I've tried to cancel my profile and requested a refund. But when I enter my details on their site and press send email it doesn't allow me to send. This is a scam company. Avoid at all costs

Fake . Useless . Expensive .
Be careful they took 6 month of premium subscription with no chance or refound.
The search method force you to chose between post codes of one city instead of the simple city name . If you do this they still send you contact from random cities. Matching system useless . Do not buy it do not subscribe

Utter scam. They do not let you cancel and then charge you repeatedly. There was no way to cancel through their website so I stopped the payments through my bank. I was then threatened legal action which they then did to force me to pay an extortionate amount of money. Do not sign up to this site!!!! These people who run this site are cowards and the lowest of the scum!

Update- C Date refuse to admit they are a scam even though they are! All you have to do is just read other reviews! Stay well clear!

One of the worst scamming dating sites that I’ve come across. AVOID!
People who create and run these sites should be arrested and jailed immediately.

Terrible site. Women don’t need to put photos up. Seems many are fake. Site provides matches. No banter & hardly a response. Tinder 100x better

After realising that this site was poor, I decided to cancel my subscription, forgot and was charged the recurring monthly fee, fair enough, my fault. Having been directed to email the customer services department stating my wish to unsubscribe, I did. Hearing nothing in return I tried again, with no response. I cancelled the recurring payment and have now received a threat of legal action to recover a £50 debt. Stay well clear of this site!

Like others here, this website is a complete scam. I wish I'd come here first before signing up. It offers almost zero matches, no one replies to the messages you send and it's almost impossible to cancel your payments, delete your profile or membership.

I signed up for a month and have been ghosted ever since. It's obvious the replies are generated by AI or someone sitting by a swimming pool in the sun sending generic responses.

I signed up with PayPal and went there to cancel any future payments.

Internet theft of the highest order.

The internet is the perfect breeding ground for scam operations like C-Date.

I'm confident that the name C-Date was the joke name they came up with when they set up this site of deceit. It stands for Con-Date.

Having now read through other reviews here on Trustpilot, ignore all the rubbish you will receive from ecollect, or some firm of German lawyers or the customer 'care' team (lol). It only matters when a British court of law makes an appointment to attend for you.

SCAM, SCAM, SCAM!

This company is nothing but a scam, designed to rob you blind. They will continuously charge your account, and no matter what you do, they won’t stop. I strongly advise you to freeze your card information immediately and contact your bank to block further charges, as they will NOT cancel your membership willingly.
There is no cancellation form on their website, despite their constant claims. Instead, they play a ridiculous game, repeatedly asking you to fill out a form that simply doesn’t exist. Save yourself the trouble and stay far away from this site!

It's just totally rubbish, what more can I say. It's not worth the 1 star. Its a take your money for nothing business. Total scammers

Wish I could give it -1 star , signed up on 16th September 2024 then thought I would try the 3 months for £9.99 and was charged £119.98 , even though there was only £10 in my PayPal it deducted it straight from my bank account overdrawing me , I have tried since to get a refund and no once have I been answered by customer support, this is a complete scam , I have screen shots of all the payment plans what you sign up for and it is very misleading it says £9.99 for 3 month but what it dosent tell you is that’s a weekly price that is taken in full , they say it’s there in black and white but I have discovered the price I hidden in plain sight in the small print so this is how they get away with the misleading information and are able to scam so many people out of money also the sight if full of fake profiles , do not use its a complete waste of time .

These websites are designed to steal money like a common thief!

We know nothing about this dating site and haven’t signed up to it but are receiving debt collection letters from a solicitor in Frankfurt. Only our surname appears and half of our correct address. I can only presume it is a scam so please be aware.

I can confirm I made the full payment to cms on 14th Sept.

I signed up for this website, intention was to try for 1 month, nothing is there, all fake photos and accounts, cancelled my subscription, they tried to steal 40 pounds from my credit card and extend my membership for another month, the bank detected there robbery and my credit card was suspended. Now they’re eamiling me everyday to give them the 40 pounds they failed to steal, they said accounts can only be cancelled by Fax!!
Anyway, just be careful, they are obvious thieves

Complete scam, fake profiles, and automated responses. Heres the BIG clue, how many of the participants here are male? I have written a cease and desist letter and now still get physical mail from another collection agency demanding I pay nearly €600. I have contacted and tried to cancel my account numerous times before my details were passed on. It is quite clear that c-date need to act. You clearly see from everyone making the same complaint that the c-date need to be properly investigated.

Total scam. They automatically sign you up to a subscription and then take money from your account. When you try to cancel they make it impossible. Then they claim that you have not cancelled and continue to attempt to take money. I cancelled my card that was used and they are sending threatening emails claiming I owe even more. I stated in my response that I had attempted to cancel and they still won’t acknowledge the account is cancelled. Frauds!!!! Please Avoid!!!!

Cancellation link is only available when you are logged OFF. Most browsers automatically log you on so the link is not available. I assume this is by design so that this corrupt company can try to keep adding extra monthly charges.
No credit agreement is signed and by UK law this means cancelling payment should count as cancellation. C-date ignores this and starts debt recovery.
The automatic renewal is in small print and apparently by signing up you are agreeing to a subscription.

I'm in agreement with everyone else. This site borders on being a scam. Their different subscription options are confusingly described and priced so that you'll likely get hit with an up-front fee for a much larger amount than you were led to believe. I complained to their management about that and asked for an adjustment, to no avail. It turns out that, if you use the site even for one minute after signing up (thereby discovering how lame it is) the full up-front fee becomes non-refundable.

There is so little going on there that the site administrators have to generate their own fake traffic.
I actually had my account used by somebody (or some robot that the site runs) to contact another member to make it seem as if I had reached out to them. When I explained to that other member what was going on, she did respond, sort of, but it didn't generate the sort of "Are you kidding me? That's crazy, LOL!" response I would expect if that were a real member. So, at this point it wouldn't surprise me if I were actually just talking to a c-date employee or even just a bot giving me a minimal response.

This was my first dip of the toe into the waters of online dating, so I didn't know what to expect. Then, I went over to another dating site that was better rated, and within a few hours I had chatted some really cool people, and even went out in person with one within about a week.

So, c-date...you got me, this time. Enjoy your up-front lump sum. It's the last money you're getting from me.
