Very impressed with SumUp. I now get more people buying, transactions are quick and easy to perform. The team at SumUp are quick to respond to questions and problem solve. Overall excellent
Good customer service, Sumup people are easy to speak to. The signing up process is thorough which is understandable. I have the stand alone 3G card reader. It’s easy to use and the customers like it. If your thinking of buying a machine for your business this is the company to go with.

I have previously used sum up and I have never come across a company with such a bad customer service.
I have had issues that were never resolved or even replied to. multiple emails sent for simple things such as a change of email address never received a reply. Issues with the POS never received a reply I had tried calling multiple times to be on hold for up to 30 minuites to then be told they were unable to help and that I should email to get a resolution just trow you around in circles.
The POS is possibly one of the worst I have used there is no staff management (keeping track of staff sales) there is no product management you have no idea of what you have sold and how many of unless you log onto your online account then you are presented with a spreadsheet and if you are a bigger company it is a challenge to sift through the information to find what you are looking for. everything is mixed together you physically can not sort it in any order. you can't look for products or have access to an itemised list. there is no way of having ready made discounts for sales. if you want a better POS they direct you to there "partners" which charge a ridiculous amount of money.
I now use square and will never be returning to sum up. Yes the fee is a little bit more but now I can track staff performance, they can clock in and out on the app, I can see an itemised list of products sold, link it to my accounting software (Xero) so it does my accounts automatically, apply ready made discount codes and its all included in a free version of the app. you can also create "Tabs" if you have a bar or a restaurant its great for that. since the move I have never looked back the app is a lot faster that sum up and it hasn't crashed yet which was another issue I was having with sum up.
I had also previously purchased the 3G reader which they say works on any network this is untrue I struggled in many places to get any signal when I and my staff all had good service.
Overall an extremely disappointing service there keen to help you sign up but after that your on your own.
Initial reservation was that it took 2-3 days to payout, well, payments are pretty much going into my account the next day so I cannot complain at all and totally exceeded expectations. Fabulous, easy to use machine especially as I'm rubbish with anything remotely gadget like! Customer service is great, have always been there when needed. The only thing that sometimes happens is my bluetooth plays up, so i turn my phone off and then on and it fixes that! Other than that I'm, So so pleased, cannot fault at all and so pleased I made the change. 100% recommend.

Worst company I have ever dealt with I’m a small roofing business and have other work to do and they have with held my money £2200 for over a week now so I can’t buy more material for other jobs due to this I have lost business they tell you they will call u back but don’t and push you off with different excuses each time I provided everything they asked for over a week ago and I’m still in the same boat I’m really annoyed that I put my trust into this company
I have been using sumup for about 6 months now and it is a fab handy device for my events. Everytime (which has only been twice so far) I call the customer services, they are polite and friendly and professionally sort out the issue. I have no complaints at all. I would highly recommend sumup to anyone which I have and they love it. I hardly notice the fee that is taken and the machine itself is inexpensive. Couldnt ask for more

This is an excellent way to take card payments.
I'm a driving instructor and it's ideal for me being mobile all day and saves me time stopping at cash machines as the new generation don't use cash.
Any small issues have been resolved quickly and efficiently by the support system.
This is my 2nd card machine and it is miles better than the previous company.
I would highly recommend this product.

They are very responsive in a timely manner.
They were the first choice reader after doing some research.
I can only enter cards manually (until i learn other ways that might work!), because my clients are in Texas, and i am in Florida.
Was initially disappointed when i called and was told their policy is to not allow this without first a month or two of the client handing me the card in person.
So, i emailed them the request, extolling my virtues and reasons, and they’ve responded with some questions for me to answer, and they will give me consideration.
That was unexpected. Very glad they have that willingness.
They appear to be humanistic, because they are relational, and readily available on the phone.
That sure doesn’t happen much these days with the prevalence of completely electronic communications...that sometimes fakes days to get a response.
So, Sumup cares deeply about customer service!
Hope i get to use them, and am as pleasantly pleased with their products!

I would leave no stars if i could!! Absolute shambles of a company! Do not use they hold money for no apparent reason really damaging to your business and their only explanation is they are part of a financial institution as is Barclaycard, Worldpay and everyone else please avoid at all costs TERRIBLE!!

Shocking. Bought the card reader from Ryman and then tried to set up. Got same answer as a previous reviewer. Also referred to 16.1 in terms and conds. Entirely irrelevant section! Now have a machine I paid for with no chance of reimbursement as it's been unpacked. Wanted to use it for a charity event to make it easier for people to donate. Had full letter of authenticity from major well known charity to prove all genuine and above board. And our company is a well established city tech company regularly posting profitable results to Companies house. No justification for denying use, but completely stonewalled.
