I have the lifetime 10Tb. I'm happy with this. Only the disconnection and dismount of the drive on my computer from time to time is not so nice. The Up and download speed is faster than Onedrive.

I have been using icedrive for over a…

I have been using icedrive for over a year. It is the best cloud file storage because 1) works fast with no downtime 2) has end to end encryption out of the box 3) has lifetime plans.

Rapid and easy to use cloud based file…

Rapid and easy to use cloud based file management. WebDav, SFTP, S3 maybe can be implemented in the future for ease of transfer ?
Not able to use this with my foreign clients, since the app is not translated in 5 most used languages in the world. (Mandarin, French, Spanish, Portuguese, Arabian). Why not make a crowd translation ? There is Glotpress for that, simple and let people translate as they best understand.

I am very satisfied with Icedrive

I am very satisfied with Icedrive. It gives huge storage-space for (when I compared all the companies) the lowest costs. I use Icedrive for regularly making a backup of all my data-files. It always works perfectly. And when on vacation I can always access all my files.

Sync and Data Issues

garbage product. If for whatever reason it stops working it will not sync any new files that have been created between the time of shutdown and when you start it up again. Also had other sync issues with errors codes that are useless. Technical support asked for the log which is massive and also contains very confidential information. If you worries about data security stay away from this product.

Unresolved webdav issues

Good for long term storage but issues with integration via WebDav that is throttled and limits its use for 3rd party syncing / media playback

They don't update their software ever

They don't update their software ever! Files fail when being upload through the app. Uploads and downloads take forever and then timeout. I have tried multiple configurations for over a year. Bad customer support. Great price but useless as the software is not good and customer support doesn't fix issues.

Unreliable Sync and Disappointing Support

I initially thought that the one-time payment offered by this service was a great deal, so I paid quite a substantial amount upfront. At first, it did the job as I didn’t have much data to back up, but as my business grew, so did the amount of data I needed to back up for my clients, and the security of my business started relying on this service.

However, things started to go downhill when I tried to access some of my backup data, only to find that certain folders, which had been marked as synced, were empty. I reached out to customer support, and they suggested the only solution was to remove and re-sync the pair. This seemed to partially fix the problem, but it didn’t fully resolve it. It was clear that this isn’t a reliable or reassuring solution.

What really made matters worse was that after this interaction, I received no further updates or meaningful support. When I reached out again, I proposed a solution: implementing a monitoring and scanning system, along with an option for manual scanning and syncing of pairs. Their response was shocking — they told me they couldn’t help because they don’t have access to my files! What’s truly baffling is that this has nothing to do with the synchronization issue I was experiencing. I didn’t need them to access my files; I just needed them to fix the data loss during synchronization!

I followed up once more, but once again, I received no response. This lack of accountability and customer support is incredibly frustrating. At this point, I feel compelled to share my experience here, as I’m unsure whether I can trust them to safely store my clients' critical data.

In short, the service started off fine, but as soon as I faced a real issue, the support was non-existent. I would advise others to look elsewhere if reliable backup and customer support are a priority for your business.

My IT staff encouraged me to switch to…

My IT staff encouraged me to switch to another cloud provider because security flaws have apparently been brought to IceDrive's attention but the company has not elected to pursue fixing them. Some other cloud solutions are more expensive, but their procedures and policies are secure.

no full or manual sync

no full sync, need client active 24/7, changes made during client closed are lost forever! no manual sync either!

I do have the latest version and icemon is running! When i execute the icedrive app and resume/pause the syncs, no files are being transferred, ever! Modified and new files inside my sync folders, stay safely in my local hard drive....

Do the job

I bought it because of the price and I can say that it is quite intuitive. The speed to download and access to documents is for me very good and the helpdesk is reactive.

But, the management of files is not very user friendly : you don't have always a preview, you have to download it etc. This waste of time is difficult to understand. Also, I didn't find a way to be informed of the updates. Still room for improvements.

Works well

Works well, but sometimes the Desktop app crashes without reasons, and there are issues when you copy an ISO file in the crypted folder. For the rest the service is very good.
