Worst experience ever, would not give any stars, cake arrived, size of a small envelope. Arrived on the day of the birthday even though I had emailed and spoken to them and they assured me it would arrive 2 days before. When I tried to complain I was told nothing could be done as cake was with third party delivery company. Emailed to complain but returned as undeliverable!

I ordered cake. Delivery person couldnt wait for me to get to the door and I could hear from my bedroom window that it was being thrown! £55 worth cake being smashed and company doesnt deal with THEIR delivery people so I was told I wont get a refund! I wont get another cake and its not their responisbility!! Day before my sons 1st birthday Im without a cake! Definitely dont recommend.. it looks like sh...t.

After seeing the other reviews for this website I was apprehensive about the cake I ordered, but was pleasantly surprised! I received a call shortly after ordering to confirm the order and allergies etc. The cake arrived on the day I had chosen and tasted absolutely gorgeous! Will definitely be using again!

The Rating should be 0. I paid 60UK Pounds and got NOTHING. It was never delivered. The 'Cakes Next Day' response to my request for a full refund was to tell me they have no responsibility for the cake being delivered and for me to to take it up with the delivery company. Shocking.

This store is an absolute joke, paid £70 pound for a pick n mix birthday cake and what came wasn't even worth a tenner. What was meant to be red and white stripes on the base of the cake had all moulded into one colour, the dripping effect on the top was messy and unrecognisable. The cake itself was tiny and smelt and tasted weird (only tasted the icing as it got on my finger) so god knows what the inside tastes like. The sweets came separately for me to decorate and arrange myself which I was aware of and fine with, however all of the sweets expired last month! I also had a phone call of one of their colleagues asking if I would like my personalised message written in red icing just like the picture, what came was my message typed on a piece of paper!!! I emailed, texted and rung this company and had no response so resorted to leaving an angry and poor review on their Facebook page, straight away they rung me offering me a partial refund as soon as id taken the review down, as that's all they cared about. I refused this as the cake has gone straight in the bin, they then offered me the full amount but as a credit check on their website so either way they'd still be getting my money! I also discussed my issues with the cake with them on the phone to which they replied 'we can't guarantee all of the cakes will look like the picture' so even admitted to me that what they do is false advertisement. Absolutely appalling id avoid this place at all costs. I am now having to dispute this with my bank.

Excellent customer service. Cake was delivered the very next day. Just as it was described on the website. I was kept updated at every stage. Will certainly be using them again.

Upon realising my son in law and daughter were coming to visit and he had recently had a birthday,I quickly searched for a cake delivery.That is where Cakes Next Day comes.A selection of cup cakes arrived within 24 hours.They were exceedingly delicious.They are now on my phone directory.Very good service.

Ordered a cake in good time. It never arrived and they ignore your calls and emails. Total sham of a company, disgusting way to treat customers just taking the money for nothing!
Save yourself the bother, use a local company who actually make cakes. If I could give 0 stars I would

For the last 6 years we have ordered all of our kids birthday cakes from this company. Kids say what theme/picture they want on top of the cake and I upload it. This year all the same from order to delivery but what a massive quality difference! The cake was dry and all the other ingredients overly sweet. No taste at all. I will not purchase a cake in the future. Very sad!

I have never received such bad service. No cake or refund weeks later. They will not answer the phone or respond to messages.

Do not buy from here. They lied about when they sent it and it never even arrived. I tried to ask for a refund so they said it will arrive today and it didn’t. Stalling for time when they had no intention of delivering it. The company is a scam. False tracking numbers and plagued with phone calls all saying conflicting information. Also was told the cakes are frozen. Say they aren’t liable for couriers not delivering yet have ‘guaranteed selected delivery’ on their website. Waste of time and put a damper on a main birthday gift

You will read from the email below that my wife's birthday cake was to be delivered 01 April but was rescheduled for today 06 April. Still no cake.

AVOID!!! never got the product I paid for, was given a fake tracking number and now going through PayPal to get my money back. Don't order from here please.

Terrible experience. Ordered a cake for a birthday, couldn't get in contact with them the day before to ensure it would be delivered, used their WhatsApp to message to ensure the birthday cake would be delivered for the Saturday (birthday on Sunday and they don't deliver that day) they ensured would arrive at 8, no sign tried to ring again no answer. Heard nothing back from then so asked for a refund as the service was not provided to me, was pushed over to a different email address and told it was issue with courier. Courier then delivered cake 2 days later and not in great condition, have only been ignored by the company when I've requested a refund which I believe is a fair request.
Needless to say birthday was ruined.

This company has a system which allows you put an order in without mandatory fields being filled. So you get an order confirmation email and the money is taken from your bank (VERY promptly) .... THEN they send you an email saying that your order is 'on hold' because they don't know when you want the cake ( am I being unreasonable in thinking that a company called 'cakes next day' and who actively promote and guarantee this in their publicity would have that as a default delivery assumption? ... but anyway). Tried sooooooo many times to contact and let them know, via all the means they indicated in their email. Never got a response. Asked for a refund which was refused on the basis that I had not contacted them 'on the day' .... so it would seem that 5 phone calls to two different numbers, two WhatsApp messages and a voice message with all my details wasn't trying hard enough.
Absolutely shocking customer service. Wish I had read reviews before ordering, but I was desperately trying to make my daughters birthday a little bit special. All that happened was that this made it a little bit more rubbish than it was already. This company is unresponsive and doesn't seem to care about anything other than getting hold of and keeping your money. They currently have £40 of mine for absolutely nothing. I have been offered a credit note as that's 'all they can do'. Please forgive the language but that is bulls**t. They never started making a cake for me, so the only person who has lost anything here is me. And my daughter, who never got a birthday cake.

We had a great experience. Sent a personalised chocolate cake to our daughter who lives away from us, for her 25th. Ordering was easy (although a few issues paying with PayPal), received a call later the same day to confirm the details, then the cake was delivered as expected on the following day. Couldn’t have asked for it to go better. My only negative would be that for the size, they’re expensive, but this is probably justified by the speed of the service.

Terrible service, avoid using this company. Product arrived 3 days late. i tried calling 30 times over the space of 3 days and only managed to get an answer twice. The first time I was told to call back the following day. When I managed to get through to someone the next day I was told they couldn't help and someone else would call me back (they never did). I also sent emails which were all ignored. When the delivery finally turned up it was completely battered and missed the occasion i ordered for anyway.

When I placed an order email confirmation has not arrived. I contacted the company to find out what is going on. Next morning they got in touch asking me which day I would like this cake to be delivered so I have replied to that. They sent me email back to say the earliest that they can deliver is today. Luckily my cake arrived in one piece but was surprised as the cake is very small comparing that to the price I paid; it taste good though. Anyway I wouldn’t order from them again so I don’t recommend this company.

Totally rubbish company. Didn't deliver at all, didn't let me know about the delay or even cancellation. No contact at all. The call center is keeping You waiting for 10 mins and then disconnecting. If it's not a fraud I don't know what is. Unfortunately I didn't check TrustPilot reviews before ordering - it was my mistake. My partner was having a birthday - they ruined it for us. PLEASE DO NOT USE IT!!!

only not possible for me to give 0 star. These guys are fraud! delivered totally wrong cake without the extras I paid for. Cake is horrible. gosh! I regret this wholeheartedly.
