Superb service with great food and space
Hackney Pirates is a wonderful children's charity, creating innovative and exciting workshops for school children to assist with learning and behaviourial difficulties.
Their attached cafe offers a good selection of delicious sandwiches featuring locally made bread, salads & pastries with in-house cookies made every day. There are plenty of vegetarian and vegan options. The Mission coffee used there is particularly standout; our office love it so much that we purchase the beans from Hackney Pirates to make for all our clients.
The place is always clean, if sometimes overrun with children owing to the small size of the site, and its decor is amazing: the interior is a bespoke made pirate ship! It's quirky decorations with additional interesting gifts available for purchase make this worth your while for popping in.
Aside from the main thrust of what Hackney Pirates offer, it is also an excellent place for meeting/space hire. We have used it on a couple of ocassions for both informal and formal agendas and found the level of service to be extremely good and affordable, with catering options always available to suit our needs.
