Avast sucks, use Bitdefender

Avast is the worst antivirus I have ever used. They CONSTANTLY ask you to upgrade to premium/disc cleanup/ etc. and the worst part was that the antivirus inserted a debugger value into all of my .exe files which completely kept me from using almost all of my programs for weeks, I had to comb through my registry for hours until I was able to wipe out the issue, not to mention it is near impossible to uninstall all of avast’s files from my computer. Upon canceling my service they continued emailing me with sales and promotions even after unsubscribing from all emails. Go with bitdefender guys, it’s free, rarely asks you to upgrade, has a much less clunky and complicated UI, and it hasn’t bricked my computer like avast has. Words cannot express my hatred for this service.

Stunning Customer Service

I had my Antivirus and Disc Cleaner subscriptions coming due and I wanted to make a change. I used Bitdefender for Mac for years, uninstalling was very complicated and a nightmare as it’s uninstaller app doesn’t remove it completely and conflicts with other antivirus programs. I had no issues with my Macpaw products, but their products were getting to expensive for me. I decided to go with Avast premium security and Avast cleanup premium. I’m very satisfying with the antivirus but I felt the Cleanup program wasn’t worth the money, so I contacted customer support for a refund and I received a notice within 24 hours that they were refunding my money for it. Very impressive Customer service. While the Cleaner didn’t work out, Avast antivirus is definitely a keeper.

Always trying to upsell. Not sure if the $60+ year plan is better at protecting threats than other free plans.

Might be OK on a fast machine but....

I run avast on my laptop that has an SSD but disabled on my desktop which does not and also has less RAM and processor speed - AVAST slows it too much.

double charges, antivirus and malvirus does not catch

Double charges on Premius Security and Password. Try to unsubscribe and second one does not work. Avast Clean Up , try to unsubscribe and does not work. Antitrack Premium again unsubscribe does not work. Computer has a virus & 300 malwares, your Antivirus did not catch and your Malware says it is clean . And I had to take to Consultant to clean up the virus and malwares. YOur VPN does not work. One Premius Secrurity says Exp. in Feb 11, 2022. Two years--ridiculous. I had depended and subscribed to your for many years. And all these things make me think you are just for the money. Two subscribptions for two computers supposed for 10 or more computers.

Paid $85 for 2 services....it did…

Paid $85 for 2 services....it did nothing to increase my computers speed. I was one day late for trail and couldn't get a refund. Biggest waste of money for virus protection. Lots of upselling from company to suck your money out of your wallet....big promises, no delivery!!!

I LOVE AVAST

I have been using Avast sense Windows 98, and have had no problems with it. Especially when it is something that you can get for free and decided if you want to buy the full version. I like that the choice is given, not like most products where they force you to buy the full version, you can decide for your self, thank you for the choice

constantly stops and slows my computer…

constantly stops and slows my computer i will be changing from Avast it has become impossible to operate with stops my network access on a private network constantly even though a switch it off completely usless and chared me for multiple copies of the same software and never answered emails no chice but to stop payments as they never come back to you do not buy

Fraudulent.

Do not trust at all. Just take money from your account without your permission or knowledge. I'd honestly say avoid at all costs and do not put any of your details into their system whatever you do!
Having to go through my bank to get my money back too. Honestly shocking that this 'company' is still trading.
