Booked and paid in full for appointment
For them to call me today (day of appointment) to cancel and tell me the doctor has gone off sick. And that i can request a refund but will take 7 working days to go back into my account
I made an appointment with this company…
I made an appointment with this company to have my ear’s micro suctioned. I turned up and waited for over 30minutes. Then another lady arrived for her appointment. I asked how long my appointment would be as i had another work appointment. The worker came out and said she didn’t know i was waiting and she couldn’t do my ears as this lady had booked her appointment first. Terrible service, never again
If you value your hearing, avoid this company
I have been left with constant, permanent, severe, high-pitched tinnitus following a microsuction procedure with this company. I did not have this prior to the procedure. In addition, it has worsened my hearing. My ears are now damaged for life. There is no comeback or reversal, and they take no responsibility. Avoid.
What an absolute rip off
What an absolute rip off. They charges £60 plus extra for sll the sprays but when there’s nothing to remove they take your money. Unbelievable . All they needed to do was recommend a nurse check your ears before booking to determine the need. Do not use
Highly recommend Stephanie in Pinner
Appointment with Stephanie in Pinner was straightforward, I felt very comfortable and thought the process was more professional than going to a doctors surgery, and without any waiting Thanks so much - highly recommend and worth the extra travel time to get there
Very satisfied
No waiting, straight into the consultation room.
Jason the practitioner explained everything up front and kept me informed during the procedure. Out 15 minutes later and now I can hear perfectly again, very pleased.
Great service in Barnet
Great service in Barnet. Friendly, efficient, prompt and good value. Would recommend.
No aftercare whatsoever!
Booked my mother - in -law an appointment online as she was really having problems with both ears.
All seemed well (apart from the fact there was no reception, nothing. Just waiting in an empty space for someone to appear) and was told to come back if she had any more problems.
Well, this is where it goes a bit odd. Phoned the number and an american woman told me there was no staff available and it would be March before they had another appointment.
Asked where the other nearest clinic was and was told Oxfordshire, we live in Bury, Lancashire.
Really do have my suspicions now about this outfit, especially reading all the other reviews.
The only reason we went there was because we couldn't get in anywhere else before the weekend.
Experienced friendly practitioner
The appointment was on time. It was at Melcombe Street. The practitioner was experienced and was exceptionally good. I have been before and have always been happy with the service.
Walked in pouring rain for 30 minutes and no one showed up!
Walked a 30 minute round trip in torrential rain, and stood outside the front door for 10 minutes just to find out there was no one there as the doctor had gone on holiday. No one had bothered to tell me this despite the fact I had an appointment booked for that day. Won’t be going back!
Atrocious Customer Service
I enquired by WhatsApp last Wednesday on a price for audiology services. The response merely requested my postcode. I provided this but heard nothing further. I followed up with another enquiry next day. Again, radio silence. Several days later I visited its Mill Hill premises but nobody was available. I then messaged Mary (the audiologist) requesting a call back. She did not. I then called again - this time she blocked my number. I have also tried to approach the company by email Hearing First but it did not respond either. I would not recommend this outfit to anybody.
Do not use
Do not use. There’s something shady about this company. The booking system was eccentric and asked me to go through 3 year old covid disclaimers. I went along and my experience with the woman who conducted the procedure, wax removal, was good. She explained it all perfectly and was very helpful. I did however, ask if I could have a refund as only 1 side needed doing. She asked her boss to call and when he did he was awful. He flatly refused and said I should have read the small print and his boss, the owner, was not available othe than via email. It isn’t the money, it’s the level of service. I feel sorry for the woman who did the procedure because the company she works for do not deliver comparable customer service.
Went late Friday afternoon 16.05 pm
Went late Friday afternoon 16.05 pm, this was there last appointment at the Ian gow centre in Eastbourne. I had been soaking the wax with olive oil for five days as had been to see the nurse at our doctors surgery on Monday. However when I got up on Friday morning I was completely deaf in my left ear, so I booked an appointment with hearing first Friday afternoon as couldn't handle being deaf. The lady I saw had to come back to the centre as she thought she had finished for the day ant told me she was on holiday next week. She started the microsuction and straightway said the wax was hard, she kept poking around which was quite painful with rhenium she said she couldn't do any more and finished the appointment. I am now still deaf in my left ear and think I have the beginning of an ear infection. I can't believe she just finished the appointment without finishing the job. I am now in serious pain on a bank holiday weekend when I can't talk to a doctor and get any antibiotic drops. I would avoid this company.
Quick efficient service at Didcot…
Quick efficient service at the Didcot/Harwell campus clinic with Jonathan Potter. Even let me know when he was running a little late. Would recommend.
Rip off
They charge you upfront whether you have wax or not, so when I was told there was no wax to remove, I had paid £58 for a 2 minute appointment!
I appreciate you are booking time with the therapist but there must be a fair way to issue a partial refund if you don't actually need the procedure? We are not able to assess ourselves if we need it before we get there!
Never again using this company.
I can hear again!
This review is for the Rickmansworth branch. Jason was meticulous in his work with my ears which are not 'standard'. Thanks again Jason.
This would have been a 5 star review had I not had to wait outside in the cold. The door entry system needs to be sorted out.
Expensive for Procedure Carried Out
Whilst Jonathan was very polite he was late so that was rather frustrating as I was running on a time schedule.
He did not find any notable wax in either of my ears The appointment only lasted for less than 10 minutes. It would have been appreciated if after seeing little to no wax in my ears he could have perhaps offered a partial refund for this shortened appointment, particularly considering the situtation we are all in with the cost of living.
As I said, other than being late, Jonathan did try and help by suggesting that I book a hearing test with Boots to see if they can help with the problems that I am having.
Micro suction for earwax, Eastbourne
Just booked in to this service, which is new to my area. I was able to get an appointment for today. The service was excellent, I had micro suction to both ears.
You have to book online and currently there is a good discount, only cost me £59. A competitive rate.
Katherine, who did my ears explained the procedure clearly and the whole process was completed in 20 minutes.
I will definitely be using this service again in the future and have recommended it to my GP surgery who no longer provide ear syringing.
price cheater
wanted to book for micro-suction. huge discount saying on pop up window , you pay £55 !! - okey i said, lets book it. clicked on booking and the price just went up to 65. i did not even dare to continue. how knows what will be the price if i click further. good old -unethical- sales trick. no thank you.
