"Respect from Scott the sales Manager"

After a not so good start with Toyota Belconnen, Scott the manager took over from the floor staff and sorted the issue out...
As a National Manager myself, i can say you will also have issues in life and business but it's how those issues are dealt with and rectified that makes the difference.
Appreciated Scott and thank you !!

My experience test driving a Volkswagen…

My experience test driving a Volkswagen golf wagon was very pleasant smooth and ticked all the boxes. Bryce was a fantastic help and very personable with a great attitude towards his job and he’s also very knowledgeable which is great when you’re talking used cars - The vibes were good. Please consider Canberra Toyota if you’re thinking of a good quality sound Well maintained and mechanically A1 as it is clear only the best will stay at their car lot To be sold. Similar to John West, I guess they only keep the best. 5 out of 5 stars could not be any more appreciative of the service, thank you Bryce.

Shocking and disgusting business practices

Apart from a very rude salesperson the process of buying a used car was fine until there was an issue within the 3 month warranty. Instead of repairing the issue, they have spray saturated my vehicle in a toxic air freshner citrus spray and given me asthma to my own car, as a cover up to an air con leak. I feel scammed and disgusted that they can do that to my car without asking . They have now made my vehicle unusable.

A very BIG thank you to Rob (Canberra…

A very BIG thank you to Rob (Canberra Toyota Belconnen) for his assistance in buying a used car. I was nervous about buying a used car from a dealership and dealing with salesman as I had unpleasant experiences in the past.
Rob has changed my mind! He was patient, courteous, helpful and knowledgeable and above all not pushy! I’m very happy with my car and would highly recommend Canberra Toyota Belconnen and particularly Rob. Thanks Rob.

Toyota Philip – unnecessary upselling and no clean

Toyota Philip –

Took my car in for a service to Toyota Philip on Wednesday. Super unimpressed by the constant upselling of completely unnecessary work. First message from the service centre I got was informing me that before the service was started, the oil pan looked sludgy and I would need the entire system flushed out. I agreed as I know nothing about cars. However I was later informed by an expert that there would be no way they could have done this, especially before even starting a service, and flushing a system is something that only needs doing when rebuilding an engine.
I questioned this when I went in to pick up the car and was told something about an additive put in the oil which showed it to be sludgy. I asked why this wouldn’t be sorted by a regular oil change and was told that it’s ‘better for the engine’ which I’ve also been told like everything else, is complete rubbish. Flushing an engine is should not be a requirement on a four year old engine regularly serviced with modern high detergent motor oils.

I’d also paid for a ‘basic clean’ and realised on getting in the car that it did smell like someone had sprayed a dash of ‘new car smell’ in there, but nothing more had been done. A basic clean according to the invoice includes cleaning of the carpets – not done, and a ‘high pressure rinse’ of the outside. However my car was still covered in the fine layer of 6 months’ worth of dust that it went in with.

Really not impressed. Would not recommend anyone go to Toyota Philip unless you fancy paying for unnecessary work and being ripped off.

4 year old Toyota Yaris still under…

4 year old Toyota Yaris still under warranty. Would not start, I suspect starter motor as battery is fine and turns over. Called Canberra Toyota and they transferred me to Indian call centre which said I basically had to get my car towed to a service centre at my expense 2 weeks from now. Tried calling CT VIP Breakdown service and was redirected to voicemail and haven’t heard back from them. After sales service sucks. Quick to take your money, but no help after.

Money making scam

My car required a security code. This was not provided by the dealership. I called the dealership on Saturday and was told they could not help to call back on Monday. I called on Monday and because my car is out of warranty I got no service from Canberra Toyota. I managed to get the code from Toyota but at this stage the system was locked requiring an expensive trip to the dealer. It's not acceptable that as the owner of the vehicle I was not given the security code when I bought the car.

They will not plan or listen to the customer

My Landcruiser is 9 years old with original rotors and brake pads. Contacted them and got a quote for a complete replacement. Seemed a fair price and so booked the car in for a 120k service and to have all rotors and pads replaced. Gave them plenty of time to organise everything. They then came back with a revised quote, upping the cost by a few hundred dollars. Had a go at them and they agreed to honour the original quote. The day before the booking i called them to confirm everything was available, they said they would check out the brakes and let me know what needs to be done, rather than do what i had asked to be done, i.e. requiring another visit for someone who lives outside the town. Absolute no planning or customer consideration. I reiterated that i had indicated the work required. They checked spares stock and advised there was a long wait for the rear discs. I cancelled the booking and will get the service and brakes replaced elsewhere.

The most terrible experience ever.

1. "Jesse", The most unprofessional, rude, disrespectful & hopeless business manager ever.
2. They had sent my personal information to a wrong email address and they were not guilty at all for their blunders.
3. Five different incorrect invoices and I was doing an audit of their every hopeless work.
4. The car was actually driven almost 1200 kilometres more then what was they had initially mentioned.
5. Be very mindful what they offer before paying a deposit and what you actually get afterwards. Before deposit they will offer you free delivery, however, when you are locked after paying a deposit, no one will be willing to help you.
Good Luck everyone.

I'll NOT trust them to do any work on my car

I bought Tyres from Tyresales.com.au and preferred installation location was Canberra Toyota at Philip ACT.
When I got my car back from dealership I drove to work and left it under secure car park. After work I went to a service station to get some fuel. There I noticed that rear right tire has almost no air on it.
Then I went to the air-pump and checked the pressure on that tire. To my surprise it was 12psi which is very dangerous to drive and possible damage to the tyre. Then I pumped up the tire to 32psi. While doing that, I noticed the an air leak from the valve. Also noticed that the old vales being used on all four tires replaced. I managed to put the spare wheel on the wheel which was leaking. It was very inconvenient in freezing Canberra evening.
Next day, Canberra Toyota Phillip replaced only one valve stem which was faulty. Though Canberra Toyota Phillip strictly claim, they replaced the valve stems on all four wheels, I can clearly see that old stems still there with some dirt on it. Three stand out from the Valve stem which was replaced. All they did was wipe out the dirt on the top of the stem to make it looks new. I know Valve stems are not that expensive and don't know what they try to save.
This is unacceptable behavior and I claim it as fraud.
I can't waste any more time (i spent about an hour and half next day) going into the dealership again and again to fix these issues.
I believe it make sense to use new valves, for new tyres and cost nothing compared to tyres.
If they doing this kind faulty work on simple things like changing tyres and valves, I'll not trust them to do any work on my car.
This is unacceptable and dangerous to reuse old valves. I will not use Caberra Toyota dealership again and will tell about the unbelievable behavior to all the people I know.
By the way you do not have to go to dealership to service or repair your car. Any qualified mechanic will service or repair your car and it will not void warranty. When you buy the car from a dealership if the say(verbally) "you have to come back to us to do the service", ask them to put that into writing. If they do, that can be send to ACCC and dealer will be in big trouble.
