Big Bathroom shop has such a large selection of high quality, reasonably priced items. I bought a sliding frameless glass shower door. It has a luxury feel, and easy clean treatment on the glass. We are very happy with it. And fast delivery too!

Very Happy with toilet supplied. Fast delivery and very well packaged. Whilst we are happy with product the plumber fitting it had one or two gripes including saying the flush was less than expected and the ball valve was slow to refill the cistern.

I'm extremely disappointed with my experience with Big Bathroom Shop.

I purchased a shower enclosure as part of a bathroom renovation and paid a professional plumber to install it. During installation, the plumber identified a manufacturing defect which meant the enclosure could not be installed.

I contacted Big Bathroom Shop and, to their credit, they sent a replacement. Unfortunately, the replacement had exactly the same manufacturing defect.

I contacted them again, and they subsequently confirmed that their quality team had checked their available stock and found the same issue across all of the enclosures they had in stock. As a result, they were unable to provide another replacement and offered me a refund.

The problem is that a refund does not put me back in the position I would have been in had I been supplied with a usable product.

As a result of this manufacturing defect, I have incurred costs for a professional plumber who had already started the installation, and I now face further costs to remove the partially installed enclosure and repair and replace tiles that had to be drilled as part of the installation. I also have two defective enclosures that need to be disposed of.

Big Bathroom Shop's position is that they will not contribute towards these additional costs because the product was installed before the defect was identified. I find this particularly frustrating because the defect was not something that could reasonably have been identified through a normal quality inspection before installation. It only became apparent when the enclosure was actually being installed. They're suggesting that we should have picked this up as part of an inspection. It's not like you do a dummy installation before the main installation to check that all the component parts fit together!

I understand that problems can happen with manufactured products. What has disappointed me most is the handling of the situation once the manufacturing defect was established. I would have expected a more reasonable and fair approach to the costs that have arisen directly from supplying a defective product.

At present, I would therefore not recommend Big Bathroom Shop based on my experience!! Very disappointing.

Being able to chat via WhatsApp was very good and Stephanie was very helpful. She helped me identify what I did and didn’t need to order and she helped me order something that wasn’t listed too, saving me money. Thank you!

There’s always a worry when you buy online that if a problem arises you’ll be ages trying to get it solved, but that’s not this company! You can be sure they’ll look after you after purchase as well.
