I used Vivint for years and their service was good. I sold my house in June, they wouldn’t let me out of the contract. Luckily, my contract was up in October of this year and began providing them with notification of cancellation in June, both verbally and in writing; you must submit in writing. Multiple times I followed up to confirm they received my cancellation notification, 30+ minutes hold times, I was reassured each time I am set up for cancellation. I called again in September and they said sorry we don’t have the notification, I sent it again and waited until they told me it was received and was again told everything is setup for no future billing. I just received a past due bill for charges dating back to October and I am now having to fight with them to get these charges cleared cause everything needed to cancel wasn’t processed. DO NOT SIGN A CONTRACT! It’s impossible to get out of!!!
