BEWARE of unauthorised direct debits
Yesterday I had $49.99 directly debited from my bank account to upgrade me to a 'Premium Account'.
I don't want one.
On checking the invoice I received when I purchased, I see it included this:
1x Fishpond Premium Trial
This item is delivered electronically
Your credit card will be charged $49.99 at the end of the 30 day free trial
I am totally dissatisfied because, although the direct debit is not exactly 'unauthorised', I feel they have my $49.99 by stealth.
Fishpond don't provide a phone number, which may, as they claim, keep their costs down, but it just makes them seem dodgy.
On logging into my account, I see a refunds section, but surprise, surprise, there is no refund on a 'Premium Account' subscription (even though I haven't used it.)
I also can't find where to cancel my subscription, so at this point I have another $49.99 payment to look forward to in 12 months time.
I have, of course, contacted Fishpond via message, and I await their response.
Should I receive a favourable outcome, I will happily return here with a favourable review, and delete this one.
