Avoid do not use this site it is a complete rip-off !!! I Took out a trial. The site is full of fake profiles and bots so I cancelled my subscription, although the app makes it impossible to delete your account. Despite the above-mentioned, they still charge me £39.99 a month. When I emailed customer support, they refused to refund me despite confirming I have cancelled my subscription. I’ve now had to contact my bank to block future payments and change my bank details

Simply the worst website of its kind. Try cancelling your membership, good luck. You have to 'apply' to do so by filling in a lengthy 'cancelation' form - putting in all the information they already have. This is to make you simply give up and remain a customer. No other dating website requires this. It is also not made abundantly clear that a subscription is automatically made to auto-renew. Neither is the fact that you have to 'tell' them you want to cancel by giving them 7 days notice. I've never experienced these kinds of barriers on any other site. No other site makes you fill out a 'cancellation form' in order to leave. Even after being allowed to cancel you need to go back and delete the account, otherwise your profile stays active. It is all geared to make you stay. The fact that this company has a one-star rating across reviews should tell you something. My mistake in not looking at reviews beforehand. Avoid.

Useless - most never reply and didn’t get a single date. I’ve cancelled but they are still trying to collect payments. In my opinion C-Date is a complete scam.

Hello.i have received a email from a debt recovery company in Luxembourg.not sure.saying I owe subscriptions to the amount of £396.i have never heard of this company.yes I've subscribed to other well known dating sites in uk with no problems.

I would advise to keep away. The site has very few online member to contact. Chats and profiles always appear to be "bot farm" generated. Account is virtually impossible to manage, and membership aggressively chased by the organisers, despite membership being paid in advance. An extremely poor money grabbing site.

Took out a one month trial. Site is full of bots and fake accounts. Tried to cancel subscription and delete account in app, app made it impossible to do so. Emailed company to request cancellation and received no reply. Cancelled subscription through PayPal and received a refund. Company is now illegally harassing for debt collection on a subscription which I have not renewed. They should be prosecuted for fraud.

All women profiles fake and do not exist
A scam and deception aimed at creating a illusion the women profiles are real
The sole intention is seeking a membership and enforcing collection
Interdate are seeking memberships for fake women profiles

Totally untrustworthy site and company, I cancelled my subscription a very long time ago way before the renewal as I was prepared to pay that to get no response from the woman I message, I came to the conclusion that all these are just fake profiles. I have recently been contacted by interstate who own c-date saying they want me to pay for my renewal which I am not prepared to pay, I have told them that I cancelled my subscription some time ago and I have been asked to prove it. I am unable to do this as I delete all correspondence from them as I thought I carried the cancellation propose correctly, it was very difficult to cancel and I think they have done this on purpose.

Its a scam.
The service is terrible. Full of fake profiles. Its not a dating service its a con. a scam. Then if you try to cancel you cant.
I've spent a month fighting to cancel during which time they have taken money from my bank against my specific instructions.
DO NOT USE THIS SERVICE.
update: Paypal have refunded me and reported this C date to cyber crime department of the police.
I also have a number to call the police to report the crime.

Someone paid a subscription using data hacked from my laptop. I wrote to c-date and effectively they couldn’t have cared less and threatened me with a debt collection order unless I paid up. This is one of the worst companies I have ever come across DO NOT USE C-Date.

C-Date and InterDate S.A are scammers I believe and I think should be reported to Action Fraud and the Police for fraudulent practices. I originally joined months ago and paid 1 month membership at £9.90 before it increases to £39.90 the following month. I cancelled 5 days before the renewal date but now they have been requesting this is paid since I did not cancel 7 days before the renewal date and issuing reminders via a German company now raising the debt to nearly 200 Euros. My credit card company recommended I place a stop on the company which they did. I see others are experiencing the same and it is really disappointing that a website you go to to seek hopefully love instead turns out to be largely full of fake profiles, services run by the company (see their T&Cs) for the benefit of its subscribers (I read this is AI generated bots and profiles) and take your money via these dubious practices and are not fully upfront through their advertising promising this and that when most of it is just not real. This is mis-selling in the eyes of the Financial Conduct Authority and liable for prosecution under UK law. I think they should be investigated by the National Crime Agency.

Had no trouble cancelling - but so what...I had to cancel because the operation is utterly frustrating and fruitless. No answers, left hanging, conversations abandoned when it appeared they were getting going. Very boring and just a waste of time/money. Avoid.

I don't really get some of the negative reviews about C-Date.In my experience, the site basically works just fine. The layout is solid, there are plenty of members, and it's easy to get into conversations. If you give it a bit of effort, you can definitely get results here.

This site is awful, they make the cancellation process incredible hard, and even when you do, they still chase and harass you for more and more money. So not subscribe to this website.

What did people do get themselves out of this situation?
I should of looked at the reviews for this site but I didn’t sadly, i been on the site signed up for membership back early April this year. same as everyone else just not possible to cancel the membership and delete my account so I just told my bank to about it they stopped any payments come through, now I have gotta letter from eCollect saying I owe them £260.15? So I’m unsure what to do ? I think I should report to police let them deal with it or is anything I can do stop this happening again ?

1000% scammers!!
Didn’t cancel my subscription which I didn’t want in the first place!
When I finally cancelled they still tried taking money which my bank stopped, now getting emails and letters with threats.
No having any more money out of me when you stop a subscription but they still take your money.

Reply from C-Date
I joined for a month last night. As soon as payment was taken I was then informed they would take £39.90 every month which I certainly did not sign up for. I have followed the cancellation guidelines on your site and cancelled today. I have also stopped any future payments being taken. This is clearly a scam.

Reply from C-Date
Do not sign up to this site you will never receive a message back from anyone.they all live no were near you.you send a email to cancel your subscription they do not reply and when they do send you a email it's for a lot more money complete scam

Absolutely shocking, my details were used fraudulently to register with this site. I've been hounded by their solicitors based in Frankfurt for money on a membership that I didn't take out. I've explained that to the solicitors "Advokat Radoslav Koychev" with documentation from the police but they still pursue the monies. I've been informed by the detectives looking into the case that many cases are ongoing.
And as you can see from the reply below they have no concept of what is going on. We have reached out Lea to your customer services team to be told they have no information regarding this and to speak directly with the solicitors as it's in their hands now. So I'm not sure why your telling me to go back to customer services when they won't talk to us. I would presume that they C-Date and Advokat Radoslav Koychev solicitors work in this scam together. If you read reviews of the solicitors, they're equally bad reviews.
It will be interesting to see the outcome of the police investigations ☺️ and in relation to the trading standards of C-Date and the aggressive approach of Advokat Radoslav Koychev
Update, Seriously Lea did you not read anything that's been written 🤣🤣 your own reply is contradictory to what you wrote 🤗
my details were used fraudulently. I'm leaving the police to deal with you guys at C-Date and the dodgy solicitors that are connected with
further to note that the act of knowingly pursuing an individual for a debt which is not owed may constitute a criminal offence under Section 40 of the Administration of Justice Act 1970 UK

They now instruct another dodgy solicitor

If you look at their Google reviews, equally illegal and dodgy

I would give minus rate review if I could
I have sent many emails stating that The cancellation process is not there and that I have mental health issues yet they still are pursuing me for money
Avoid this site at all costs
They are bullies and keep harrasing you till they get your money
It may be in the ts and cs about you having to pay but why can't they be an honest dating site and not try to rip people off
I have repeatedly asked you by emailto delete my account and like many other people they find it hard to delete their account
All you keep doing is throwing your terms and conditions at me and say how easy it to delete when I'm not the only person who is struggling
