DPD customer service is a joke.
DPD customer service is a joke.
Due to work commitments, I was not able to be at home at the time when DPD attempted to deliver the goods at my home address. Therefore, I requested that the parcel be delivered to a pickup point, as this would allow me to collect it at a convenient time. My request was completely ignored, and instead DPD proceeded to send my goods back to the seller without informing me whatsoever. My attempts to contact them were unsuccessful and I have received no useful information whatsoever throughout the whole process. Even the tracking system was not working properly for much of this period, which made the situation even more frustrating.
Paid home delivery not provided
Paid home delivery not provided – repeated failed delivery promises
I am extremely dissatisfied with the service provided by DPD regarding my parcel SHOWROOMPRIVÉ – tracking number 09861930484246D.
I paid for home delivery, but the parcel has still not been delivered.
DPD has repeatedly provided specific delivery time slots, all of which were missed:
* 29 September: 2:00 pm–3:00 pm
* 30 September: 1:30 pm–2:30 pm
* 1 October: 2:00 pm–3:00 pm
Despite these repeated promises, the parcel remains undelivered.
This is not the first time I have experienced this problem with DPD. On a previous occasion, after repeated delivery problems, I was eventually forced to go to a collection point myself to retrieve a parcel that I had paid to have delivered to my home.
This is unacceptable. A home delivery service was paid for. I did not pay for DPD to repeatedly move my parcel between facilities or eventually send me to a collection point to collect it myself.
The parcel does not belong to DPD. It belongs to the customer, and DPD is responsible for delivering it to the agreed address as part of the service that was paid for.
I will be submitting a formal complaint through the Portuguese Complaints Book (Livro de Reclamações) regarding this matter.
I expect DPD to provide a clear explanation for the repeated failed delivery attempts and, above all, to deliver my parcel to the address originally provided, without requiring me to collect it from a Pickup point.
This is not an acceptable level of service
Fraud! Telling lies! Lost parcel!
Every time I have a DPD delivery it's a disaster!
Normally the driver says I'm not at home, but I am.
This time it's more serious.
Somebody forged my signature and took my parcel.
I can see from the tracking map it was signed for 75km from my house.
This company should be shutdown.
DPD Portugal failed to deliver to a Portuguese address within 9 days
DPD collected my parcel from
The warehouse in Portugal on 30th August. It is now the 8th September and the parcel still has not been delivered to my address in Portugal. I have rang them on numerous occasions and so has the pharmaceuticals supplier. Despite living on a main national road I have had to provide 2 alternative addresses of shops and cafes to make it easy for DPD and still no delivery. They are a disgrace.
Terribly, never deliver, never come to collect.
Terribly, dont deliver

Never collect package.
Never answer, always sh..ty AI

The worst delivery service.
Delivery Very Late
Delivery Very Late, impossible to contact company for information, website unhelpful, customer services difficult to contact and then totally unhelpful
DPD world-wide service is a disaster
This review does not pertain just to DPD PT, but the entire DPD word-wide operation.
By far and wide the most disorganized, slow, and poor quality currier service I have ever dealt with.
I have experienced everything other reviewers are complaining about - delayed, damaged packages, delivery people who lie that they attempted delivery. On top of this, their portal seems to be written by a bunch of squirrels - the overall layout is a disaster, tracking information shows up different on each individual national site, login sessions get dropped, spurious error messages, etc.
From now on I will ask my suppliers to use other currier services and refuse ones that offer DPD only.
DPD Portugal: Why is your service so much in need of improvement?
Sometimes I get angry, like today when we stayed in the village for 2,5 hours having two coffees just to be sure the delivery goes well, when we heard that the driver (dpd Portugal) had already come by and delivered a bunch of packages but not ours - again… And feeling my husband’s disappointment and worry about the harp that we ordered that would now be driving around in the heat for another day made me think of writing a review - also expressing all the previous experiences with dpd in Portugal.
I was just saying to him: How can it be that, no matter where we live, North, Alentejo, now Central, most of the drivers seem to have the same bad habits and lack of will to be in service or just do their jobs well? What does this company do wrong to create such an environment? So, leaving this question unanswered now, I’d like to focus my energy here on thanking the one driver that delivered the last package a month ago - such a nice guy, and all perfectly fine! This is the second star. Otherwise I would give only 1. As well as to beg the company to take a look at the problems in their house. I think they have given enough people a reason to complain. Thanks!
ZERO customer service; Nothing delivered; wasted time!
DPD sends emails with delivery windows and a code to provide but then they do not show up. Tracking later reflects packages were 'delivered & signed for' but my best guess is they're sent back to some depot. I wasted hours waiting and promptly emailed customer service a few times. 2 weeks later, never received a response. SEUR handed this off to DPD, so multiple tracking numbers associated with 2 deliveries over the course of 10 days, making it difficult to follow what 'could have happened.' Wasted time and resources for no reason at all. This is a repeated experience with DPD. In short, it's a dreadful logistics provider that should not be in business.
Terrible
I don’t know how this company is allowed to operate in Portugal! They always delivery the worst customer experience!! Terrible! Really terrible!!!😡😡😡
I am waiting for 30 days for a parcel
I am waiting for 30 days for a parcel. I have called them 6 times and they can report the issue but I keep waiting. I have a PO box address as i live in a road without name in the country. I have asked several times for them to call me so I can give directions. On their website, when i track the parcel, it says that the parcel will be delivered on the following business day. I stayed home waiting many days...and nothing. This is actually affecting my monthly income as I needed the material i have ordered to make commissions for my clients. Unfortunately the company I order the material from, used only DPD. Such a bad experience!
Here we go again with another delivery that wont happen
Once again, if there was a 0 score I would use that
I left a review for a package not delivered last week and now I have the same problem again. A package not being delivered because in the words of the customer service agent ' we are having problems with the Faro depot'
I got a reply to the last review saying DPD were sad to here of my experience but that they were excellent. However just type into Google DPD Portugal Reviews and revel in the 1 star reviews, please note no 5 star reviews
When you contact customer service you realise you are wasting your time as they cannot or wont do anything to resovle, all they can do is 'report'
Cant talk to a manager, they will only ring you back, right that wont happen
Sellers - DO NOT USE DPD they are useless
DPD Portugal = VERY BAD SERVICE
Initially I thought the delivery was very good, nearly all delivery services, only tell you if the delivery is going to be in the made in the morning or afternoon. I was sent an email that delivery was going to be between 15:30 - 16:30. It also stated "Before delivery you will receive info that your parcel will be the next on our driver/distributor's distribution list." and "for a more secure delivery, give our driver/distributor code 1XX9, in which case you won't have to sign for it on the scanner." Great service you'd think but reality was that I left work early to be at delivery address, waited till almost 18:00 and nothing. Contacted DPD and was told item had been delivered. I informed them, I was not informed in anyway I was the next delivery to be made and nobody delivered anything. No neighbour had received anything checked site online said delivered with a "signature" Dina .
I was sent an email from them [Team front office] with a form to be filled in for a "Declaração de não recepção". In my opinion nonsense because all you fill in is the info they already have, all you should fill in is the delivery code and sign the doc., instead:
Data de expedição
(date of dispatch)
Nº de encomenda (14-dígitos)
(Parcel number(s) 14-digits)
Expedidor
(Sender)
Nome + morada do destinatário
(Receiver’s name + address)
Email do destinatário
(Receiver’s email)
Nº de telefone do destinatário
(Receiver’s phone number)
I decided to call DPD again and complain and after being harsh the PR guy I/we found out that the parcel had been left at a pickup point "Lojinha da Dina" which I had to do 4km to picked up, the next day.
PS. Disgusting how now days at the end of the calls you evaluate the PR person only and not the company's service. Thanks Trust Pilot.
Package did not arrive
Package did not arrive, driver marked it as a failed delivery attempt (claiming I was absent) even though I was here the whole time. What is the recipient supposed to do, sit on the street the whole day in case the van shows up? Drivers need to use their brain and ring the door bell or call the recipient's number. That is assuming that they even arrive at all. Customer service claim they have no way to contact the drivers. Awful service.
EDIT: after one attempt they are sending it back to the sender LOL! If only it was possible to give zero stars.
DPD is crap
This company, for some untold reason, decided on their own accord to change the terms of delivery and instead of dropping the parcel in my address, delivered it to a pick up point which I had explicitly refused as an option when placing my order with the seller company. I know petrol is expensive, but that does not excuse this company from fulfilling their services as advertised.
To make this simple and clear:
This is a company that only delivers half service while advertising it in full.
I will avoid this DPD going forward and will speak ill of it to whomever listens.
Bellow subpar!
Lies and emails
Have waited two weeks for Dpd to collect a parcel. They have arranged 7 collection dates and every time we have waited in all day and by 5 o’clock they have sent an email stating unable to deliver as customer absent. This is a total fabrication and gives a bad impression of customer. On contact they continue to lie and state they cannot contact any drivers. I wouldn’t use this company by choice at any cost. Beware, Beware, Beware….
Awfull!
Awfull!
I've sent a package on 21st of May to the UK...and today is 9 of June and isn't even left my country!
Once I paid to deliver I've asked on the phone if it needs any paperwork fill d...they said no.
And only 2 weeks after I've send the package, they mention on the phone that I needed to describe the content!
2 weeks!!!!what where you doing regarding an EXPRESS DELIVERY DURING THIS TIME????
I've phoned today and asked to return my package and a refund...let's see how many days they will take to send everything back!
One things is certainI WILL NEVER USE THIS COMPANY AGAIN TO AHIP ANYTHING!
WASTE OF TIME!
Very disappointing experience with DPD…
Very disappointing experience with DPD Portugal regarding a damage claim.
A parcel sent through DPD arrived damaged to the buyer. Since April 2026, I have repeatedly provided all requested documents: photos, proof of transaction, bank details, packaging information, etc.
Despite this:
the same documents were requested multiple times;
the case was constantly “forwarded internally”;
no final conclusion or compensation decision was ever provided;
months passed without proper resolution.
The situation caused direct financial loss in a Catawiki transaction, where my payment was suspended because of the transport damage.
Customer support replies politely, but the claim management process has been extremely slow, repetitive and ineffective.
I expected a professional investigation and a formal resolution, but the process remains unresolved after months.
Shocking service, complete package loss, and violation of national law!
I am writing this to warn everyone about the absolute lack of professionalism and illegal practices of DPD Portugal.
A parcel has been missing for nearly a month. It was supposed to be delivered to the Cascais Auchan locker, but it is completely untraceable—whether it is actually stuck inside, has been taken out, or was simply lost by the carrier remains unknown. DPD Portugal has completely ignored all customer service inquiries and has now officially violated Portuguese national law (Decreto-Lei n.º 156/2005) by failing to respond to my official complaint in the Livro de Reclamações Eletrónico within the statutory 15-business-day limit.
To make matters worse, they are acting in complete bad faith by repeatedly trying to falsely mark the case as "resolved" on public forums like Portal da Queixa just to manipulate their customer satisfaction scores and hide their failures.
They do not care about your property, they do not answer complaints, and they openly breach national regulations. The case has now been officially escalated to the national regulator (ANACOM).
Disgraceful company. Avoid DPD Portugal at all costs if you actually want your packages delivered safely!
Package damaged, physical inspection refused by carrier
DPD Portugal was the carrier for an international shipment (Tracking: 098213530441722). A high-value musical instrument arrived with severe internal structural damage due to heavy mechanical impact under their custody, despite being heavily protected in a hard case inside a double-walled box.
Not only did they mishandle the package, but they formally refused to perform a physical inspection of the item and the packaging at the destination, even though the receiver made himself completely available for it. To make matters worse, they rejected the insurance claim based purely on the fact that their own drivers did not self-report any anomalies in their internal transit log.
This is an absolutely circular and bureaucratic joke. A carrier's lack of internal logging does not erase physical reality. Formal complaints have been filed with ANACOM (the Portuguese Transport Regulator) and the European Consumer Centre. Appalling service and zero accountability.
