Warning: Bait-and-Switch Scam – Stay Away from Getaway Dealz!

Do NOT fall for the “promotion” rates offered by Getaway Dealz. This company is running a complete bait-and-switch scam. Over the phone, they ask you a series of qualifying questions, and if you meet their criteria, they confirm your booking at a discounted rate. Sounds legit, right? WRONG.

Once you arrive at the resort, they make you fill out ANOTHER questionnaire—and if any of your answers don’t match what you said over the phone, they immediately disqualify you and force you to pay the full price, which in my case was $500.

This is AFTER they had already approved my eligibility over the phone and accepted my payment. They conveniently fail to mention that you’ll need to show proof of income at check-in, and they wait until you’re there in person—on vacation—to drop this bombshell.

When I called corporate to explain the situation, I was shocked to be called a liar. There was zero accountability. No one was willing to take responsibility, and I was left paying the full price for a trip I booked under false pretenses.

This company does NOT honor their word, their fine print is misleading, and their customer service is beyond unprofessional. Save yourself the frustration, money, and disrespect—do NOT book with Getaway Dealz.

I want to leave this review for you because of 3 days vacation I passed in your hotel you forced me and layed me to buy a timeshare now i already paid 37000 dollars to avoid you mess my credit as you already did . I hope one day USA president or the Senate can touch this point with guys . It’s not fair stollen the people like that .

Each person I talked with were courteous and detailed.

They told us we were pre approved over the phone for a timeshare presentation to get a room at a reduced rate once there they told us we weren't approved and charged us a fine for not going to the timeshare. We ended up still getting the room at a reduced rate but had to pay a 275$ fee

My name is Adriana and my problem is not with getawaydealz as a whole it was the rep that I spoke with ….he seemed to get irritated because I was asking questions and couldn’t hear him clearly.Its my sons birthday and myself alongside other family members were going to travel to Myrtle beach for their $59 special. The customer rep was getting irritated and wanted to rush through without me asking questions. He proceeds to hang up not call back and block me from being able to go away for the weekend when I tried calling back it said I didn’t qualify but I meet the age requirements….smh he did it on purpose. He didn’t like that he didn’t have the answers or couldn’t get me to just agree and hand over all my info…. I was willing to sit through the 90 min session and possibly buy into the timeshare…our weekend is ruined! I wish blessings to you customer rep whatever you may be going through please don’t take it out on the rest when we ALL have a little something going on. Prayers to you🙏🏽 Also I couldn’t find a number to speak with a supervisor due to this.

The Getaway travel offer was great. Customer service walked us through the process. Looking forward to the trip.

Nice hotel stay but the resort tour required was supposed to be 90 mins ended up being a little over 4 hours
