I've been using ESET security for many years now. I'm not very computer minded, I just know what to do, to do what I want. So using ESET has just been running in the background, and I've never had any issues with any viruses or security concerns. I don't need to know how it works, it just does. I drive a car, haven't got a clue how it all works, but it does.
Long time user.
I have been using ESET protection for several years. It works very well and has certainly saved my computer from quite a few nasty incidents. I have called technical support a couple of times and they have sorted out my problems immediately and were very polite and professional.
I highly recommend this product.
Good performance with Eset smart…
Good performance with Eset smart security and Eset mobile security. Products did not constitute a nuisance with the normal smooth running of devices and apps.

It is simple to renew one’s annual protection with ESET. It is helpful to be reminded and if one needs advice or help it has been available and constructive.

Not made for the end-consumer
It's not made for the individual. For example, there may be a HIPS/firewall asking if you want to do x or y, but it's not working well, to which Eset replies that "manual mode is not supposed to be used long-term", i.e. you're supposed to go for the corporate shill and use "auto-mode" unless there's an exception.
The same goes for other aspects of the product. For example, you can tell the product to ask for permission every time, over a certificate, over an application etc - but not in ways that would help You, the person, or you would be able to tell the app things like "do x for y minutes", instead of being opening yourself up to either a barrage of questions every single time a process relaunches, the only reasonable explanation for which is that they want it to be annoying enough to not actually use for personal control.
The app could also easily be designed for stopping the likes of Microsoft from doing their despicable business of harvesting your data and surveilling your actions (built in into default undeactivatable administrative group policies), but no, it doesn't. In fact, you are not even allowed to have application rule-filters with wildcards or general cases, only in firewall-contexts.
In short, don't expect it to be anything other than a slightly more polished version of corporate hegemony, like most other similar products. It's not made for Your safety or protection.
Reliable security
I was introduced to ESET Antivirus a few years ago by my local computer shop.
I'm aware that there are a number of free antivirus security solutions available, but I feel that I have a higher level of security with ESET and are always contactable for security advice. Having had my card details stolen last year I decided to upgrade my security this year and intend to stay with ESET for the foreseeable future.

Change over from Kasperski was easy. When I did need help it was easy to make contact by phone and speak to a real person who dealt with my problem efficiently. I also liked the 3 year discounted deal.

I have subscribed to Eset for nearly 7 years and not once have i had cause to complain
i also have had no virus or Malware issues during that time.
If im not sure how to do something re my security a quick call to a UK based call center quickly resolves any issues.
