It’s no industry secret that there is a severe skills shortage of qualified gas engineers in the UK. The privatisation of the Gas Board in 1986, further compounded by a lack of investment in public funding for apprenticeships has caused a skills gap in the industry. There are around 25 million homes in the UK, all of which require a source of heating and hot water. By far the and away, gas central heating is the most popular method of proving heating & hot water. With gas appliances requiring an annual service to maintain their manufacturer’s warranty, every rented property requiring an annual Gas Safety Certificate, repairs required to keep appliances operational & the average lifespan of a combi boiler lasting 15 years’ you can be assured training as a gas engineer is both prosperous and sustainable.

First Aid at Work in-house training

Lauren was brilliant at organising the training and Mark was an amazing trainer - he made everyone feel at ease, the pace of the training was perfect, as was the content and delivery.

Excellent training course

The staff are excellent from the back office to the trainers. Everyone is approachable and friendly and will take the time to help you. I thoroughly enjoyed my course, special mention to Paul Mccolgan the trainer, made the course enjoyable but also challenged us. Would highly recommend using skills training.

PAT Testing Course Southampton

Pat Hutton was absolutely brilliant in his delivery and knowledge throughout the course. Would recommend any of my colleagues or clients to this centre for a PAT testing course.

PAT Testing

Prior to attending the course everything was well communicated with me. When I arrived the assessor had everything set up ready to go so we could make a prompt start to the day.

There was no time wasted and all key points identified. Although formal assessment took place throughout the day, it didn’t feel pressured.

I would definitely use this company again and would definitely recommend the assessor I had.
