Great!

Great!
The historic building. That’s something else, and a reason to visit in itself.

Bring a padlock. No diving. Move gracefully.

Terrible customer service!

Trying to cancel the kids swimming is a nightmare as they do gymnastics too so it’s not as simple as just cancelling the direct debit as they say. I started the process on the 16th Feb as they said I needed to do it by the 20th. 10 days later I have heard from the direct debit team saying I will have to pay another month as they couldn’t cancel it in time.
That’s after 2 in person visits to try and cancel it, a phone call where I was told I would get a call back from the manager but that call never came and a silly messaging system where it can take ages for them to reply to you. No way of actually speaking to someone higher up to deal with it.
Just after your money and don’t really care about the people!

Fantastic service for Everyone Active

Sam was very informative, supporting me through my gym membership options. He was very patient as my phone signal was not great. I appreciate your patience. Thank-you. I am very excited to try the spa facilities as I took advantage of the offer he informed me about this month. I will be sure to try the gyms in the surrounding areas too.

I had an absolutely fantastic…

I had an absolutely fantastic experience at Moorways Swimming Pool & Leisure Centre and can confidently say it deserves every one of its five stars.

From the moment we walked in, the staff were incredibly welcoming, friendly, and professional. Despite it being a very busy day, they handled everything with calm efficiency and genuine warmth. Every member of the team we encountered was approachable, helpful, and clearly hardworking — it really makes a difference when you feel valued as a visitor.

What stood out most was how clean and well-maintained the entire centre was. With the number of people coming in and out, it must be a never-ending task for the staff to keep on top of everything, yet they do an exceptional job. The changing rooms, poolside areas, and communal spaces were spotless and clearly checked regularly. It’s obvious there’s a huge amount of effort happening behind the scenes.

Even during peak times, the team excelled at keeping the environment welcoming, organised, and hygienic. You could see staff constantly tidying, assisting customers, and ensuring everyone was safe and comfortable — all while maintaining a positive attitude.

A brilliant facility run by an outstanding team. Highly recommended to anyone looking for a clean, friendly, and professionally managed leisure centre! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Great yoga teachers but building management don't care

This centre has exceptional yoga teachers - I attend 3-4 per week and have done for the past 10 years. What is disappointing is the lack of consultation for decisions about the building. After years of failing air conditioning - meaning in the past I once had to wear a coat, now they have FIXED BRIGHT LIGHTING with no control in the yoga rooms. Honestly, lying on your back staring into a megawatt bulb is not good for physical or mental health!

Swimming session rules

Hi
On Friday's swimming session 13.30 we (myself, 11yo daughter and 9yo son) were restricted from entering the pool because my daughter had mask on covering eyes and nose only. As a reason we ware shown rules regarding snorkling masks (full face - covering eyes, nose and mouth).
Is it the same thing? Has anyone came acros this problem?
Respectfully

The whole team at Alton Sports Centre were welcoming, helpful and friendly. It was understandably busy as our visit was during half term but everything ran smoothly which resulted in a relaxed enjoyable visit.
Thank you

Love love love body cambat and Serena

Love love love body cambat. This is 100% made by Serena the instructor. I walk out feeling like I’ve been to martial arts class and done 2 hours in the gym! Full body workout and makes me feel safer in my job and the community! Serena is the best - she is fun, helpful and definitely knows how to push/get the best out of you! 🫶🥊

Teen membership is a scam

I am really disappointed that they have removed the option for teens to exercise on weekends. I reached out to management, and they put the option back for a couple of weeks, but now they have removed it again. The membership fee is £25 a month, and they can't exercise at any time during the week, only in certain slots that fill up really quickly. I am really disappointed that they charge this much money but don't invest in hiring someone to provide this service for our teens in the community.

Very disappointing experience.

Very disappointing experience.

The gym is significantly overpriced for the level of service provided, and it appears to be run largely by very young, inexperienced staff.

Today we raised a serious concern regarding photography being taken in the swimming pool area. No staff member intervened or took action, which is extremely worrying in a children’s environment.

In addition, individuals entered the children’s pool area without supervision, and some were walking around in shoes in what should be a hygienic space.

My son also bumped his head during the session, and no first aid support was offered — not even an ice pack.

Overall, the lack of safety awareness, hygiene control, and staff responsiveness is unacceptable.

Terrible facilities and even worse service

Terrible facilities and even worse service.

Paid £15 to use a broken tennis table, was not setup had wasted playing time , reception and management were most unbothered. Sent a complaint and they just brushed it off without offering any refund for the time wasted. My kids were disappointed with the facilities and would never visit again.

Really gone downhill, used to be a giod place and staff look miserable and cannot care less.

They really shouldn't shut down and stop taking customers money

Accessible for Everyone and Crowded & Unclean

Accessible for Everyone

Went early and managed to get on a few slides, place quickly became packed despite being 1 of only 2 days being reserved for those with more special needs

Place was dirty and gave of a smell of feaces the moment you walked in.

Special needs changing area equally filthy which is surprising since you have to ask for access. No shower inside, you can not expect somebody in nappys to wash in the public area. No emergency pull cord either which should be mandatory. I would not dare use a catheter at coral reef because infection would be guaranteed.

Please send some staff over to camberley and see how clean that place is. They have a changing places facility with shower, toilet, changing bed and emergency pull cords.

The online ice skating booking system…

The online ice skating booking system is unclear.
After creating an account online I proceeded to book a session for the ice skating rink for myself, my daughter and my Grandaughter (2 adults and 1 child). After paying, I realised I had been charged an extra £12. After calling Sapphire Ice & Leisure I was told that once I have logged into my online account I am automatically added to the booking, so when I booked the rink for 2 aduts and a child I was actually charged for 3 aduts and a child.
I was told that it was a common mistake people made and that I should email the ice rink to explain the situation. I received an email reply from the ice rink saying that they would not be refunding me and the best they could do was offer me credit for my next visit to the rink. This is no good to me as this was a one off booking and I have no intension of visiting the ice rink again
