Absolutely amazing- won an amp
Absolutely amazing- won an amp, couple of effects and recently a rather wonderful guitar- all delivered with no fuss and great comms . Thank you !!
Genuine site, keep in control
Wow, guitar number 2 from these guys. Amazed to get 1 but to win twice is crazy. As per my previous review, remember it's essentially a lucky dip and gambling so only play safe as its easy to get carried away with the guitar dream. But they are definitely not a scam, I have a fender and a rickenbacker to prove otherwise. Good luck
I won a guitar
When I won my guitar I received it within 2 days, it was very well packed and was able to track it, the guitar was in very good condition and I'm still very happy with it
My dream guitar
I've been dreaming of owning a Les Paul since I was a teenager (a very long time ago), and the guys at TGM made it happen. The guitar arrived just a few days after I won it – brilliant service! I'll be trying my luck again in the near future.
I won a Martin Limited Edition M-36
I entered a competition to win a Martin Limited Edition M-36. My first time entering a draw. I couldn't believe it when I won. Not only that but the guitar arrived next day. Amazing. The guitar is in mint condition and exactly as described.
Disappointed
I won a Fender classic series 50's Stratocaster in an instant win competition. Delivery took a few weeks but wasn't too bothered. When it arrived it had dents/scratches all over, missing backplate, one string hanging off, two different brands of strings and some grime under the tone knobs. I appreciate it's not a brand new guitar but expected better quality. Was very excited to own a fender. In fairness to the guys, they offered replacement strings and a backplate.
Had my 2nd win last Monday
Had my 2nd win last Monday. I stay in the north of Scotland and guitar arrived 1 week (on my birthday) after my win. Superb service this time around.
Told me I'd won twice, then blamed a "technical error"
I entered a competition for a Les Paul and received an email containing all my details informing me that I'd won the competition and to reply to confirm details, which I did. Great right?
After being on a high for a few days and shopping for new equipment to pair with this I received a bizarre email saying there had been a mistake but still informing me that I had won.
There was then a further follow up email saying "due to a technical error" I hadn't actually won, they'd mixed me up with another customer (hello GDPR breach). I was offered £10 credit for the inconvenience.
Now I understand that mistakes can be made, but to mess up twice and lead me to believe I had won for a few days is downright amateurish. Not only that, to be offered £10 site credit after I'd been told I'd won a £1500 guitar is pretty insulting seeing as multiple errors were made on their end.
Having been a loyal customer previously, I won't be using them again as this episode has raised many questions for me about the validity of the contests.
Not only that, but has made me question their data protection policy by allowing my personal details to get entangled with another customer's.
This whole operation stinks of amateur hour!

Does what it says on the tin.
Bought a few tickets, won the competition, guitar delivered a few days later. What an amazing company.
Zero stars is not an option, unfortunately.
Unfortunately, rate with zero stars is not an option.
A few weeks ago I registered an account with my email address and phone number on their website. Played a couple of times but got decided to unsubscribe from their emails, thinking this would have been the end of the unwanted notifications.
However, Monday - 30/09/2024 at 16:22 I Received the following a message from TGM: " Vintage Fender Strat for 99p!
WIN LIVE AT 7PM TODAY! Gibson, Fender, Schecter, & More + 50 NEW Instant Wins!
ENTER HERE - (link)
EXIT to 88440 "
Which matches with the instant win that was online on that day.
So I rushed to reply to that number to exit, since I never agreed with receiving marketing by text.
However right after got the following text from my SIM card provider:
" Hi, that text was charged from your giffgaff credit balance. Your credit balance is now £4.85. Stop notifications: (link) "
Got a high charge without even being aware that quitting would come at a cost.
Did some research and it appears that I am not the only one that was charged to exercise the right of not receiving unwanted marketing or spam.
Hence why I am posting this review today.
Please fix this, I kindly request my money back, as no information has been provided beforehand on the text and I did not authorized my sim card to be charged.
I am sure this is not legal.
I can provide evidence if needed.

My 9th guitar win!
I’ve won 9 guitars so far so I’m doing very well!
Always a delight to get a win. My latest was an amazing LTD ESP Sparrowhawk. Delivered in perfect condition within 5 days
Highly recommend you try for a win!
Great company to deal with
Great company to deal with, they answer enquiries quickly. Still waiting for the big win but I’ll keep on trying.
Scam
Scam. They will send you text messages and when you reply STOP it will charge you £4.5. Exchanged few messages with the owner and he is not the nicest bloke.
Reply: Correct, my mobile operator sets the charge but it was YOU who set up that premium text message and it is YOU who receives revenue from it. The nasty thing about it is that you do not inform that there may be a charge for simply wanting to opt out from the newsletter. It’s hidden cost and an unfair business practice which I have already reported.

100% Trustworthy Company To Use.
I just won a Gibson Les Paul Gold Top from The Guitar Marketplace last week. I got the email saying I'd won and the guitar arrived a few days later.Totally great experience. I've been using this company for a while and like any other raffle, it's the luck of the draw, which fortunately it was my turn to win this week. Many thanks.
I have asked them numerous times to…
I have asked them numerous times to stop sending me texts, they replied once telling me to use the link in the texts to ‘exit’, the link doesn’t work. Asked them repeatedly to stop and told them the ‘exit’ link doesn’t work but they still send texts. No way to close my account from their website, I’m totally fed up with their amateurish attitude but can’t get rid of them. Don’t use this site if you don’t want constant spam from them. I have blocked them from my texts several times but they keep coming through. ANNOYING!
Guitar Gear Giveaway is much better, run professionally and much better guitars to win at better ticket prices.

I won a Slash Gibson Les Paul
I won a Slash Gibson Les Paul. I was contacted the night of the draw and then received the guitar the following week. Guitar was great and I’m very happy.

I only went and won a Gibson Les Paul…
I only went and won a Gibson Les Paul Custom!!
I was a bit over excited and spent a couple of hours dancing around the room. There were a few doubters about my win, but I had nothing to worry about. I was contacted the next day and the guitar was delivered the next week. It’s a stunning guitar - Absolutely Brilliant!!
tickets for prizes that are already won
I won a guitar a while back, with an instant win ticket, got the guitar (a player tele) quickly and in good nick, so I know theyre a legit company, and not a scam.
But the instantly win competitions look different now. Before, it showed up on the page straight away when prizes are won, but now, It takes like three or four minutes before the prizes show up as won. I know that because I won a small prize a couple of weeks ago, and i was watching the page and refreshing. It was at least three minutes before it showed up that I won it on the competition page. people were buying tickets, but one of the prizes had gone
I don't know why it's changed that way, but it doesn't seem right. you can buy a ticket thinking prizes are available, but someone else already won them. as well as that, the number of tickets sold for the main competitions ALWAYS jumps right at the end, like 400 tickets suddenly got bought in the last five minutes. don't know why that is, doesnt make sense to me. Maybe theres innocent reasons, but it's definitely changed, and looks proper fishy.
