This is really the best place to go to when making decisions about solar. It's a 'one stop shop' and has such an important role to play in helping to match needs to products.

I was looking for a solar system installer and Solar Choice facilitated the contact with a company that delivered a very good system at a competitive price.

With the plethora of options available Solarchoice made it so much easier, providing simple expert advice allowing me to feel in control in my solar selection.

In late July 2021 I decided to investigate the installation of a solar set-up at my house. I knew nothing at all about what might be involved so I did a Web search and discovered Solar Choice. I immediately engaged with them and was astounded at the assistance provided to me AT NO COST! From that point onward I was guided painlessly by the Solar Choice Team - they were fantastic and, almost before I knew it, I had a great system installed and operating. I can't praise them highly enough!

claims to provide instant quotes yet demands my phone number and that I agree that providers can phone me. No instant quotes were provided. Some kind of phishing scam? No doubt my details will be used by some sort of dodgy phone list and I will have more calls to report to scam watch

Overall, this was a very positive experience and a very good web site. The general information is good and the "Compare personalised solar panel and battery quotes" section is excellent and very clear. My only peeve was the total inability to look at the other sections on the same front page - "Locate your roof and create your profile" and the "Explore your roof's potential" buttons. Despite signing up via email etc.

I have had no contact with any solar installers. Very disappointed. Obviously they are not interested.

The response was prompt and helpful, giving the information I requested and advising they would look up the answers to the questions they did not have at their fingertips.

Within a day of inquiring at Solar Choice all three Solar agency/installer contacted me and offer me different choices and explain to me about solar panels and inverters. I compare the offers and was able to chose one. Within a week my solar system is installed. I am very happy.

I found the Solar Choice site very informative. Even if you knew nothing about solar panels and batteries, after reading the relevant articles on the site you come away with a much better understanding and the confidence to talk to suppliers of solar systems without becoming bamboozled with their "solar speak".

Solar choice provides a comprehensive resource on PV solar and a platform from which to compare products and solutions.
After deciding on the merits of solar PV I tried getting an independent quote from 1) a cold phone call marketer and 2) a door knock marketer. In both cases the information can best be described as flimflam and the the quotes + sales pressure was a rip-off.
I went back to Solar choice and I got an immediate response from two companies.
I selected one company that gave me credible answers to my questions and also their pricing was comparable to the best in our neighbourhood.

Solar choice helpfully put us in contact with 3 local suppliers. This was useful and we ended up going with one of them.

However the 3 quotes were not directly comparable because they had different descriptions of the battery material (which we think all turned out to be the same anyway), different descriptions of how their costs fitted within the ACT Governments NextGen program, and how they treated gst.

A standard solarchoice template could avoid comparative issues in future.

Electrician failed to attend appointment. Solar Choice only responded after my calls to them. I would have considered Solar Choice to replace the existing panels but will not do so now. That’s $8-10k of lost business due to poor customer service. Expensive lesson.
