Difficult to cancel subscription
Difficult to cancel subscription. Terms of service worded to ensure you pay for an extra month when subscription cancelled, which Backstage sees as account deactivated. No difference seen between the two. Scam site, not pleasant to deal with.

Compared to other casting sites
Compared to other casting sites, Backstage is one of my favorites.
Backstage does have a message displayed for new posting that says "This listing has not yet been reviewed by Backstage's editors. You can apply right away, but please beware of scams. Inappropriate content will be promptly removed."
Which is a nice reminder to do your research on the project.
I have been using Backstage for 4+ years now and have only been contacted by a scam gig 3 times.
Backstage is well organized, clean and easy to use.
