Rip-off with unnecessary insurances

I am frequently using Billiger-Mietwagen.de hiring cars with full-cover insurance always. For a second time in two years Herz/Dollar has treated the handover badly by letting me sign additional insurances mentioned in the tiny text with no time to read. And this despite the fact that I refused when being asked. Confronting Billiger-Mietwagen.de with such a mean procedure they would not support by telling Herz off but giving its client the blame. This is a known rip-off by some of the car hire personal and sometimes it just happens that you realize it too late. As my main supplier I was expecting Billiger-Mietwagen.de to take its customers part since it is ridiculous to ensuring a fully ensured car twice.

I will never book again Firefly car…

I will never book again Firefly car rental through Billiger-mietwagen.
Apparently you don't have a contract with Billigen-Mietwagen although you book through them. After booking you get the voucher from Autoeurope. When giving this voucher at the desk to Fire-fly, they acknowledge the voucher but giving for signature a contract deviating from the voucher. When you disagree with their contract they say it is identical to the voucher and that it will be automatically corrected after returning the car. Even repeating the disagreement many times they were not willing to change their contract. When returning the car I asked for the final bill. The bill was not yet available, but they said it will send to my E mail address. To date I never got a final bill send to my E-mail address from them. But receiving my credit card overview it was clear that Fire-fly had charged 4 times more then agreed with the Billiger-mietwagen booking. Complaining with Firefly resulted in a simple answer that I had to deal with Billiger-Mietwagen because I booked through them. After two months debate with Billigen-mietwagen they refuse to help me solving this brutal abuse of Fire-fly by saying that they have no contract with me. Apparently they accept this behavior of Fire-fly carrental although their customer was brutal abused by their business partner. Billiger-Mietwagen Business ethics are not up to the standard of a top company. When they know that one of their business partner is abusing Billiger-mietwagen's customer (s) they should stop that behavior or stop dong business with this carrental company.

Budget was fine, but your service made a mistake in not clearly expressing that the car wasn't near the airport. It took forever to find the correct budget- though I did put “airport” in the search.

we are very sorry there has been a misunderstanding, but please check your booking mails. We are very clearly stating that the rental station is in the city by giving you the address and by calling it „Stadtstation“ which stands for city station.

You can also use a filter on our portal: „Abholung am Flughafen“ to only see rental stations at the airport.

The fair tanking option did not exist

I was disappointed because I chose the "fair tanking" option offered by billigermietwagen to rent a car with a full tank of fuel and returning it full. However, the Europcar office at which I picked the car up told me that this was not possible because all cars have a half-full tank and do not need to be filled up before returning. Very unfair, since I used very little petrol during my one-day rental.
Billigermietwagen passed my complaint on to Europcar, but ten days after my original complaint I have heard nothing. They don't understand that I am not trying to get back the petrol money, but to give them the opportunity to stop this happening again to me or others.
