Very good bike for a very good price

Very good bike for a very good price. Delivered several days earlier than exoected. Only knocked off one star as tEvans’ chosen courier was dreadful - leaving the bike outside the front door when there was patently no-one home and at risk of theft. This was relayed to Evans’ customer service team who responding promptly with apologies and assurance that this would be investigated. Husband very pleased with his birthday present!

Service excellence yet again

A big thank you to the boys at Evans Cycles Shirebrook David the manager and Johnny the worlds best mechanic 👊 he’s sorted my beloved Levo out and I’m back out on the trails very friendly and helpful nothing is too much trouble highly recommend. Thanks again. Scot.

Ordered 5 items but split into 4…

Ordered 5 items but split into 4 parcels. Good I can divert to pickup point and collect when all arrive but a very slight irritation. Tried using fraserplus but kept taking me on loops of verifying phone when trying both logging in or as applicant. So removed fraserplus items, so lost sales for evans

All good

I don't like to leave 5 stars just because nothing went wrong. Delivered earlier than expected, item as described, no hassle. Would prefer a free delivery but saving so much anyway that's just me being tight.
No problems and will use again.

Fast delivery

This is my third order, shipping to Poland was completed very quickly (7 days). So I can recommend shipping abroad.
The store has nice promotions.

Awful Website and Unhelpful Customer Service

The first time I attempted to order the money left my account, but the order did not succeed.

I was then charged again without placing the order. I had to contact customer support who told me the money would be refunded within 5 days. 5 DAYS!

You have quite literally stolen money from me and don't have the manners to return it immediately.

Subsequently, the following day I tried to order again and could not even log into my account. I contacted support who told me it was an issue with my computer, despite me showing them the browser logs and the error messages related to login and also trying on multiple devices. Finally, I tried with a different account and it worked, which, I think, further highlights it was not an issue with my computer.

Absolutely painful experience trying to place a simple order, I will not be back.

It could have been easier....

What would have been a good experience was marred by an overcomplicated Ride to Work process resulting in numerous chases as what seemed to be a lack of comms between departments. I've yet to receive the bike so this review may change further down the line......

Package came nicely packaged with…

Package came nicely packaged with needed tools but I didn’t want it and forgot to refuse delivery, they apologised but I am stuck with a £150 bike because it would cost loads to send it back to them. However, apart from making a bad thought ordering the item, I am pleased with their service.

No customer service

Bought an electric peddle pro bike in November. Initially pleased with my purchase as was at a good price. After a few weeks rear mudguard arm broke so they glued it back together. Next the rear light broke again they glued it back together. Last but not least last week when cycling home from a 12 hr night shift the chain snapped. To say I have no confidence in the bike is an understatement. Took to the shop and they said these things happen and they would replace chain. After the two other things that had gone wrong was not happy. Asked to exchange the bike but got told no. Contacted customer services they wouldn't help at all. What awful service. Hence to say I won't be shopping there again

Avoid Evans Cycles

I bought a bicycle from Evans online at the end of November 2024 and received it 9 weeks later at the end of January 2025.
I emailed Evans repeatedly to find out what was preventing the delivery of my purchase, to no avail.
I also used Resolver with similar lack of engagement from Evans.
All my interactions with Evans followed the same pattern, profess bewilderment at the non-delivery and/or blame the courier.
My conjecture is that Evans over sold the bicycle and used the excuse of it being lost between them/ the courier/ and me, to delay, until such time they could supply it because it had come back into stock.
This online purchase has undoubtedly been the worst in my experience and I will NEVER buy anything from this Company again.

Great price for five tens

Picked up some five tens at a really good price so very happy with that, and delivered quickly. If only delivery to store was free / cheaper, considering you're having to travel, otherwise all good.

Packaging

I ordered two lights online - they were sent separately in a quite ridiculous amount of packaging. The lights were fine but I really think Evans should consider much more the environmental impact of their packaging.

Full payment taken from credit card…

Full payment taken from credit card instead of redeeming cycle scheme voucher.
VERY poor customer service
No phone number to discuss issues
No communication between customer service and warehouse
Still not resolved

Very very disappointed

Very very disappointed. Had my turbo trainer less than a year, done less than 1000km and already having issues. Messaged customer service to be told it’s not under warranty. Trying to blame Strava for the issues when they know full well Strava has no influence over the performance of the trainer.

“As we have already advised you we will not be assisting you any further with the fault you are getting on a third party app that we have no liability over.”

DON’T BUY FROM EVANS CYCLES!

Nathan gave excellent service

Nathan gave excellent service from the King's Cross store. I came to this store many months after visiting another Evans Cycles store near Oxford Street and happened to be greeted by Nathan once again, who both times expertly communicated information on a range of equipment items as considerations in a new road bike purchase. On both occasions I left the store knowing a significant more about cycling technology and equipment than when I came in.

Bike Purchase - Cycle to Work

Engagement at the first store I went to was poor and dismissive. I felt like an inconvenience because I wanted to buy using the Cycle to Work scheme, so I ordered online.
The online ordering process was okay, but the delivery estimates were inaccurate. I was given a delivery expectation date, so I planned for this, but the items arrived much earlier (excellent, but I wasn't prepared). A bit better communication would be useful.

Somehow the link sent to me from…

Somehow the link sent to me from birthday boy requested white shoes but i ended up with blue ones. Not sure how that happened.
Fortunately he was not too fussed about the blue ones
