Excellent communication throughout process. The team were friendly and supportive. Any questions we had were answered either over the phone or in person with a visit to our property. Highly recommend this company. Very competitive.

We were most impressed with Cardinal's competency and professionalism throughout the installation process. The team are very customer focused and there was always someone on hand to answer questions and resolve any concerns. We are delighted with the installation and would recommend Cardinal to anyone considering having solar panels themselves.

Cardinal Energy took my case over from Smart Energy to whom I'd already paid a deposit but then subsequently folded. I was very pleased they took on my project and honoured the original quotation therefore losing no money.

The insulation eventually took place as agreed even though having a flat roof provided some extra complications. Although there were some unavoidable delays I was kept up to date and they worked around my work rota. Happy with the work now all complete.

As soon as Cardinal took over my installation everything went right. They were efficient, came when they said, did the job with care and expertise, explaining at just the right level. After installation they kept checking remotely and then returned to do a tweak to improve the system - completely free. Customer and technical service was excellent throughout. A great experience - and still is.

Smart energy was the company originally contracted to install solar panels and a battery. Cardinal carried out the work following Smart Energy's demise. They kept me informed throughout the process. Their staff were first rate and the installation could not have been done any more efficiently. Highly recommended.

Having had solar panels and battery installed by a company that does not need to be mentioned, an arrangement was made between that company and Cardinal Energy to have its customers continued maintenance and warranty issues become the responsibility of Cardinal Energy. Accordingly, on receiving this notification, I chose to have a slave battery added to my existing system. The difference in undertaking the task by this company was rather noticeable. The communication was clear and concise, the plan of action was quickly determined and completion was carried out very professionally with by their staff, (not contracted in, which can have its own problems), who were friendly and represented their company very favourably. I first contacted Smart Energy in January 2023 and again on 15 February 2023 by filling in a form confirming my order for Solar Panels and a Battery with a deposit of £2 100. I was told that installating the panels would not be till May 2023. Charlene Yu of Smart Energy sent me a questionnaire to be completed about various details concerning the location of the panels on the roof. Many of the questions I could not answer as I had no access to my roof. I sent Charlene Yu the details that I could give on 6 March 2023.
On 4 May 2023 a surveyor from Cardinal Electric Ltd came to make an assessment as to the possible location of the equipment to be delivered and fitted. I understood that Smart Energy had sub-contracted the installation to Cardinal Electric. He indicated that a roofer would come to verify the space available on the roof for the solar panels. The roofer came the next day. On 19 May, scaffolds were constructed on the south wall of the house.
I was informed by email that installtion would take place on the 26 May. This was later modified to 29 May, but again modified to 30 May. The surveyor had stated that the installation would be completed in one day but infact it took two days. Two members of the team came on a subsequent day install a dongle to enable me to monitor the workings of the solar panels.
Although from the initial order to final completion took rather a long time, the actual process of installation was competently, cleanly and efficiently done. The electricians got on with the job, were polite and explained to a nonagenarian how the system worked.
I was well satisfied with the work undertaken.

An outstanding service and support. The whole team at Cardinal Energy provided excellent and friendly care; from panels to bird guards, our whole system is ‘flaming’ (not literally) brilliant. We not only are benefiting from the buy back but also it is helping with our own energy usage from using it more efficiently as well as making full use of ‘our’ solar production. I could not rate Cardinal Energy more highly.

Kept me informed of what was happening and arrived when they said they would. Installation of a second battery all went well and the installer made sure I was happy with everything before leaving.
