UNSAFE and Overpriced - Not Recommended

I highly DO NOT recommend them for the following reasons:

1. Safety Concerns: The car provided by the company was unsafe. I found a crack on the front windshield, right in the driver's line of sight. This was not only disturbing but also posed a serious safety risk. I expected such critical damages to be fixed promptly or the car blocked from usage until repairs were made. The fact that they allowed the car to be rented in this condition shows a lack of concern for customer safety. I rented the automatic car and they have only one in Odense. So I did not had the possibility to call to the emergency number and get an alternate car. Usually, that is not a feasible option when you reach to pick the car just few minutes before your ride.

2. Higher Prices: I found their rental rates to be significantly more expensive than other conventional car rental companies. I had flex membership. For instance, I was charged 2135 DKK for a 2-day rental with a limit of 500 km, while another reputable company offered the same service for just 1835 DKK, including fuel. The price with other rental company was the first time price and without any membership. Other companies are offering 5-10% discounts in subsequent rides. The price difference was quite substantial.

3. Poor Car Quality: The overall quality of the car I rented was disappointing. I noticed several damages that had clearly been neglected for months without any attempts at repairs.

4. Regrettable Membership: I regret wasting my money on my membership. I could have not been a member and used that money for another trips with a good and responsible car company.

Thanks for ringing to me to discuss about it. Our discussion confirms that it is LetsGo and we talked about the car that I rented in June 2023.

Dear Venkatesh,
Sorry to hear that you are not satisfied with our service in Odense.
1) The normal procedure when you experience a car that you don’t feel confident to drive is to contact our emergency phone. They will then help you to another car. You choose not to do so and this is your choice. I am sorry to hear that there was a crack in the windshield. We don’t have the possibility to check the cars after each reservation, so if the crack came in the prior reservation the best option is to get another car.
2) When you compare prices, you have to take all in account. With LetsGo you can reserve a car pr hour and with 0 kr. deductible insurance. The two reservations you have made at LetsGo have only been for a few hours. If you should have rented a car for this time at a rental company, it would have been more expensive and not so easy as when you just pick up a LetsGo car from the street. You had the Flex membership, where the dayrental is more expensive. Had you chosen a Plus membership you could have a two days reservation for 960 DKK.
3) I sorry to hear that you find the car you have rented in poor condition. The car is only 2 years old. At your first reservation it only have some scratches (cosmetic damages). The cosmetic damages are only repaired when the car is taken to service.
4) Yes, it seems like you are better off using another service. Hope you will get a better experience there.

Best regards
Christian/LetsGo

Easy car sharing

Live on Osterbro and have used Letsgo since I moved to Cph 8 years ago. Such an easy way to use a car in the city. Always nice and tidy cars and no need to think about service, maintenance and each car has a dedicated parking space(probably the most important perk as there is no parking to be found after 7pm where we live)

Poor customer experience

The cars do the trick and you can usually count on finding a car close to you. However, the company either has a poor understanding of the customer experience it provides, or simply does not care. A few examples:

1. The pricing setup is extremely complicated, and makes it nearly impossible to have any idea of how much you will pay. You need to pay 1) one monthly fee, 2) one booking fee, 3) the hourly fee for using the car, and now recently announced.... 4) an extra fee per km driven! That is at least 4 fees to consider as a minimum, while most competitors show you upfront a total to be paid per rental. On top of that, you are charged a flat fee of 200kr for late returns, even if you are late for a couple of minutes.

2. There is no app, and the website booking workflow is time consuming and complicated. Expect approx. 5-10 mins of navigation before you can place a booking.

3. There are lots of tiny issues with its customer service. For example, after you sign up, you are supposed to receive a key. After more than 2 weeks waiting for it to arrive, I decided to check with them. It turns out that if you leave outside of central Copenhagen, the company mails you the key. But if you leave within the surroundings of the city centre... you have to go pick up the key by yourself to their office. How does this make sense, is outside of my comprehension.

In summary, it seems like a well intended concept but its poor customer experience brings it down.

Dear Frederico,
I’m sorry to read about your experience with LetsGo. This is not the feedback we normally usually get from our member.
We send the key by Post Nord with Qvick letter, and it do not take more than 4-5 days at the most. So you have been really unlucky.
We have a web app, and it can se you position, if you accept this. Apparently, you have not allowed this in your settings. If you change your settings, it is very easy to place your booking at the web app app.letsgo.dk
About the pricing. Yes, there are two categories. All members must pay a monthly membership fee to book the cars. We have this because we then can estimate the car fleet and guaranty a car when the members need a car.
When you use a car you play for the hours/days you need the car and from 1.3.22 DKK 1, - pr. km you drive.
There is a booking fee.
If you return the car late there is a fee of DKK 200, -. Our service relies on our members returning the cars within the time they have reserved. If a car is not returned before the reservation ends it might give the next user an unpleasant experience and our customer service will start to help the member to find another vacant car.
Hope this helps you to understand our service. If not and you would like to terminate your membership please write to letsgo@letsgo.dk

Easy to book and to use.

Easy to book and to use.
And compared to other car sharing services (which might seem cheaper in some circumstances), it is a no-profit, so their goal is clearly to make car sharing in DK even more widespread
