Software works well, but no option to buy lifetime license, expensive as hell subscription, shady practices around preventing users to cancel their subscription, it's a hard pass for me. I'll rather b... See more

Very usefull compilation of small utilities, which will make work with os x much easier.
Great Software But Don't Like SaaS (at all)!
I love the software but absolutely do not like the subscription based model. It seems I purchased a "service" and not software. Why not just get a cheap windows laptop that you actually own instead of an annual lease.
Therefore, 1 year and I'm out. Pity as the software runs very well.
It's so convenient and versatile!

Installed Parallels 18 on a new M1 MacBook. Installed Win 11 as per the directions. Other than having to upgrade from Home to Pro in place which was not difficult there were no issues.
it works
it's a little expensive just for using it 2 times a year for a small windows programm
Customer service is great!!!
It was impossible to use some websites on my Apple with out Parallels. It has made my Apple int a windows computer when ever I need it. Easy to open and easy to shut down. Parallels customer service is outstanding!!! They walk all the way with you for set up and training. I highly recommend Parallels.
Crashes and uses way to much disc space
Requires huge amount of disc space which mac users do not have. Runs very slowly due to this use of the disc. Would recommend Citrix instead.
*FAR* better than VMWare Fusion, IMHO...
I needed a Windows virtual machine on my Apple Silicon MacBook Pro, because I needed to run Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio on it. I tried VMWare Fusion first. It worked, but boy was it a chore to install correctly. Took a couple of hours. A co-worker of mine tried Parallels, and he had *SUCH* as easier time of it. Parallels went and found (and installed!) the correct version of Windows 11 Pro (VMWare made me find it, download it, and install it manually). Further, using Parallels, you can run Windows programs directly on your Mac desktop, right next to Mac programs. They call it "coherence mode," and you can't even tell that the program is a Windows program running in a virtual machine. It looks like a native Mac app!
The last straw for me was when VMWare Fusion wouldn't let me copy/paste something from a Mac app to an app running inside its virtual machine window. Because apparently it just can't do that. No clue why. It just can't. They even say so in their documentation. So I uninstalled it and switched to Parallels. That was a bit over a month ago, and I'm not going back.
Parallels also offers you the ability to subscribe to the software annually, if you want "free" major-release updates, or you can pay for the software one time, and not get any major-release updates. I *LIKE* the idea of actually being able to BUY software instead of subscribing to it forever. Having the option to do either is definitely a plus in my book.
Some times I need Win11 on my Macbook
Sometimes I need Win11 on my Macbook Pro. I usually use Parallels to access some of network resources that are not accessible from MacOS. It's great to have this option without compromise (speed, ease of use).

Running Windows on macOS is an amazing experience. My favorite games including NFS Underground 2 and Constantine run well and are fun to play. I am a stock market and forex trader and MetaTrader 4 software runs well. I recommend all people who need to install Windows software on macOS to buy Parallels.
Good virtualization software
A good solution solution to use different versions of several Op Sys at the same time.
An Essential tool for Apple Silicon based Macs
Parallels Desktop is very easy and simple to setup Windows on Mac. It works very well all of the time it is running and does not slow down performance to much. All Windows applications that I install work well and with minimal to no issues.
Parallels is one of the best software…
Parallels is one of the best software programs you can use on Mac.
With it, you can easily run Windows apps on your Mac as if they were native to the operating system.
The installation process is very simple, and the support is great.
The Parallels Toolbox is also fantastic, with a range of useful tools for day-to-day use.
Well done, Parallels team!
Too difficult to pay for
If you're going to sell a product then at least make it easy for customers to pay. It want's me to set up a subscription, which the quantity of licenses is too high, I need to reduce it, but I can only do that by letting it expire causing everyone an inconvenience. And then they don't invoice you but expect credit card payment. Surely collecting money in is a priority? It doesn't seem so, so I won't be investing!
Parallels allow me to use PC based…
Parallels allow me to use PC based software on my MacBook allowing me to have two computers in one. It saves me time. If it saves me time, it also saves me money. Paralles allows me to keep all my files on one computer.
