I had my purchased shipped to our local store for safety, so we were there to pick it up. They were very kind, knowledgeable and accomodating. I never felt rushed, it was a good experience

TLDR- Earrings - meh, store experience - bad, customer service - nice, return - hassle, recommendation- only buy something you know for sure you won’t want to return.
Earrings: I got the Solitaire Diamond Pleated Hoop Earrings. They weren’t available to view/try on in the store so I got them online. The diamond was centered too low and made it look like they were kind of weighed down or falling down in my ears. They were a quick no and I decided to return.
Store experience: I called the closest store location (~45min away) and asked if I could return the earrings there since I bought them online. They said yes. I brought the return later that day and they told me that they had to mail it out and they don’t mail things everyday. They wrote me a paper carbon copy ‘insurance form’ in case it “got lost in the mail”, and informed me that it would take 1-2w to receive a refund. I was expecting a normal store return process, so that was kind of a bummer and if I’d known I would have chosen the mail in option so I could mail it sooner and save the drive, but it is what it is. About a week or so later I was in the area and went back to the store to check the status because I had not received any updates and had no way of looking up the status. They confirmed it arrived wherever it was going and would be inspected and I’d get a refund in about another week because it was a busy time, which is totally understandable that they’re busy and that’d be only a few days later than the timeline they gave me when I brought the return initially so no concern there. However the week goes by and I still had not received a refund. At this point I called the general company customer service instead of the store.
Customer service: They were very helpful and nice and gave me their direct extension in case I have any questions. Unfortunately, they said it would be another 1-2w (so about 4 or so weeks total) to get a refund and were surprised to hear that the store told me it would be faster than this.
Return: Well I’m over 3w out and still haven’t seen a refund, which is not something I’ve ever experienced with anything that I returned at a store location. Hopefully I get it within the next week. The moving timeline and inaccurate information from the store is pretty frustrating.
Overall recommendation: I wouldn’t say don’t shop here if they have something you like, but I’d recommend only getting something that you can try on in the store and that you’re sure you won’t return because the return process is, in my opinion, way too lengthy and kind of a hassle. I personally will likely not shop here again because this has been a bad experience.
Not at all meant to bash the store, just sharing this review because I would have appreciated this insight before choosing to shop here.

I got the ring that I wanted for a very reasonable price.

My experience was very good, although I was a bit nervous about scale and sizing from photos. The order process was smooth and seamless. The packaging, shipping box, internal large box and ring box are all first class. So, on to the ring. It was and is a big hit. The ring actually exceeded my expectations. The diamond and setting are excellent and I believe a great value. Thanks to Ava who signed the card signifying she made the ring. Please pass on my thanks and compliments to her. She is obviously a very good jeweler.

I was supposed to receive my engagement ring by Dec. 31/25 and received it on Jan. 5/26.
The ring came damaged. I'm not sure how it passed inspection. The center stone is rotated off the band’s centerline, and the prongs aren’t symmetrical.
I did chat with someone about this already and it will be fixed when I send it in for my 6 month inspection.

First, let me say I’ve made many purchases from Blue Nile over the years, from engagement rings to birthday gifts and many items in between. They’ve generally been great to work with up until now.
However, I will no longer be purchasing from BN going forward.
For the first time ever I had to return something (Christmas gift) and planned to purchase something else in place of it as soon as the refund was completed. This process took over two weeks. By the time I was refunded, they had ended their sale. I contacted customer support to explain the situation. They said they would see if they could do something and would get back in touch. It was nothing but crickets for over a week, I followed up again and was told there was “nothing they could do”. I again explained I was a long time customer, well they couldn’t have cared less. Just the usual canned “so sorry”. They couldn’t wait to get me off the chat. There’s Zero loyalty to long term customers and it feels like returns are treated with distain. So I’ve committed to move on to a company who wants my business (I’m open to hearing what alternatives are out there?).
All that to say, there will be many more birthdays, anniversaries and Christmas gifts bought somewhere other than Blue Nile.

Beautiful 1 carat Lab created diamond stud earrings in 14k yellow gold. No one will ever be able to tell they are not natural diamonds. Every bit the sparkle I wanted but at a fraction of the cost. I've made several purchases at Blue Nile and I've been happy with every single one. Highly recommend them to family and friends.

The ring was super beautiful and came out great! We were both really happy with how it looks and the engraving looks. The only major complaint I have is during the process of ordering the ring, I contacted customer support twice for help resizing the ring before it shipped. Unfortunately I found out a day late I ordered the wrong size (a 5 and I needed a. 4.5). I contacted blue Nile a day after I ordered the ring and they said they will tell the manufacturers to change it. 2 weeks go by and I decide to follow up and check again if they changed the size. The customer representative said there was no notes of the size being changed and that they will pass along a note to the manufacturers. The ring finally ships and after arriving I get it sized at blue Nile only to find out they still did not resize it for me. So now I need to send it back for 3 weeks to get it resized... Which is really frustrating when I was told twice that it would be handled.
Aside from that major negative part (which is also on me some for ordering in the wrong size) the ring IS very lovely and we will be much happier once it fits her perfectly.

Quality merchandise. Easily accessible customer service. However unable to provide advice regarding substitute for guardian backs for large diamond stud earrings. These are very difficult to use. I found an alternative with much searching. You should know this!

I bought this for a gift for my granddaughter. It's a beautiful bracelet and she loves it, however, we are contemplating returning it as it is too big for her wrist. She spoke to a consultant about possibly having it shortened and was told that Blue Nile could not do that and also that this was the smallest length for this bracelet. She did say that possibly another jeweler could shorten it but that Blue Nile would not. ???

Shipping was guaranteed to be on a certain date and didn't arrive. Arrived the next day. Had to make other plans to receive the package.

Wasnt happy with how long it took to get credited. Return was sent and 14 days is not acceptable, considering you know how to send a product in a timely manner, your credits should also reflect that urgency to keep me as a repeat purchaser.

This was my first experience with you and I’m always a little skeptical.
When Lynn’s box arrived and I opened it, I was very happy. The key was, would she be happy. She was. The only thing she told me was the chain was too long, and that a 16” chain would have been better.
All in all, I’d definitely recommend Blue Nile and probably order again.
Thanks for putting a smile on her face

Absolutely terrific experience end to end. The whole experience was a master class omni-channel in retail shopping. I educated myself online. Went to my local Blue Nile store to gather more information and view the product. Pricing is near wholesale. And I would know because I was in the jewelry business for 15 years.

The salesperson was very kind during the purchase and initially committed to having the order ready by December 23rd. On that day, I was informed there was an issue with UPS and was asked to return on the 24th, with the assurance that the order would arrive without fail. When I returned on the 24th, the delivery was still delayed.
From that point on, the staff’s attitude changed significantly. They became dismissive and unhelpful, trying to distance themselves from any responsibility. The only solution offered was to cancel the order and wait four to six days for a refund.
The purpose of the purchase was to have a gift for Christmas Eve. The order finally arrived on December 29th. Unfortunately, the staff’s attitude never improved and remained rude, instead of showing courtesy or empathy, even though the delay may not have been entirely their fault.
