After just getting a refund from my credit card provider for an item paid for, but never sent, I would avoid this company. Communication with Paul was almost non-existent, constantly telling me he will 'sort asap' but never doing so. It seems odd that some reviews praise the company whilst others warn of similar issues to my own. Your choice!

I ordered three pairs of eclipse glasses ( to separate addresses) and when there was no notification to say they had been dispatched I tried to cancel the orders. No response.
The glasses did arrive, but a day late. To be fair, this may have been Royal Mail’s fault as their service is terrible.
I have since returned them and all my emails have been ignored. I eventually got a refund for two of the three pairs, but no word on the others.
So not impressed by their customer service.

I bought a box of glasses for me, friends and family and the glasses didn't arrive on time. The day it arrived, I requested a return/refund and it's processing for the past 5 days. They don't reply to emails either.
What am I suppose to do?

I purchased the Helio-view solar handheld viewer at the very last minute, and I honestly couldn’t be happier with my purchase! The seller was absolutely fantastic and thanks to them, the solar eclipse on 12 August 2026 was such a wonderful and memorable experience.
The viewer worked brilliantly and made it possible to enjoy watching the eclipse safely and clearly. The service was excellent, especially considering how last-minute my purchase was.
I would highly recommend this seller and the Helio-view solar handheld viewer to anyone. If I could, I would definitely give them more than 5 stars! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

I made an order online for the solar eclipse glasses and then within a short time I cancelled the order. I have also sent an email with no response. The tracking of the item still says preparing, I've had no communication with them since taking my money. I will just have to wait and see if they will action my request. Order was on the 8th of August at 22.25, cancellation time was at 22.32.

Thought I should add a positive review, as the ones below seem a bit mixed! Ordered 3 pairs of viewing glasses for the solar eclipse on Wed 12th Aug 2026 - arrived within 3 days as promised, in perfect condition due to the good quality packaging. So we're all set! - thanks...

Ordered an eyepiece on the 21st, still hasnt arrived, have sent multiple emails requesting an update and have had no response.

From previous reviews (which I wished I’d checked sooner) this seems to be common practice.

I’ll be contacting my bank.

I bought from this company on ebay Telescope Telstar Se8 £1319.99 it said 24 hour delivery and its been now 3 weeks later
No reply no refund no info absolutely shocking Scammers opened cancellation and it was refused
This was a birthday gift that i promised my wife years and years ago and finnaly i bought it for her got Scammed
I will contact my bank to do a charge back claim and i definitely do not recommend this disgraceful company to any one

Purchased a Player One Uranus-C Pro at the sale price from the website.
Ordered late Monday, arrived Wednesday Morning.
Well packaged, well managed delivery, good price, happy customer.

My parcel was sent by the wrong method and I was upset as I had paid considerably more for the special delivery. However, sent a complaint immediately requesting a refund and this was done straight away. Good customer service from this company and the immediate refund is much appreciated. With thanks.

Ordered Retekess TD165 pager system and paid £189.99 via PayPal on 16/12. Product never received, so after 4 weeks tried contacting Paul at Dark Clear Skies via mobile, email and Facebook. No response whatsoever to any messages. In absence of any explanation, I’ll have to seek a refund via PayPal.

At the end of last year (I do apologise if certain dates/times and certainties are a bit vague, but when you get to my age (nearly 80) things are not as clear as they used to be) I bought a Spotting Scope from Dark Clear Skies. I used it once (possibly twice) and then put it away for the winter. On reopening the box in the spring of this year, I noticed a rather large crack in the top of the Spotting Scope, so I informed Paul Stevenson (?) at Dark Clear Skies of the problem.

My email was promptly answered, but after that I thought it was taking rather a long time to rectify so I emailed again. Again the email was answered with a promise to clear the problem up. A day or so later I received an email from Paul Stevenson asking for more details. This was fine, but the timing was not good. I have serious health issues (physical and mental) and was in bed at the time, as it was gone eight in the evening. So because of my mental health issues I couldn't think correctly so I just blocked any further incoming emails!

This all took place some months back, so I emailed Paul Stevenson yesterday and said that this protracted issue could have been sorted out so easily.

What a fantastic service and shop. Pre ordered a Seestar S30 back in December. Was informed would be mid Feb for stock. Received an email Sunday to pay the balance, which i did immediately, the product arrived Tuesday. Super quick postage and the product is amazing. Will use this business again.

I recently purchased an ASI533MM camera. I received it very promptly but there was a problem with it.
Contacted Paul and he replaced it no problem.
I strongly recommend this site.
