Their products are supposed to be…

Their products are supposed to be great, that is, *IF* they work out of the box AND *IF* customer support can pull their finger out.

"We bought a CSL DD wheelbase and a CSL steering wheel GT3 for my sons birthday to use on his xbox (their configurator specified they were compatible) and we can't get the wheelbase to talk to his Xbox (let alone combined with the wheel). Furthermore, neither are found by the Fanatec App -- even after successfully doing a clean install and a bootloader update."

That ticket was lodged on 5th may (12 working days ago) and while I've had responses -- it takes about 48 hours for them to respond -- not only has no solution been found, but they keep recommending fixes that either have already been attempted -- or aren't relevant!

--- update -- finally (26 May) got a competent Customer Service Rep (Yusuke) who provided clear and detailed instructions to fix the problem. Thank you. Short answer -- their live app has a known bug that was causing the issue and had to remove it from everywhere and install an old version and all good. Why they keep the buggy one live is beyond me.

I’m extremely disappointed with my…

I’m extremely disappointed with my experience with Fanatec. After successfully ordering racing bundles from them five different times in the past, my latest order was suddenly rejected without any clear explanation, and they immediately issued a refund even though the product was still shown as available on their official website.

What makes this situation even worse is that their support suggested I should purchase the same product from Amazon or third-party retailers instead — at a significantly higher price. This is completely unacceptable. If the item is available on their own store, loyal customers should be able to buy it directly at the listed price, not be pushed toward more expensive external sellers.

As a returning customer, I expected professionalism, transparency, and at least some respect for customer loyalty. Instead, I received poor communication, inconsistent sales policies, and a frustrating experience that wasted my time.

Very disappointing customer service and a terrible way to treat repeat customers. I honestly expected much better from a company with Fanatec’s reputation.

53% update problem

Hallo there. I have solved my little problem with software update thanks to your kind agent Juan Martin.
He apparently was doing his best to help me.
I'd like to one thing thou about software update update itself- Not every sim racer is a computer genious. Some of us are as old AF..:) I mean that software update must be as easy as one click and it is done, am i right?
Also, I personaly only use my sim setup with PS5 (playing games). It would feel so great to be able to update via PS5 without necessity to own a PC.
Otherwise i must say that ALL Fanatec products are great- top quality. I'm looking forward to upgrade (and update) them even more.

Bought a Fanatec DD Pro via Amazon in December…

Bought a Fanatec DD Pro via Amazon in December 2025, all has been ok so far until the wheel decided to pack up. No LED's on the wheel, no screen on the wheel working, just total failure. Updated all drivers vis the Fanatec app on my laptop, borrowed a friends McLaren wheel to test if the base is ok, everything worked for a week then the accelerator would stick on and loss of gear changes via the paddles. 4 emails deep into asking Fanatec to sort the issue and tell me how to return the package for repair or replacement and their customer support is woeful :-(

Fanatec if your reading this I am VERY unhappy with your customer service. Please respond to my ticket (2008968651) so I can get a replacement and get back to enjoying the experience I first had when initially purchased

Reliable

Reliable, the hardware has never let me down so far. It was briefly out of commission due to an error of my own making, but support was quick to respond and offered assistance. Following the acquisition by Corsair, things seem to be looking up for Fanatec. A fully deserved 5 stars.

Disappointed

The product is really good, but I was waiting all week for my fanatec wheelbase to arrive, and on the day that I should've gotten the base we get a message that the base was sent to cork which is on the other side of Ireland from where I live

Lack of Customer service

I have been a customer for many years and bought a lot of products including 2 sets of pedals 5 wheels and just. Ought my 3rd wheelbase.
Have been mostly delighted with the products until recently when my new wheelbase broke down and I found the the customer service or lack of appalling.
I contacted them and had no response for two days and eventually got a response after criticising them on social media.
From start to finish it took nearly 4 weeks to get a replacement

Fanatec Customer Support - Fanatec changes big time!

I had a weird problem with one of my pedals and contacted the support via the chat ot on the website and one of the support staff (Mario) got back to me pretty quick.

He listened to me explaining my problem and had several different option to approach it, so we went for the easiest first. Unfortunaly it didnt work and made it some even worse but he had another (and final) option right away and helped me through the RMA process and was incredible nice, patient and understood the technicalitys behind it.
By the way: my warranty did run out last year but that didnt change anything!

I REALLY have to say the support came a long way since years ago where i ordered my Setup. I remember long waiting times on support, shipping took ages and items werent available eventhough you could buy them on the website and it said "in stock".

All in all, i'm truly grateful for this awesome experience allthough it would be better if it wouldnt have happend of course but things (no matter what) will fail eventually.
I can honestly say Fanatec has awesome products, customer service and do way better than a couple years ago!
