I can only concur with most of the reviews on the Chronicle, it's terrible.
I now. Have my tablet set up so I only receive suggestions for news and articles that interest me, most of the Chronicle news items do just that.
However I have yet to experience a more clunky, add bloated unusable site, I often give up reading news stories and do a web search to find the same story on another site, ( Northumberland Gazette for example) I often give up waiting for pages to appear, such as the comments on stories, all the bandwidth seems to be absorbed by numerous adds, ( news flash no one reads them or cares).
I can imagine the reply," if people were prepared to pay for content it could be provided add free", but just look at the free content that already exists, very poor performance from a previously trusted publication, Joseph Cowen would turn is his grave!
