I placed Scammers an order with these people

I placed an order with these people. Never received an order confirmation so wasn't aware my sapling had been sent. After 2 weeks I contacted them. They were rude, did not address the fact they didn't confirm order. Then after loads of emails he Ed has stopped responding to me. I never received my sapling or a refund...
Don't buy anything from these scammers.

Poor communication about delivery

I ordered two trees, one inoculated with truffle fungi.
I received one hazel whip. No mention of when the rest of the order would be delivered. There was quite a delay between deliveries because I assume the truffle tree was sourced from a third party. Unhappy that order was sent out over a Bank Holiday weekend as post often disrupted and plant not in best condition when it arrived. Clearer communication about split shipping would have helped. I had to chase up. But in the end i did get what i ordered. Update now in July 2023 both trees are doing fine.

Poor

Poor. Ordered some plants and did not arrive and had no info on when they might. No one to call only an e-mail. However, I'm sure the e-mail is a robot, because it could not understand a basic request, and came back with generic replies. e.g. 'Please advise.. my address.. I don;t have an order number as I never got an e-mail' The reply 'Please provide a order number', my reply 'I don't have an order number because....' the reply 'Please provide an order number' and so on! :) Avoid this company they have no interest in even basic customer service.

Excellent product and service

So far I have placed 3 orders with Trees by Post. The First order 4 x Nordmann fir Second order 4 x Japanese cedar 4 x Douglas fir 4 x Lodgepole pine.
Really happy with the saplings that arrived healthy and strong. The first 2 orders were excellent however there was a problem with my 3rd order. Now things go wrong sometimes I understand that but it’s how a problem is handled that sets a really great company ahead of the rest. I have to say I was immensely impressed with how Ed resolved my issue and I would 100% recommend Trees by Post for a great array of trees and exceptional customer service. As I post this review I am placing my 4th order for 15 more trees and will continue to use Trees by Post for great quality plants and trees.

treesbypost.co.uk aka treestoplant.co.uk - worst customer experience of 2020!

TLDR:
- Note: Treesbypost.co.uk appear to be the same people as treestoplant.co.uk
- Do not be fooled by the option to select your delivery date on the Treestoplant.co.uk website! Unlike other businesses, this is not a recommendation that your order will arrive on that date, and treestoplant will take zero responsibility if your order does not arrive on the date you chose.
- Check their T&Cs (particularly the "refund policy") and reviews before you buy so you know just how much your customer rights are likely to be dismissed if something goes wrong with your order

Having not seen my father for a year due to COVID-19, we worked out a way for me to safely visit him for his birthday. I was delighted to see that treestoplant appeared to offer the option to select delivery dates, and placed an order from them to arrive the day before I travelled to visit my father, intended as a birthday gift for him. My order did not arrive that day, nor the morning before we left. When we returned from out trip, it had been delivered to a neighbour. I reached out to treestoplant to say what had happened, explain that I was unlikely to see my father again for who knew how long, and that I'd really like to ensure a buckthorn plant like the one I had ordered reached him. I asked them to send a replacement - or alternately to let me know whether it would be safe to put the tree straight back in the post, and send me a refund on postage, since I was going to have to re-post it. Treestoplant responded to say that, yes, I could put it in the post, and made no reference to my request for a postage refund/replacement. Shrugging this off as poor form, I headed to the post-office - where I was told the parcel was too long to be sent as a normal next-day delivery. Instead, it would need to go by Parcel Force, for more than the tree itself had cost me. I came home, and emailed treestoplant describing what had happened, and requesting that they either send a replacement to my father, and advise me as to how to return the tree - or at least advise me how to return the tree in order to get a refund. What followed was 10 days' worth of emails with treestoplant. This was not only an instance of the customer not being right, but our lovely post office worker's judgement was questioned, then royal mail in general... At one point it was suggested that I should somehow "reduce the length of the box" that they had sent the tree in, in order to send it via mail. Throughout this I repeatedly politely requested a refund, or at least a refund on postage, or a refund and a returns label, or a replacement being sent to my father, and my requests were staunchly ignored, while increasingly impractical suggestions were made as to how I might get the tree to my father (whose birthday was now long gone). Worst customer service of 2020!

Great trees, great value, dreadful communication!

I ordered 60 little laurel trees to plant a hedge and then read the other trustpilot reviews of treesbypost... this didn’t make for good reading. My delivery date (a Friday) came and went and no comms beyond the initial order confirmation. I emailed asking for news and got nothing back. Then a text arrived from a courier saying to expect trees on Monday. Low and behold, they turned up.
Great, healthy little trees, which have now been planted and are doing well. These were seriously good value and came with nice helpful instructions included. The product is great, the communication is minimal, but if you’re ok with that, I’d recommend these guys.

Buyer Beware!!

I received diseased plants - and asked for replacements or refund. Was told they were not diseased at first, then that they were but that the future growth would not be affected. These plants were ordered on line and by law, I can cancel my order within 14 days of reception.
I have e-mailed them three times now making it clear I am unhappy with the product and want a refund or replacement (with healthy plants). All I am getting is recommendations to the effect that I can cut off the diseased parts of the plants etc etc etc.

These plants are NOT as advertised, I am not happy with them at all and I want to cancel my order. The guarantee of the company is just empty words -- and they are not repecting basic consumer law.

Please do not purchase anything from Trees by Post.

So far the experience has been terrible.......

So far the experience has been terrible. I ordered 7 trees a few weeks ago and chose a delivery date. That has both come and gone. I have emailed Treesbypost 3 times and have not got a reply. They don't publish a phone number on their site for obvious reasons. Save your money and avoid dealing with this company.

Phoning Visa this afternoon and asking them to sort it out

delivery is a joke to there people.

What is the point in asking what day you want your tree delivered. if there is not even the smallest effort to fulfill it? do not be conned. I selected a Tuesday. could have selected the next day and wish i had. but i selected a Tuesday as it was the one day I could be at home. Told on that very Tuesday that it was sent via royal mail and could turn up any time in next 3 days

WHAT GOOD IS THAT TO ANYBODY?

And who wants a tree that has been manhandled by royal mail for god knows how many days? Disgusted by the non professionalism of this company. it should not hide these details in the websites small print but say in big bold letters on the delivery page. "nothing you select here will have any barring on your actual delivery time or date.

Totally disgusted.

Dead Flowers

Ordered 4 different types of bedding plant. All arrived packed in very little soil and very dry. However 3 of them did recover when planted; still not the quality I would expect given the price.

The 4th however (Oxeye Daisies) were dead on arrive, shrivelled with moulting petals. I complained and requested a replacement or refund for the dead flowers and was told "flowers don't like being moved but they should be fine. Please plant asap and water". Not the best reply from a company that moves flowers.

I refused to plant dead flowers in my garden and again requested a replacement or refund. After much much toing and froing I was told they would send more but they would look the same because "they are getting past their best". I declined and requested a refund several times but they stopped replying.

I took photos of the dead flowers right after I opened them and sent them over, still nothing.

I'd suggest saving your money and buying from a petrol station. You'll get better quality, for less money and better customer service.
