It is the most practical course ever

This is one of the most practical course that I ever had in the technical field. It is concrete, straight to the point and full of handful tips that can be used in your day-to-day activities as a Data Engineer. I totally recommend it!

As an Analytics Manager in Decision…

As an Analytics Manager in Decision Management, I work extensively with regulatory reporting and large-scale data reconciliation. While I’ve long been comfortable with analytics and BI tools, I wanted to deepen my technical foundation in data engineering—specifically around pipeline automation, orchestration, and scalable data infrastructure. That’s what led me to Zach Wilson’s Data Engineering Bootcamp. The program offers a well-structured journey through the core pillars of modern data engineering:
Python & SQL for data manipulation and automation
Cloud infrastructure (AWS) covering S3, Lambda, and Redshift
Orchestration & transformation tools including Airflow and dbt
Data modeling principles like dimensional and data vault modeling
Streaming & batch processing using Crontab and scheduler. Zach’s teaching style is straightforward, fast-paced, and focused on real-world application. He explains complex concepts like data orchestration or cloud architecture in a way that bridges theory and practice. The Discord community was active and collaborative, and Zach’s team provided helpful feedback on project submissions. I highly recommend this for anyone who is interested in pivoting into data engineering field

Appreciate your work

Good contents and workshops, it's easy to understand and follow but for my preference, it would be better if videos could be shorter or alternative choice instead of videos such as text, article.

It opened my eyes and moved my career forward

I did the Bootcamp at the start of the year and left with a clear view of what it takes to be a good data engineer. I got a simple map of technical skills, soft skills, and work habits. It also showed me topics in the field I had ignored because I was stuck in my own bubble. The content is practical and current. Mentors are easy to reach and give direct feedback. Career support helped with CV, portfolio, and interviews.

With all that, I moved to a better job and feel more valued, worth every euro, and I recommend it to anyone who wants to make the jump.

It needs focus and discipline.

The video tutorials were well done

The video tutorials were well done. zach clearly explained when a particular strategy was useful, the concepts behind the approach and the actual mechanics required. the examples were very relevant and translatable into actual business requirements design for data pipelines

This free bootcamp is honestly a gem

This free bootcamp is honestly a gem. It’s packed with super practical info and taught by someone who clearly knows the data engineering world inside out. The way everything is explained just clicks — it’s not fluff, it’s the real deal.

You do have to commit time and effort, but it’s totally worth it if you’re serious about improving your skills. I learned a ton and came out feeling way more confident in areas I used to find confusing.

Big thanks to Zach and the team for putting this together and sharing such high-quality content for free. It’s rare to find something this valuable without a price tag.
