Do not go to Platinum Wheels and Autocare

I hired a vehicle from Supercar Hire Scotland, trading alongside Platinum Wheels and Autocare). All was fine until the vehicle wouldn’t start in the middle of our trip with an engine exhaust system failure warning light illuminated. We contacted Michael who claimed he would source a mobile mechanic to diagnose and assess, but heard nothing further from him.
Then upon returning the vehicle at the end of our hire, with NO damage to the vehicle and with more fuel than when we collected it, I noticed a charge to my credit card account of £150 with no communication from them whatsoever about what this charge was for. I emailed Michael again and was told he wasn’t sure what it was for, but would ask Rikki - who is Platinum Wherls & Autocare - who delivered us the vehicle. They then replied telling us it was for additional damage to an alloy wheel. The wheel had existing damage and there was no further damage caused to any part of the vehicle during our hire of it. Incredible coincidence that the charge was for alleged damage to an alloy wheel, when the person charging is owner of a “wheel” business.
I did not receive an invoice, a receipt, any information or communication whatsoever about this charge and despite multiple emails and unanswered phone calls trying to follow it up, neither Michael nor Rikki seem able to even afford us the courtesy of a response.
DO NOT HIRE A VEHICLE FROM THIS COMPANY. Disgraceful, unlawful, and unethical business.
