Stay away from Helvetus. Here’s my warning.
Helvetus markets itself as a Swiss-based watch band company, and Tom — who runs the operation — leans hard on that image. But a growing number of people in the watch community have figured out the truth: the bands are sourced from China through sites like Alibaba and AliExpress, then resold at a massive markup. Bands that cost roughly $4–6 are sold for $150–250 each.
The whole website is designed to make you feel like you’re buying a premium Swiss-made product. What you actually get is cheap inventory dressed up to look like something it isn’t.
When I received the wrong product, they fought me every step of the way. Even though the mistake was entirely theirs, they insisted I ship my band back first before they’d send the correct one for my client.
To top it off, customer service appears to be automated. “Mia,” their AI response program, just repeats the same canned answers over and over — no real person actually engaging with the problem.
And I’m far from alone. There are multiple posts on Facebook and Reddit calling Helvetus out for the same thing.
Heed my warning and steer clear. Good luck.
