I strongly advise against doing business with this company. They are unreliable, unprofessional, and dishonest. Despite failing to deliver the promised service, they outright refused to issue a refund. Here's my detailed experience:
I signed a contract with them to build a cluster of four servers in Amsterdam. After making the payment, I received an email stating the cluster would be ready within 96 hours. However, 22 days later—after countless follow-ups and endless frustration—they had delivered nothing.
Key Issues Encountered:
1- Cluster Delivery Delay
The cluster was supposed to be delivered in Amsterdam within the agreed timeframe. However, it remains in the U.S., causing significant delays. We are now well beyond the project schedule despite having invested considerable time and resources.
2- Support Terms
Although they claim to offer 24/7 support, the reality is far from it. Support is only available during standard working hours, with no assistance on weekends or holidays. Even during these limited hours, responses have been generic and unhelpful, such as "We are working on it" or "We will look into it."
2- Response Time
Response times are unacceptably slow, even for simple tasks. For instance, BIOS setting changes, which should take minutes to resolve, have taken hours.
3-Breach of Contract
The contract explicitly stated that servers would be tested in Amsterdam, yet we were asked to test them in the U.S. after the agreement was signed. We agreed to this as a courtesy to help with shipping costs, but this was not part of the initial terms.
The promised 24/7 support was not provided.
Delivery timelines (48 hours as per their communication) were blatantly ignored.
4-Hardware Quality Issues
Several hardware problems have been identified:
Switches with multiple faulty ports.
A server that reboots on its own (confirmed by their team).
RAID controller issues in the last server, leading to file disappearance after copying.
4-Lack of Monitoring System
While this is an unmanaged hosting setup, basic monitoring for server health and RAID functionality should still be provided. These critical features are missing entirely, making the system prone to undetected failures.
5- Paid Support Concerns
Despite this being an unmanaged setup, requests such as BIOS setting changes should fall under basic support. However, they treat every request as a management task and charge extra for even the simplest of changes.
Conclusion
This experience has been a nightmare. The company has failed on multiple fronts, including service delivery, support quality, hardware reliability, and contract adherence. If you value your time, money, and peace of mind, stay far away from this company

Timely setup was the only thing they got right...
I am giving them 2 stars because they did get my server up in time (within 8 hours) as promised on their website. But the server I received was corrupted and failed 3 times in approximately 48 hours. Each time we had thoroughly configured it, only for it to fail. This resulted in 3 wasted days of work. We waited 3 days and no one had fixed the issue, so we migrated to another provider. Luckily, we had already kept backups of our site files. In conclusion, timely setup was the only thing they got right.
12.06.2024 update:
Server Mania is denying that the server was down, despite the fact that support ticket numbers 1956225 1956826 and 1956543 clearly show that the server was down, and the downtime was confirmed by Server Mania technicians. We could not even access the server via root. This denial is obviously being done to prevent us from getting a refund.

ServerMania killed our old company and almost our lives. Avoid them!
If you’re considering purchasing any service from this terrible company, run away before it’s too late. They will cause you endless stress, pain, and eventually, cost you your wealth. Let me explain how ServerMania destroyed everything we spent 11 years building.
ServerMania performed emergency power maintenance on 7th October 2024, between 3:00 PM and 4:00 PM EDT. During this period, our main server, which hosted our website, was hacked and encrypted with ransomware known as JungleSec. Even worse, our backup server, located at a completely different physical ServerMania location with separate usernames, login credentials, and more, was also hacked.
We contacted ServerMania, but they claimed everything was functioning smoothly on their end and suggested we restore our website using backup data, which had also been hacked and encrypted.
After conducting an internal investigation, we found that the hacker had accessed the server via a vulnerability in ServerMania’s IPMI hardware. The evidence strongly suggested that this hardware wasn’t properly configured, allowing hackers to take control of our servers with default credentials.
It became apparent that this was likely a company-wide attack, affecting multiple servers across various physical locations. Initially, ServerMania denied any hacking or issues, constantly advising us to restore from backup, even though those backups were also encrypted. After persistent pressure, they finally admitted to the hacking attack and informed us that they had disabled the IPMI hardware “to prevent further problems.”
ServerMania then requested we provide the ransom payment file and an encrypted file, hoping they could decrypt the data, but their attempts failed. No data was recovered. Subsequently, ServerMania issued an ‘Urgent Security Notice’ acknowledging the IPMI security threat and stating that JungleSec ransomware was exploiting IPMI vulnerabilities to gain unauthorized server access. They confirmed they had disabled IPMI access to all affected servers to mitigate the risk. This admission confirmed that the vulnerabilities in ServerMania’s infrastructure, created by them, were responsible for the hacking.
In a pitiful attempt to address the issue, ServerMania offered us a one-month free subscription as compensation—an insult considering the scale of the damage.
Prior to the attack, we had already experienced numerous issues, including servers shutting down without explanation and previous emergency power maintenance incidents. The hacker attack took place during a second maintenance window, suggesting that ServerMania may have known about the IPMI hardware vulnerabilities for months but failed to inform us, leaving our data exposed.
Very importantly, ServerMania not only failed to inform us about their hardware issues, but they also never asked for or received our permission to install IPMI hardware on our server.
This catastrophic breach wiped out over 95% of our active users and around 90% of our content, including payment data and personal profiles. The thriving user community we had built over 11 years was destroyed, leaving our business and reputation in ruins with no viable solution for recovery.
To make matters worse, their customer support team was utterly useless. They repeated the same unhelpful information in broken English, wasting our time and making a horrible situation even more stressful.
Our legal team is now investigating several options, including media actions, to mitigate the damage caused by ServerMania.
To anyone reading this, whether you’re a current or prospective client of ServerMania, steer clear before they destroy your company and possibly your entire livelihood.

In your reply, you are shifting blame with unrelated and incorrect arguments.
Your IPMI hardware caused the vulnerability (we have written proof from you). By contract, hardware functionality is your responsibility, yet you installed and tested IPMI live without notifying us, leading to power outages and, ultimately, a hacker attack.
Moreover, this was a company-wide attack that also encrypted our backup data stored on entirely separate servers, located in different locations.
Despite using “managed server support” to shift blame onto us, you offered this support yet still failed in your recovery attempts and decryption efforts.
Publicly, you deny responsibility, yet in private, you acknowledged your IPMI hardware fault and failed “managed server support.”

Servermania had an incident where my server I leased from them had a drive failure. It has now been 36 hours, and they still haven't fixed the issue. The support staff seem to have no idea what they are doing and why they are responsible for the problems my server had as a result of this drive failure....
I've been a customer for a number of years and am floored that I am being treated this way, and that their support staff is really this clueless!

I've been utilizing services from ServerMania for a couple months now, and am very satisfied with the level of service and attention i've been receiving from their team. If you're looking for a personal experience with great support, the ServerMania team is for you.
When using other hosting providers, there is usually a deep lack of communication and responsiveness. This is not the case with ServerMania. If you want 1 on 1 human interaction, i haven't found an alternative better than ServerMania.
While the backend and some other features are not quite as contemporary as other hosting providers, the level of quality technical support makes up for it - and the quality of hardware rental is A+. I will continue to utilize ServerMania for the foreseeable future. Definitely recommended.

Stay away
Stay away, could not even access the server and they wanted the full monthly payment. They expect you to diagnose issue on server but how could you if can not even connect to it!!
Support was “looking into issue” when I got tired of unable to even log in for a day I requested to cancel as needed a reliable service which they are not.
If you ask for a refund they say all payments not refundable and or you agree to pay them “administrative” fee equal to the monthly payment not to refund you anything.
I should have read this reviews first before engaging this company.

I have the email from your company stating they setup the firewall wrong so I could not connect. Stop being such a bad customer service and blame user for your company fault. State in an email was your issue but in public say we did nothing wrong is your knowledge!
Hope stealing $100 gets your company in profits before going broke for bad service.

We have been using ServerMania for over a year building out our MVP for an analytics product and been happy. We are having to move to AWS to be on the same platform as our third party database provider.
