About eSIM.net
Written by the company
eSIM.net is the premier UK eSIM store selling travel and UK domestic eSIM plans. We partner with O2, Vodafone and Three to supply their eSIM services. You can order an eSIM online and receive, install and use it instantly.
Our plans are extremely competitive, with an Unlimited Data, Voice and SMS service costing £20 per month. The plans are rolling 30 day, there is no commitment and you can cancel at any time. Unlike other eSIM stores our travel products are "full service". This means that in addition to data, they support voice calls and SMS. In addition they offer 5G service in most countries. Never get caught again not being able to book a restaurant or phone a taxi when you are travelling.

eSIMs are here to stay. Apple and other manufacturers will soon release phones that don’t support the old plastic SIM cards. Get a future proof service from eSIM.net.

Disappointing lack of transparency
We ordered EE eSIMs through esim.net expecting to receive EE directly, as advertised. However when activating them in the UK, we received text messages in Chinese and discovered the network was actually CTExcel, a Chinese EE MVNO.
This was not disclosed on the product page or during the ordering process. We deliberately chose EE because we trust the network and wanted the full, unthrottled EE experience. We did not want an MVNO, and I do not truct CTExcel.
Had this been made clear upfront, we would not have purchased these eSIMs. Customers deserve transparency about which network they are actually buying. This was a very disappointing experience, and we will not be using esim.net again.
⭐ **1 Star
⭐ **1 Star – Very Disappointing Experience**
I would strongly recommend that people think twice before using eSIM.net.
The service I purchased **never worked properly**, despite trying to get the issue resolved. What made the experience even worse was the way I was treated when I contacted customer support. I felt that my concerns were not handled properly and that I was treated very poorly as a customer.
I paid for a service that I expected to work, but unfortunately it didn't. The customer service experience made an already frustrating situation even worse.
**Based on my experience, I would not recommend eSIM.net.** I hope the company takes customer complaints more seriously and improves both its service reliability and the way customers are treated.
If the payment fails they cancel your…
If the payment fails they cancel your number with no option to reactivate. Then you need to get a new number. Lame lame lame.
I always recommend eSim to my friends…
I always recommend eSim to my friends to use when they're traveling as I've always had a great experience when traveling to european countries, and it's better in terms of cost regarding other more popular companies. Jason from eSim was handling my ticket and he was super nice!!
My connection did not work smoothly as…
My connection did not work smoothly as I landed however, I can only praise the level of service I received to make things work. After relentlessly trying to help me, I was given a refund on the 3rd day and I had to pay $6.40 to repurchase the plan the plan I initially bought. Then after 2 more attempts, everything was working! For my specific problem, it seems that the switch that decide the Network selection (Automatic) was the problem. I had to manually change that, then it offered me 3 networks to choose from. When I selected the right one in the end, it worked. Thumbs up for Steve at support!
Beware buying eSIM.net for travel from US
Be very careful with eSIM.net for travel from the US. Many (most?) phones on US cellular plans effectively lock SIM usage to exclude other service providers’ eSIMs. But you’re unlikely to discover this until trying to enable the travel eSIM. Unfortunately, eSIM.net is a money grabber that will not reimburse you for such an error, even if you contact them within an hour of tour purchase. On iPhones check Settings, General, About to see if Network Provider Lock shows ‘SIM locked’ - if so the eSIM.net service CAN’T be used.
App easy to use and setup
Easy to use and setup. I've used it both in the USA and Spain and in both instances coverage and signal strength was superb. Very competitive prices in comparison with similar companies and when I'd finished it was a simple process to cancel.
excellent customer service
Great price for 20GB in Europe
Great price for 20GB in Europe. Used O2 eSim in Czech Republic. Roaming worked well everywhere we went including Austria and Italy. Plenty of data for 3 weeks for my S26 and a Zflip connected.to hotspot. Free phone calls within each country as well. Performance and quality of phone calls was great. Best deal around, better than Saily and Jetpac. Great support as well. Quick email.response to questions. No issues at all. I highly recommend eSim.net, will use it again.
Excellent value
Excellent value, easy to use.
Being able to use the eSIM in Europe and Iceland was a great bonus
Outstanding customer support
Outstanding customer support. I made a mistake in selecting a plan. I wrote an email to customer support who answered within minutes (on a Sunday no less!) and refunded the cost of the plan so I could select the correct one. Can't ask for more than that!
Excellent 👌
Good for a one-off eSIM/ WARNING Recurring service
Good for a one-off eSIM – I wouldn’t choose the recurring option
I’ve used eSIM.net successfully and think it works well for a one-off eSIM. However, my experience of the recurring service exposed a significant weakness in its notification system.
The subscription renews every 30 days, while the data allowance resets on the 1st of each calendar month. This is disclosed when you move to a recurring plan, but customers need to understand the practical consequences of those two cycles being different.
More importantly, eSIM.net confirmed to me that they do not send:
* a reminder before an automatic renewal payment;
* a warning when you are approaching your data allowance; or
* a notification when your allowance has been exhausted.
You can check your data usage online, but eSIM.net also confirmed that this information does not update in real time.
That combination is the problem for me. With a recurring mobile-data service, I would expect to be warned that my data is running low or has run out, and to receive advance notification of an upcoming payment. Having to monitor it yourself is particularly unsatisfactory when the usage information isn’t real-time.
Their Complaints Department was prompt and courteous, and they told me they are considering a solution for data-usage notifications, which is positive.
My verdict: good for a one-off eSIM, but I wouldn’t currently recommend the recurring service.
I purchased an SMS-only eSIM
Though I experienced difficulties in connecting my eSim in the beginning, thanks to the professional support from their customer care and technical support I did manage to connect it. Thank you!
I’ve had a disappointing experience…
I’ve had a disappointing experience with eSIM.net. I’ve been paying to keep a UK number active, but I receive spam/scam calls from different UK numbers almost every day.
I contacted customer support and was told that UK operators recycle numbers and that I should simply block the calls. That isn’t really a solution when the calls come from different numbers each time, and silencing unknown callers could also mean missing legitimate calls.
Customer service were polite, but unfortunately not very helpful, and I don’t feel the service has been worth the money.
Very happy with eSIM.net
Very happy with eSIM.net. Professional, helpful and friendly service. They care about their customers and are willing to help when needed. I really appreciate their approach and would definitely use their services again in the future.
👍
Plan with EU data roaming
I used plan with EU data roaming. No issues at all. 5min after I got signal in EU internet was active. I visited 6 countries. Excellent bandwidth everywhere. Of course, in cities it is better than in some rural areas, but it is normal, like in any other network. Definitely worth and my first choice next time.
Amazing product
Amazing product! Very easy to install! Very fast connection in France & Spain. Will definitely keep using Esim.net during my trips.

Excellent communication if you face any issues
eSIM. net not working in US as per their instructions.
I bought an eSIM from Australia to be used in USA. It cost me AUD 19 for a 10 Day US Package boasting 10GB. I managed to successfully activate the eSIM on my Samsung G S22 Ultra using the QR code. It was set up correctly, but not activated. After arriving in the US I tried to activate the eSIM. It failed to connect. After a few emails with the eSIM customer support I got some advice which did not work well. However, I applied the correct Roaming settings which actually activated the SIM connecting to Verizon Wireleas. After a Speed Test, I noted a very slow speed DL 0.94 Mbps/ UL 2.51 Mbps. I sent a screenshot to eSIM customer support but it did not help. eSIM operates under a roaming arrangement with Hutchison Hong Kong. I bought another SIM at the LA Airport which cost about USD 88 for 30GB and unlimited US calls for 30 days. This SIM worked as expected. Please do not buy from eSIM. net to be used in the US as the roaming arrangement looks dodgy.
I lost AUD 19 for this dodgy provider who refused give me a refund for their technical short comings.
