I am not one to write bad reviews but

I am not one to write bad reviews, but I feel I must warn others. I spent over £100 on this eco uniforms, including two pairs of trousers that cost £54. I ordered size 7-8 years, especially since my child just turned 7 and is very slim and small for his age, however, the trousers I received were labeled as 7 years and are far too small for any 7-year-old. This are for 5 years maybe.
The quality is also very disappointing; for such a high price, they don't even have a zipper and polo and jumper also very vad quality. When I contacted the company, they refused to resolve the error. They claimed the trousers shrank in the wash, which is completely untrue—they arrived too small and the size sent was not what I ordered. Instead of fixing their mistake, they told me I would have to pay for a new pair. I will never buy from here again. Be aware!

Dear Gabriela,We are very sorry to hear that you were disappointed with your order.
We would just like to clarify that the trousers sent were the correct size ordered (7–8 years). As with many children’s clothing brands, the internal garment label may display the lower end of the size range rather than the full range shown on the website.
We absolutely understand that sizing can vary from child to child, and for this reason we are always happy to accept returns and issue refunds for unworn and unwashed items.
Unfortunately, in this case the garments had already been washed before the sizing concern was raised, which meant we were unable to accept them back under our standard UK returns policy.
Our uniforms are made from high-quality GOTS-certified organic cotton without harsh anti-shrink chemical treatments or synthetic coatings, which is a conscious choice we make to keep our garments as natural and skin-friendly as possible.
We are genuinely sorry the products were not suitable for your child and appreciate all customer feedback.

Great clothes; terrible website!

I'm so pleased to have found eco options of school uniforms for my kids. The items I've ordered seem great, and I've actually re-ordered. However, the website is catastrophic. A little investment wouldn't go amiss. The website kicks you out of the sign in page several times, and I've found I have to order like a sniper to avoid everything being kicked out of the basket. It's really frustrating, and a massively important factor of e-commerce.

Questionable business

Honestly this is one of the worst companies I have ever dealt with. They claimed my package shipped. I didn’t receive it within 4 months, no proper tracking provided to me. I asked for a refund and now four months later in December 2025 they didn’t provide a refund and stopped answering all emails. They told me to take it up with credit card company, so I have just done that. This company is engaged in questionable business practices and should be shut down. Spend your money elsewhere!!!

Hi Tina,
We are sorry to read your review, and we’d like to clarify the situation for transparency.
Your order was dispatched from the UK and arrived in Canada within the normal international timeframe. According to the official tracking from Royal Mail and Canada Post, delivery was attempted and a collection notice was issued. Due to the Canada Post strike, you advised us that you chose not to collect the parcel.
As we explained multiple times in our email communication, we are only able to issue a refund once the parcel is physically returned to us by the carrier. This is standard international procedure and applies to all undelivered orders. At the time of your review, the parcel had not yet been returned to our warehouse.
We did not stop responding to you; all emails sent were answered promptly. In fact, we continued to provide tracking updates from both Royal Mail and Canada Post, and confirmed that we would refund you in full as soon as the parcel arrived back with us.
We appreciate how frustrating postal disruptions can be, especially during a strike, but these delays are outside of our control. What is in our control, issuing a refund once the goods are returned, will of course be completed immediately once the parcel is received.
Regards

Great environmental credentials but terrible durability of school trousers

I bought the 100% cotton school trousers for my son who has eczema. I felt pleased to have found 100% cotton trousers not treated with Teflon and similar but unfortunately they just don't last – especially disappointing given the cost.

The trousers looked shabby within a few weeks of my son wearing them, with a very noticeable fade around the knees.

A few weeks later, two of the three pairs I bought had holes/rips in the knees. I decided not to repair them given they already look to be on their last legs (in spite of only a couple of months of use), and reluctantly bought new trousers from M&S which seem to be much more robust.

Dear Sarah,
Thank you for taking the time to share your experience. We’re truly sorry to hear that the trousers didn’t hold up as expected, especially since your choice was driven by your son’s need for eczema-friendly clothing. We completely understand how frustrating this must have been for you.
My business partner and I started this company when our boys began primary school, so we completely understand parents' challenges when looking for safe, durable schoolwear. As a mother, I also know that no fabric is indestructible, especially when little ones spend around 35 hours per week on the carpet during floor time. That said, durability is something we take very seriously, and we are continuously working to improve our fabrics while staying true to our commitment to using only natural, non-toxic materials. While organic cotton is the safest option for sensitive skin, it is still a fabric and would tent to wear out when comes to the continuous contact with hard cerfaces. To address minor rips, we provide patches that make repairs simple.
Over the years, we have been refining our designs to enhance durability, our latest collection now features a thicker, more robust fabric, and we’re exploring further improvements. We truly appreciate your feedback, as it helps us grow and improve. Your support means a lot to us, and we hope to serve you better in the future.
Kind Regards

Extremely Poor Quality – Ripped Twice!

I purchased school trousers from EcoOutfitters, expecting good quality, but both pairs ripped within an unreasonably short time - one after just two weeks, and the second on the very first day of wear! My son has never had such issues with any other brand.

When I contacted customer service, they refused to issue a refund, blaming wear and tear instead of acknowledging the poor quality of their fabric. Given the high price, I expected durability, but these trousers have been a complete disappointment.

I strongly advise against purchasing from this company - beware of their refusal to stand by their products!

Dear Anastasia,
We’re truly sorry to hear about your disappointment and appreciate your feedback. We completely understand how frustrating it must be to have school trousers wear out sooner than expected.
At EcoOutfitters, we are committed to providing high-quality, durable clothing made from 100% organic cotton. Our trousers are designed to withstand everyday wear, but as with any fabric, they are not indestructible. Active children engage in sports, running, and other activities where falls and friction can cause wear and tear, which no material can fully prevent.
Upon reviewing the photo you provided in your email to us, the damage to the trousers appears to be a rip, or possibly even a cut, rather than a fabric failure. While we regret that your experience has not met expectations, we stand by the integrity of our products. Since founding EcoOutfitters in 2012, we have taken great pride in the quality and durability of our garments, with thousands of satisfied customers over the past 13 years.
That being said, we always strive to ensure our customers feel heard and valued. Your feedback is truly appreciated, as it helps us refine and improve our products and service.
Kind Regards

Durable well made clothes.

Durable well made clothes.

The official school uniform had been diving in quality and after looking about I came across this store.

Whilst pricey the quality and durability is out standing. Within the first week my eldest fell at speed down hill on his bike, the new school trousers tore and he was sore, but not bleeding at all.
When I took them to the tailors to be repaired they commented on the outstanding material and enquired where I purchased them from.

The only room for improvement is the website. It’s clunky and tricky to use but it’s worth the struggle.
