Excellent service and great value buy-back rates
Like several another reviewers here, I felt a bit uneasy about sending around £500 pound’s worth of notes in the post to a company knew little about. Good reviews persuaded me to give it a go and I have to say that I was very impressed. Logging the transaction and setting up my account was simple. Day 1 - post by special delivery. Day 2 - Received email confirming receipt by lunchtime and payment confirmation by teatime. Day 4 - BACS transaction landed in my bank account. I saved over £25 vs a high street store bureau that I had considered using. Recommended.
Smooth transaction
I was a bit sceptical about posting a large sum of cash to a company I hadn't heard of before, however decide to go ahead with the order as the exchange rates were really good and I have the cash insured at the post office anyway. I was emailed as soon as they received the cash and then again shortly afterwards to say that my order had been processed and the money would be paid by BACS. I received the money into my account this morning. Very smooth transaction from beginning to end and I will definitely recommended and use Currency Club again in the future.

Excellent service. Cancellation of our trip to the US in April left us with a load of US dollars that we couldn't use. Selling them back to the currency exchange where we purchased them would have left us £140-£160 out of pocket so we hung on.
We found this place when looking for the best rate online. I must say I was sceptical but I was proved wrong. I paid £10.50 to send them special delivery and this insures up to £2500. Communication was excellent and the whole transaction was completed and the money in my account within 4 days. Whist still out of pocket slightly it was nowhere near the lose of selling back to the currency exchange. First class service and I will definitely use again. A big thank you!
Beware of rates quoted to those actually given
I have used Currency Club previously to buy currency and have been very happy. This was my first time using their buy back service where I wanted to sell some spare currency back to them.
I was quoted a buy back rate of 21.0965 South African Rand which I accepted, noting the T&Cs where the rate could change. I sent the money that afternoon and they received it the next morning. I then had confirmation of the buy back that afternoon at a rate of 21.3069. This seemed quite a change in 24 hours so I checked their website again (within an hour of their confirmation email) and found the buy back rate was now 21.0138 (which is actually better than the original buy back rate quoted). This has cost me over £10 in exchange rate differences which doesn’t appear to be reasonable.
I would warn people to be aware that the rates quoted may be quite different to that actually given.
