Slow and uninformative

It is, as of writing this on 29/08/2013, a week since I ordered a hard drive that was 'supposedly' in stock, but it has not been sent out yet.
Absolutely shocking, and probably better advertising for Amazon than any other kind of ad.

I have used their 'Contact Us' form to ask them to either get the drive shipped today or refund me. Somehow I wonder if either will happen. If it doesn't, I will certainly recommend people to stay well clear of these cowboys.

So, their reply email is curt, impolite and disagrees with the information on their website.
So far they retain a 1 star review, and I will recommend staying well away from them.
I know I will.

And since I still haven't received the item, I have now started fraud proceedings with my bank against Extak.

I have sent off the information my bank needs to start the fraud proceedings, and they then sent me a message promising my money back.
I'm looking forwards to seeing whether the money really is refunded...

Also, it turns out that there is even a Facebook group dedicated to outing these fraudsters; but you'll have to google it yourself...
And their (apparently) other company:; but you'll have to google it yourself...
Because apparently, Trustpilot doesn't want your review to have all the information you might want from a review...

Needless to say, I will not be spending money with them again.

Fraudulent company - they take money one day, out of stock next, then don't answer queries

Goods in stock, ordered and paid for on 19 September....then I get an 'out of stock' within 24 hours. I tried e-mailing Extak - no response. Then I tried phoning, and got put through to a recorded message which said 'please leave us a message'...but their voicemail was full (presumably of other customers complaining), and unable to accept further messages. I've now raised a dispute on this transaction with my Credit Card provider, so that I get my money back that way. How do companies like this survive? Shocking!

As expected phoning them led to nothing except the chargeback thing

I'd seen the reviews on here before I phoned so wasn't really expecting what I'd ordered to ever arrive. Got probably the same story blah blah leading to the chargeback spiel. Didn't really spend that much so didn't feel like harassing some poor student or whoever they have on the phones at these places over it all. Of course it's not good enough, so I just hope adding my voice to these opinions might help those who've lost a lot of money over whatever this company is up to. I've rated one star as although personally I didn't feel as if the experience was of malicious intent, there just seems too much of it going on that there is none.

utter rubbish so far

Ordered a replacement shaver head 2 weeks ago. Not received email of dispatch or any further information from this company however they did take payment on same day. Called today to ask for a refund. Waited 20 mins in a call queue only for a prerecorded message to say no more room for any further messages and then disconnect me. Probably more irate customers. I will cancel my order if someone actually answers the phone

1 star is way too much for this company

Words fail me! Made a purchase and was told delivery in 4 working days. After a week with no despatch notification I tried calling the number provided. No-one was available to answer my call even though it was within their opening times. Unable to leave a message either due to mailbox being full - probably due to the amount of other unhappy customers. This company is unprofessional and an absolute disgrace. Should be closed down, wish I had read the reviews BEFORE purchasing Please avoid at all costs!!!!

Will never use them again - AVOID

Ordered item on 2 October, has never changed from "order accepted" status. Now passed delivery window and no communication from the company. Emailed them but no reply after 3 days. Item is still listed as in stock saying
"Hurry! Only a few left...
Order within 5 hours for an estimated delivery of Friday 18th*
Glad I paid with credit card and have a degree of protection because I have no confidence in this company delivering the item.

Poorest service I have ever received

Place order for printer which they said was in stock i also phone to check stock told they had 4 in stock. So far no printer unable to get through on phone auto attendant answers calls then put you though to a mail box that is full. No answers to emails and reading reports on trust pilot and amount of feed back under investigation expect this to be blanked out saying being investigated.

Slightly delayed but arrived OK. Great Price

Ordered Motorola double walkie talkie set. Forecast 10 day delivery but in the event nearer 15. No problem as I wasn't in a hurry. Queried delay and received prompt reply indicting revised timescale which proved accurate.

I had noticed some poor reviews on this site but I have to say I am more than happy with product and overall service,

Will never use again...

Building a new gaming PC - ordered various parts from 6 different suppliers. Everything from every other supplier arrived within 3-4 days. 8 days later the order from Extak is still to be shipped, let alone received by myself...my status is 'stock assigned' even though there are apparantly '10+ items in stock' for both things that I ordered.

Oh, and they also ignored 2 'contact us' requests from me asking what the hold up was.

I held off writing this review, in fairness, to see if they'd reply to me, but they didn't.

Awful, beware - will never use again!

Let Down

Placed an order for an Epson scanner, was kept waiting for two weeks whilst being told the item was being sent from abroad, then at last told they could not fill the order and money returned. Therefore had to search for another seller having lost two weeks when I needed the scanner. Their email said:-

"Due to a technical fault on our system we were unable to process your order which was affected by this fault. Due to this we have automatically refunded your account to save you any further delay or inconvenience."

dreadful, misleading with no customer service

Bought produce delivery 3 -5 days some 9 day later no delivery. No info from company, tried to call 08432890725 company [did websearch to find phoneine which is a premium line and I wlli be charging me for same. Indeed the phone which was answered immediatey then told me I would be waiting for some time to receive person to answer. (all of which I would be paying for) still not got goods, information on service or contactable person. very very bad, cannot recommend company or service. Am about to start a small claims court summons for money and costs.

DO NOT ORDER FROM EXTAK.com

Wish I had read reviews on company before ordering as my experience supports other experiences of extremely poor customer service.

I ordered goods and funds were taken from my account before any goods arrived. When the delivery due date expired they came up with excuse of "Out of Stock". In my book this is FRAUDULENT activity as you should check stock & deliver before taking any funds.

Have been promissed a full refund so will wait and see what happens. I will keep an eye on it & have already notified my bank.

Slow despatch and rubbish customer response

One week after ordering, still no sign of despatch, and calls to them result in ear-splitting rubbish music followed by a glib message that someone will answer as quickly as possible, then a message saying I'm No. 1 in the queue, then a message saying the mailbox I'm calling is full and can't accept more messages. If the goods ever arrive, or they ever answer the phone, it will be the last time I use this outfit.

absolute disgrace

Ordered goods, given delivery date and as other reviews, goods never turned up. Contacted extak via email, wasn't even told if goods were out of stock or anything, just informed that I would get a refund of my money within 1-3 working days. A week later still no refund. Contacted them again to be told there was something wrong with merchant banking and to take it up with my bank. so I've now had to lodge a dispute for my money back through my bank. I think it's disgraceful customer service and probably fraudulent trading. I wish I'd found this site before I placed my order. AVOID THIS COMPANY AT ALL COSTS

How is this company still in business?

Ordered some Duplo for my Daughter. Order never came. No response from messages left and not able to get passed number 3 in the queue. Raised dispute with bank. Am now reporting to Trading Standards. How is this company still in business? DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. I checked Companies House website to check this was a registered business before ordering, I just wished I had delved a little further and found the reviews.

Awful

I've been waiting for an item for 18 days now when delivery was expected within 5 days. I rang to chase and was in a queue for over 40 minutes so gave up. My initial email was responded to and an alternative date given for delivery but 2 days have since passed with no contact. I have emailed twice with no response and I now require a refund to order elsewhere but no acknowledgement to my emails have been received.

Never never never again

I ordered a printer cartridge on 10th October, the money was taken from my account on 14th October and then nothing. Various phone calls and emails later, it appears they had 'problems' with my order which I cancelled and asked for a refund.Now they cannot give me my refund due to 'problems with their previous payment merchant'. They suggest I pursue it with my bank.

AVOID - 3 weeks and items still not delivered!!

Ordered on 12th September, despite several phone calls and broken promises items have still not been delivered after 3 weeks. Have had enough and cancelled the order and awaiting a refund.
Worst service ever experienced online.....very poor!!
No way to run a business.

Good price but expect to wait weeks for delivery

Very good price but t seems to come at a cost. Waiting for weeks for your delivery was my experience. My advice is don't take any notice of their website with regards their estimated delivery times and add at least 2 weeks on top of the estimated time if displayed. I placed an order on the 22nd August for some bog standard PC memory which was advertised as in stock on the Extak website. Today I've cancelled the order (8th September) fed up of waiting for the delivery to arrive . I did contact Extak before canceling who classed this as a "slight delay". This was for a bog std stock item!

What can I say?

This is not really a review, but no item has arrived yet to discuss.
It's over three weeks since placing an order that was to be delivered on 18 October.
Calling the extak number proved unhelpful, as it moved from holding in a queue, to voicemail, and finally to 'unable to accept new messages'.
Any advice?
