Worst experience of my life.
Hired a death trap off Kristi, Red(pink) Suzuki Swift. Nothing like the photos, they must've been taken 15 years ago when the car was new. The engine light on, limp mode activated, drive shafts clicking, suspension felt broken, rear light out, rust and holes throughout, bumper snapped and out of shape, rear windows didn't work, central locking broken, slow puncture rear left which we had to inflate 3 times in 5days, puncture front right which cost £40 even though we had insurance which cost more than the car hire itself. Then to top it off, upon drop off we are greeted by multiple giants who refused to give our deposit back, pure intimidation, midnight, in the middle of nowhere, my partner was petrified. We cleaned the car using wipes and he had the cheek to moan that they ruin the paintwork!

This was a 40th birthday trip, completely ruined by the awful car, service and costs through not getting our deposit back. Albania itself was beautiful, but everyone is out to rip you off, always check your change and the exchange rate.

The owner was super nice; he let us change the pickup and delivery times without any problem. He always responded super quickly to any questions we had and was incredibly friendly.

They upgraded my car at no extra cost, and everything was perfect, no issues at all. The prices are great, and the customer service is very responsive and helpful. I highly recommend them; in my experience, they’re even better than big Rental Cars compagnies.

Good fast service which was easy to book with cheap prices. The only let down was the car didnt always go into 2nd or sometimes 3rd gear.

We looked for a rental company for a while, but you need to ask around and it's best to have a printed paper with the rental company's details. Once you found the right person, the process was simple. Here's the car, check everything and take pictures. Here, sign the contract and give me cash as a security deposit, which they returned to our account after a few days. The fuel will be photographed and the car will be returned in the same condition. The car was not in the best condition (2010 model). It made various noises when driving on bad roads. So quite nervous. We had purchased Roadside assistance from Sigal. I don't know how it would work in practice. but in the end it took us everywhere. The return process was more than simple. You will find the person in charge, who will check if the car is complete and ready to drive. Be careful not to rent diesel. Diesel is much more expensive in Albania than petrol.

The booking system was easy to understand. The car was in good condition and was priced appropriately. It was delivered to my desired location, and I received all the instructions and answers to my questions. I had the option to make a small cash deposit. Both the aggregator website and the rental company were satisfactory; everything went smoothly.

I found this agency by chance through rentfromlocals.al and it was better than we expected.
We rented an automatic Hyundai Bayon that was almost new (around 15.000 km). There were signs that the driver’s door had been damaged and repaired, but the car drove well and it was comfortable enough for longs drives around the country.
The lot is a short walk away from the airport terminal and both picking up the car and dropping it off went smoothly.
Great value for money. I totally recommend and I’ll surely book again the next time I’m in Tirana.

Easy to find, easy to talk to, very nice people that work there, gave us insight on the traffic and things to know in the road in their country. All of the time fast replies to every question that we had, any time of the day they were easily reachable. Best experience, definitely recommend and would rent there again!🥰

I was nervous about renting a car from local companies as I always go for international ones. But this one was one of the best experiences I have ever had. I got a car from Elio. Everything went as good as possible. Pick-up to drop-off. 10 on 10 in everything. Highly recommend.

After checking all of the options, I found Rent From Locals, with Klestip, the best deal. Got a great option, car was good enough. The plataform was easy to contact, clear, deposit was not high and communication was also really good. Totally recommend it.

Honestly, the best experience I ever had with a car rental. We booked through Rent from locals and rented from the profile gentiand1. Even before arriving in Albania, Eneo from the car rental already reached out via WhatsApp and asked for our flight number, which gave me a good feeling from the start. When we arrived in Tirana, the car rental is literally just outside the airport, so you step off the plane and basically walk straight to your car. We got a short introduction and were good to go.

The Volvo XC90 was very clean and really nice. Unfortunately, after two days the car broke down. We were quite shocked and texted the rental.
Eneo immediately organized help, arranged transport to our destination, and the next day we got a free upgrade to a newer 4x4 (Nissan Qashqai J11). They also refunded us a whole day of the rental fee, which was really, really good. I think everyone has this horror scenario of breaking down with a rental car in a foreign country, but here we felt super well taken care of.

Throughout the whole trip, communication with Eneo was always super good. They were also super flexible with the timeframe for returning the car, so we could bring it back at 4am and just hop on the plane right after.

Overall, I can really recommend this car rental. They speak English, communication is great, and the cars are really good. And most importantly, in case of an emergency, they help you immediately and you’re not left alone in a foreign country. Definitely recommend.

I recommend this platform for renting a car. The only minor misunderstanding was that I payed a deposit of €40 for Rent From Locals but the actual provider of the car (Regonta) wanted me to pay another deposit of €50. I got both of the deposits back but i was confused to whom do I pay. I think they should state that more clearly.
