Criminally Poor Deposit Return Process

UPDATE1 30/01/25
As of todays date I have still yet to receive any of my deposit. Especially after reaching out to the contacts that JNP has left in this reply.

After contacting JNP again, there seems to be an issue with their process and certain people within the business who action them. I would like to thank Sam and Chloe for talking the time to look into this matter regarding my deposit.

UPDATE3 30/01/25
Funds have been received.

I would not recommend JNP Lettings due to their unacceptable handling of my tenancy deposit return, despite on-time payments and no issues from my tenancy.

I moved out of the property in December 2024, and despite the legal requirement to return the deposit within 10 days, I am still waiting over 4 weeks later!!

Best Team Ever!!!

Best Team Ever!!!

The Team at JNP HW are absolutely amazing!!! They responded to every single message. I have to say Jan & Lisa was absolutely super. Jan was so kind and so patient, getting a place is not easy with all the variables that have to be manged, however Jan navigated these challenges with grace and ease and played a pivotal role in making sure i got my keys, i can not thank you enough you will forever be remembered and have a place in my heart. Thank you!!!! Thank you!!!! Thank you!!!!

read the other 1 star reviews - pretty much my experience. Not entirely clear whether the issue is incompetence or if their shocking service to tenants (both for maintenance, and for end of tenancy deposit refund) is intentional.

House Move

Selling my property in Sands was a lot easier to do thanks to JNP , upon agreeing a sale price we had a lot of interest early on and was able to agree a fair selling price through good lines of communication from the High Wycombe office staff- Lisa kept me fully updated with progression also which helped ease the stress and worry you have when selling your property and we was able to complete last Friday with very little fuss.

Crooks

Crooks. As others have said - be prepared to go to court or at least DPS. Landlord tried to reclaim an unreasonable amount of the deposit (almost all of it) due to damages that were the landlord's responsibility and blemishes that were already present upon the start of the tenancy. Throughout, JNP were unhelpful - very rarely responding to reported damage. I would constantly have to chase JNP to get anything done. Be particularly cautious renting from JNP in High Wycombe. They backed up the landlord to the end (who is a known criminal). Luckily DPS are ethical and I got almost my entire deposit back. I would not recommend anyone to rent with JNP in High Wycombe, or to rent any properly owned by Ludlow Land, or the building Liverpool Victoria House. Extremely unethical practice, relying on beaten down and tired tenants to not fight their ridiculous claims.

My partner and I bought a house from…

My partner and I bought a house from JNP and also sold our flat and I must say I have had the best experience. The process was seemless. Janet and Lisa have been amazing throughout the whole process, keeping me update to date with everything and even when we came across some issues they were very hands on to ensure that we got our dream home. We have now completed and I would definitely use them again

Crooks

Liars, crooks, lazy con artists
They pumped up the price when there was no other bids,
They lied about the length of the flat lease (admitted it to me over the phone), when i asked their solicitors who i also employed to renegotiate) (I Know, I Know) they became hard to reach by email or phone... then a couple months down the line, they admitted they deliberately hadnt followed my instructions because they were happy... they are a disgrace, just want your money and they dont give a damn. Soulless greedy moneyhounds, cold hearted & don't give a monkeys. Date is approx a month- 6 weeks ago

I can honestly say the worst customer…

I can honestly say the worst customer service I have ever experienced. I have been a Lettings client of the High Wycombe branch for about four years and have noticed a massive decline in service levels over the time. The communication is diabolical and they overcharge you either due to basic errors or hoping you won’t find out. Probably the worst part is they haven’t even responded to a direct complaint email for almost 2 weeks. I would stay clear of this business if you can help it.
