Horrendous website UX

I cannot imagine more putrid website UX in 2024. Menu is unintuitive, took quite a bit of time to find my collection. Creating a collection was a hurdle in itself, as site is constantly glitching, collections not getting created or getting duplicated. While creating NFT i confirm it with my wallet, it just keeps loading forever and nothing is ever created. This is on mobile, maybe I'll try PC version, but I have little hope left.

customer service is a joke

My account got locked a few weeks ago without explanation. So I tried talking to customer support. They told me something about sanctions which made no sense since I am in Portugal.

No further communication. They just ignore replies and new contact attempts. The company used to be great. Now they just steal whataver you have and ditch you.

Scum

They texted me after saying they did a “roofing summary”
They are scum!
How could they possibly do that w/o actually going on my roof?
If they did, without my knowledge or permission, they should be arrested

A company with no brain

There are things that are always broken and never seems to work correctly. Bugs that are there for more than 3 years still have not been fixed. Then they added in rarity rank, which is the dumbest thing any company can think off. Notice why people aren't buying, and collections keep dying? Because the rarity ranking tells buyers 99% of the listed items are all crap, and buyers aren't buying these low ranking crap, so every collection listed on opensea dies quickly because there's no activity and volumes.

Zero respect and support for creators

Zero respect and support for creators. They'd rather burn peoples livelihoods to the ground so they can add to their billions. Where's the incentive for new exciting ideas to get into the market and grow together? Or to support successful (or even struggling) creatives which would only be better for everyone involved? Nope. They're a bunch of 'elites' with no respect.

6 NFT’s stolen worth a large amount and was initially relieved to see email from Opensea that they had suspended the scammer from selling them. My relief soon turned to despair when all they cared about was me filing a police report and reporting to FBI. The customer service is woeful couldn’t have cared less about the devastation of having my assets stolen. I stupidly thought my collections on opensea were more secure than this. Truth is of all the genuine sites and apps that I have used to it only took 1 click of fake one to lose everything of value in seconds. Most sites have security protocols to protect their customers but Opensea have zero.

Don't keep your NFT's on OpenSea

Don't keep your NFT's on OpenSea, because they cannot protect your tokens from being stolen through phishing scams, and if your token gets stolen (like mine), they won't take any responsibility. They won't even block the stolen token from being resold on their platform unless you file a police report (and that after they acknowledge that the NFT was stolen....)

Selling Cyrus Mcnally - nutildah NFT scam.

Selling Cyrus Mcnally NFT scam.
Opensea needs to improve and filter between scams and real NFT's, they don't have warning on scams like Cyrus Mcnally - Nutildah: COUNTERDOGE, DODGERDOGE, HAPPYSHIBE, MILLERLIGHT, SHITCOIN and WEBCOIN, this are tokens created on the Dogecoin blockchain.
This are not real NFT's, they are tokens, is like someone sell the Tether logo as an NFT for $10,000 would you buy it?

I was contacted by lady saying she will buy art at 7 ETH

I was contacted by lady saying that she want to buy my Art at 7 ETH each and told to upload it as NFT on Opensea from there scam has started they have collected 0.2 ETH as gas fee before transaction but deal was not happening, at last they told i need to pay 0.8 ETH as processing fee to complete transaction, i felt fishy. I think opensea is also involved in this scam

Disgraceful

Disgraceful. They don't have any mechanism to prevent scammers from selling fake arts. No validation process or anything related. New collectors do not have any support. If you are sold a fake art they simply wipe it down from your wallet and leave no trace behind. Trash service. go for Nifty Gateway.

I had bought an NFT

I had bought an NFT. The whole transaction was carried out on OpenSea, the token was stored on their site. Roll forward 7 months - NFT is missing which I'm told is because they delisted it for violating some terms or other. Long story short, no NFT, no refund, money lost and OpenSea hold no responsibility. AVOID THESE SCAMMERS AT ALL COST.

I wish I could give zero stars

I wish I could give zero stars - I'll save your time - read every other one star review in here - all of it - happened to me as well. OpenSea is a complete joke; it's predatory practices towards real artists is completely unforgivable and unacceptable. Do better.

Absolute joke, worst functioning site I've ever been to.. cant get anything set up right, that options and settings are a mess or non existent. Jist an absolute mess and shining example of why the whole digital nft art thing isnt working for normal artists..

Great tools, best place for secondary NFT sales

I mean this is the best place to sell NFTs on a secondary market, but their policies on stolen NFTs makes use pretty difficult.

They will let you buy a NFT that has been marked by their system as stolen, then you wont be able to resell it because its been marked as stolen. I have not had this issue as I have to check multiple sites before buying an NFT but this always worreis me when I buy somethign worth more than 1 eth

Great NFT marketplace

Great NFT marketplace! but before minting NFTs there, you MUST educate yourselves. otherwise you may have some problems using it or might lose your funds. Its not scam or fraud. actually its working very well. although, needs some improvements!

Had a bunch of NFTs legitimately stolen…

Had a bunch of NFTs legitimately stolen from my hyper wallet. And they claimed it happened off of their website so they're not responsible. I hope the site crashes and looses all its money. It's nothing but a site full of con artists. Users beware despite opensea's claims of vetting and approving a collections legitimacy before allowing it to be sold, they still won't admit their at fault for allowing a stolen collection to be sold and unfortunately that cost a lot of people a lot of money.

I wish I had read the other reviews…

I wish I had read the other reviews before creating an account on Open fish. It’s a total scam. I lost almost €800 and they said I can’t have a refund. There’s no security in place for protecting customers against fishing or other types of fraud. Stay away from this platform
