It's way more fun to learn the basics of a language through natural speaking and feedback, than out of a textbook.

But I'm also highly satisfied with the live studio instructors, and the administration of that part of the program. Like many people, I have a busy schedule, and two or three times, that's resulted in scheduling snafus that caused me to have to reschedule sessions on very short notice. Even without asking, I've had any of my prepaid fees credited forward, to the next session.

Rosetta Stone is amazing, life-changing all most. It is such a brilliant way of learning a language and doesn't feel tedious or boring.

Does not have English translation during lessons! Have to have book to help when taking lessons..

I've been using this program to learn…

I've been using this program to learn Korean and it is very difficult to learn the language when it's almost entirely full sentences. I wish there was something I could read to understand the grammar because I keep having to guess at everything and it stresses me out. The speaking parts are hit and miss, but other than that it works great!

The service is great

The service is great. However the product needs some improvement. 1. The keyboard letters are too small
2. The pictures are not clear or they need to be larger or more detailed, ie distinguishing men from women.

Excellent experience

Expensive, frustrating, poorly made and poorly maintained

I have sent several emails to Rosetta Stone in regards to how their program either has slides with pronunciation exercises that done ever acknowledge a person speaking or slides that you can say something barely close to what you are asked to say and get a perfect score on.

I paid for a 6 month subscription to learn Mandarin and immediately regretted it. My last email included a video where the program asked me to say Dian Hua, the mandarin words for telephone (tones not shown) and I got perfect pronunciation score for saying Leann Ma.

I tried the program years ago on my laptop and it was littered with errors and malfunctions. I thought it might have improved after so long but it seems worse. Furthermore, nothing has been updated or improved.

The claim they have fixed an error I inform them of but they to nothing to be proactive in refining, improving or even doing quality control on their product. It is a sloppily made, I maintained, mess that makes it difficult to learn.

I speak words and phrases to a friend who is came to Canada from China and Rosetta Stone gives the impression I have perfected these phases but my friend says I am not even close. The program leaves a person feeling over confident until the talk to someone and then they feel like a fool.

Reading professional reviews online I am seeing a continuing narrative that people become frustrated and stop using Rosetta Stone, it uses poor methods to teach and its claims are just shy of fraud.

I recommend you try a different program, I’m going to look for one.

Sad Excuse of a Language Learning Site

It is repetitive, formal enough to not be well for casual conversation, doesn't tell you what is being said, and is overpriced when it has better alternatives while simultaneously not teaching anything about a specific languages symbols or alphabet specifics. There is a difference between repetitive nonsense and education.

Worse learning app ever

Worse learning app ever. From first hand experiences this style of of teaching is horrible. The system does not pick up your voice. Do not get this app

At times it is challenging they throw words at you that you have never seen. I bought a dictionary and it really helps. I guess if it was easy anyone could do it

Your training has to be the most…

Your training has to be the most frustrating experience of learning that I have had. You don't tell the student what the words mean, you let us figure it out from a picture. It doesn't work for me. I have given up on learning from this. I am traveling to Spain at the end of December and wanted to be able to at least have a basis for their language, but I can see now that won't happen.
