe. The hosts along the trail were very kind, and upgraded my room. The food was delecious, the company was great, and the nature around me was picture perfect. I recommend this hike to every adventurous person in good physical condition.

I am grateful for the organization. The team members are helpful and attentive. Maybe a couple of improvements in the baggage service system would not hurt, maybe a couple of welcome gadgets would improve the mood - but basically - I am satisfied. I will apply again next year.

The services from the AAT booking staff was very good. The accommodations were all clean, welcoming and comfortable. The luggage service was perfect. My texts were answered promptly when I had requests or questions. Most of all, the route itself is spectacular. Austria is so beautiful with friendly people and excellent food. I would recommend the AAT or Outdoor active update the GPS files on the trail to reflect the many changes since the GPS tracks were added to the app.

Second time using Trail Angels. First rate assistance on both occasions. Really impressive response times.

I had several questions regarding my route and always received prompt replies with specific answers. In one instance T.A. couldn't help me but provided the contacts for another business that could. I look forward to working with T.A. over the next few months-I believe their planning will be very thorough!

Was a very good experience for me

One of the challenges of organising a walking trip to Europe from Australia is handling accommodation bookings in a different country in a different language. For the AAT we decided to try Trail Angels. It was so easy! A draft itinerary for our trip was sent to Trail Angels who quickly advised on a few minor changes to avoid clashes with other events along the trail. Then in a short time a draft schedule of accommodation bookings was provided with helpful trip notes. Then, without needing to ask, Trail Angels passed the part of our schedule in Slovenia and Italy to their partner group in Slovenia. It was so easy.

The accommodation booked was varied but met our basic request and the variety gave us a broader perspective on the countries we were visiting. We enjoyed it all.

The trail itself was all we had hoped it would be. Well signposted, diverse scenery and a variety of experiences. We would recommend it to anybody keen to do a walk in Europe.

Quick and adequate response to questions I had before I started the tour. Some logistical problems were quickly solved by the support team. Nice stays at local hotels. You need some condition for this tour but technically is well doable.

As always a perfect organized trip! The 4th time already. We will be back next year.

We had a superb experience with Trail Angels every step of the way, from planning the stages on the Alpe Adria, receiving our detailed package of itinerary and trail information, to using their hotline to clarify trail markers and make adjustments when needed. Each lodging was special, our half board program perfectly suited our needs, and the baggage transfer was always timely. Highly recommend this responsive company and we hope to use them again!!

The Trail Angels service was amazing. They are very informative and responsive. The hotels and inns they booked for us were all very comfortable. The luggage service and shuttles were always timely and efficient. I would recommend the Trail Angels to anyone hiking along the Alpe-Adria Trail.

We have used you for for trip covering the Alpe Adria trail in Austria. Everything has worked really well and we gave been happy over the first three. On this last trip, we have two notes: Hotel Garni Buchenhof was nice with good pool, but it was quite far removed from the village center. Gasthof Alte Point restaurant was closed for a ruhetag, and so were all other restaurants in the village. There was no info available on where would be an open restaurant - we had to call the owners after we found all restaurants closed. The info sheet in the room also had all wrong info. They should post clear info on the dinner options during their rest days.
And note: this survey should also have an English language option. Some of these questions are not clear for a non-German speaker.

Mallnitz to Obervellach was the best. Seeboden to Dobriach also had spectacular scenery but was challenging.
