Do not use Banfield for any vet…

Do not use Banfield for any vet services. Especially DO NOT use their wellness plan. It is a scam and if you cancel within on year they will charge you an astronomical amount. The care is very sub par. They do not let you come in with your pet to be seen. Their reception is understaffed and never available at check in or check out. The veterinarians are over worked, understaffed, and often incompetent. We have been dealing with diabetes in our one of three kitties and they would not help us dose insulin. I am a pharmacist and able to do at home glucose checks but they refused to look at my curve (even though we had two meters to ensure it was correct) and they charged us over $300 to come to have them do a curve. Even then, the vet didn't get back to us on how to change his insulin for over 2 weeks. Even when I called they didn't have any updates. On top of that my cats are on special pet food and they wouldn't renew the prescription and never had anything in stock for us to pick up. The customer service line is not helpful and jerk you around to different people without any information. Our other kitty has been having seizures in the last couple of months and the team couldn't care less. No advice on what to do, no emergency care and unwilling to schedule us for weeks. The reviews here speak for themselves. Find a local clinic for your pets. We found a new one and the vet spent 1.5 hours with our 3 kitties, did a full exam WITH US IN THE ROOM and took the time to explain everything that was going on and what our options were.

I HIGHLY discourage you from using any Banfield across the country. We had no luck in IA and now no luck in MN. they clearly do not care about their employees, wellness of the animals or customer service. Absolutely terrible company to work with. They don't even deserve a 1 star rating.
