I love the platform and the idea behind it. I could not be happier with my teacher, he is the best! I am disappointed with the support, or lack there of, which I had received from the site support team. I am a blind person using a screen reader and had written quite an extensive description of the difficulties I have been having with some accessibility related issues of the website. Apart from a generic, automated response I received no reply and I contacted about 2 months ago so more than enough time to have replied. If it hadn't been for this, I would not hesitate to give a 5 star review, but I am actually quite upset, as a paying customer, to have had no response or help.
So 4 days after posting this I received a reply that has basically nothing to do with my original complaint, I was asked a question and wasn't even told where and how I could directly answer it.It felt like a reply that had been written just so it looks like they replied. There was nothing in my personal mailbox about any of this. Continued disappointment.
Perfect, good selection of tutors to choose from. Verbal Planet was recommended to me and I am very pleased with the service. Compared to similar services it offers great vfm.
Excellent feedback for tutors so it was hard to choose which one to work with.

It used to be good until my students decided to pay me directly through the website instead of me charging them. Every time they pay me and I withdraw my money, verbalplanet takes more than one week to deposit my money. Is this even real?
I haven't received the payment of students who CLEARLY paid me a week ago as the money was reflected on verbalplannet. I don't know what they are doing with the money but this is not positive at all. Why do you take so long to withdraw the money? and why do I have to constantly be reminding you to pay me?
I hope you fix that. Otherwise, I'm going to have to tell my students to use other alternatives to keep having classes with me as I won't wait one month for you to pay me two sessions that my students book through the website.
I am learning Swedish with Jessica and she is a great teacher. I feel like I'm progressing after only a few lessons. I always feel so comfortable talking to her and also have alot of fun!

I've been working on verbalplanet as Italian tutor for 4 years, it works very well.
Niki provides helpful videos and exercises and keeps the conversation going - which, with a regi student mint en - requires a very patient teacher (as she is) to draw out the vocabulary and correct expressions from an elderly student's brain!!
