Not the best place to stay

Not the best place to stay , even for the price.
No light in the hall , dangerous missing carpet on the stairs , front door open to anybody...no security. Had to plug the kettle on the floor to boil because no other plug available and had to fill the kettle up in the shared bathroom sink .
Nowhere to put clothes or towels apart from the floor when you have a shower and the floor wasn't clean at all.
The walls are so thin we heard everything from next room including Saturday night sex session which woke me up !
Woke up with bites on my legs.
They've done it on the cheap and it shows.
Wouldn't recommend this place at all.

Amazing Guest House, Whitby

A 4 night stay in a guest house called The Waverley in Whitby was amazing. There was plenty of parking outside for which you do need permits which are provided on arrival. Our room was lovely and clean and we also had a view of the Abbey. It is run by a lovely couple who could do no more for you. The breakfast was phenomenal and very good quality sourced from local providers. The service was impeccable and very friendly throughout our stay and also insightful into the local area. They are a short walk from the shops etc and we will certainly be going back when in the area.

Minnies Rooms, Dunvegan, Isle of Skye.

We booked online 'Minnies Rooms Guesthouse' in Dunvegan, Isle of Skye for one night and paid £92..On arrival we were very disappointed and disillusioned with the photos shown online. The photos were taken 5 years previously. No dining room (as seen in the photos). Breakfast on a trolley delivered to the bedroom. Very rundown and not maintained..A rip-off. Should not be on the internet. Keep away from this place..

Worst host ever! And I work away from home staying in digs every week so that’s a big claim!!
Arrived Monday to no electricity the owner knew before our arrival as the neighbours informed me. Took over 24 hours to sort out then no bedding on any bed, any infestation in the kitchen chairs were broke. Landlord said he would reimburse for Monday but then refused to reply and when I mentioned the problems again refused to reply!!

Stay away from this place!

DO NOT REBT FROM THIS EXTREMELY UNPROFESSIONAL LYING HOTEL.

I WAS A HOTEL MANAGER AND THERE TREATMENT AND RESPONSE TO COMPLAINTS OS THE WORST I HAVE EVER SEEN.

The worst customer service and hotel I have ever had and I have stayed in hotels in almost all 50 states.

Went for a wedding booked two rooms for 3 nights. 8 rooms total for the wedding. Room never cleaned, no new towels. Rudest customer service ever. Trying to say good by in the lobby to all people who rented rooms and were leaving that we have not seen in years from different states. No other guest around. Front desk so rude, made everybody uncomfortable and leave cause housekeeping needed to vacuum.

The mother and father of the bride requested late check out...."we don't do that."

one of the first rooms to get house keeping knocked on were the Bride and Groom who were still sleeping.

Give me a break. How rude and horrible can a hotel staff be.

Would recommend staying in your car over paying rudeness at this very unprofessional establishment.

Part# 2
Went to take a hottub with just me and my 3 adult kids. Hot tub is outside and it is freezing. The gate is locked. we look around see a bunch of other gates and my kids start checking them no signs anywhere, exit ,entrances ,nothing blocked. I go in to ask the same rude front desk clerk from earlier to unlock the hot tub. She comes out at the same time my son finds one of the gates that opens and when he does it falls of hinge and won't close RUDE front desk clerk offers in no way to help but proceeds to belittle and insult my adult son. I tell her there is no need to belittle and be rude to guests. She tells me she will be charging our room for damages.

Then she sends out some housekeeping staff to put yellow caution tape in front of the broke. door.

We have to stay another night. Thus hitel is anythibg but guest friendly. When you call and try to get help from any of their numbers they tell you to email guest relations.

I have always loved red lions and actually look for them but this hotel and our experience will make me Seco d and triple think everyone from here on out.

DO NOT STAY AT THIS HOTEL!

Update#2 Since my family has written reviews an employee or friend had posted a review praising this hotel and how sound proof this hotel it. NO! you can hear everything in the halls. people talking in completely normal voices.

Woman in picture is the same woman that works at the front desk that has been rude all day.

Hotel and continues to rate it self a 5 with new profiles by Ann Courntey, Courtney Ann. She works there and is horrible. They have done othibg to make things right and continue to lie.

Attached is the only response the groom as gotten. They continue to lie. There were not 15 people in one room and the bride and groom Nd my own room were the rooms right next to and near the alleged nightmare of a party.

I have never seen this type of unprofessionalism be tolerated and defended by a company and their parent company Red Lion. They say they party broke into the hot tub....I went and asked for it to be opened because the front desk didn't do their job and have it opened like it was supposed to be.

Thus hotel and the management_ owners are pathetic .

The better business borough will be contacted next.

Be cautious when booking

Customer service takes ages to reply. Phone number provided by booking.com doesn't work, emails are not replied. I managed to find an alternative contact number but nobody is picking up (I tried 20x). One day before check-in they managed to reply with excuses - apartment is not available, current guest extended the stay...alternative apartment not available, tenant got covid. In the end we had no choice than find last minute hotel somewhere else. Really stressful experience!

Be cautious not fooled

The advertisement was not what was provided, don't be fooled by the pictures of the flat as it is not what is delivered.
The location is not what is stated, 10 to 15 minute walk to location stated, should not be allowed to advertise this way as it is false and misleading.

WE DID NOT LOSE OUR WAY WE WERE FOOLED BY MISLEADING ADVERTISING AND WE CONTACTED DIRECT ON SEVERAL OCCASIONS

Excellent Location for…

Excellent Location for travellers/tourists because it is walking distance from a food market. It is a great choice place,very accessible to other places cause it was close to Singapore's main attractions. The room was clean and the staff was nice. Thank you. The next time I will visit Singapore, I will surely choose again this place to stay. I love this place.

ants everywhere

The room is decent and location was okay too. However, the house is filled with ants. We cant even leave a covered food on the dining table as the ants would get to it. I leave a close tied cookies in my luggage and place the luggage on the bed and ants actually managed to get in my luggage from the bed as well. The ac was leaking in one of the rooms as well. I actually would not come back and stay here again.

however in Singapore our weather are rather humid and it would be more prone for ants if you did not clear bits of cookies that are dropped on the floor too.

you may also need to close your bedrooms door while the aircon are switched on, humid could lead to condensed which result to leaking. Our aircon are checked regularly and it should not giving problem.

We hope we don't lose you over ants, do contact us in future and we may have new renovated service apartment to offer you :)

A week in Singapore

The apartment was small - bedrooms and living room - compared to Australia-but clean. We knew it was going to be small. The shower and aircon were great. We didn’t cook there but it seemed to have most things- no wine glasses. The person who showed us is to the room was fine and showed us everything. We stayed there with 2 older teenagers and it was tight. One of the beds could be much more comfortable. Fantastic location though. Across the road from Lau Pa Sat food market. Close to Marina Bay and places to eat a drink.

Check in and deposit

Check in was not really smooth as we were asked to wait/meet at the McDonald stall nearby. No late check out was available.

I was asked for deposit by using card and it is already 10 days after my checked out, i still haven't received my refund due to bank processing took longer.It is better, the deposit is in terms of cash so it can be refund directly during check out.

Fantastic location but beds could be…

Fantastic location but beds could be more comfortable. The apartment was perfectly located in the central business district and across the road from Lau Pa Sat. The hosts greeted us warmly and ensured my family was checked in well before leaving us to enjoy the accomodation.
