Happy with service

I was able to obtain my book locally with minimal fuss and much quicker (and cheaper) than Amazon.

Good service.

I got the book pretty quickly, but couldn't find it due to a miscommunication with Australia Post (not Fishpond's fault). I contacted Fishpond regarding the delivery, and they replied within hours, enabling to then communicate with Aust Post, and get my book. Fishpond did their part pretty well.

The courier did not leave my book…

The courier did not leave my book inside my verandah, i.e. at my front door. Instead he walked down the side of my house, past my verandah and put it in an unsafe place. If it had rained, my book would of been totally destroyed.

Great bookstore. A rival to Amzon,

A great range of books. I tried to order the book "Quest for Atlantis II" from Amazon but kept on getting a message "cannot deliver to this address" through I am a frequent user of Amazon so I ordered this amazing scholarly work from FIshpond and had no delivery issues.

Poor experience

I made an order on the 26th of November only to be told on the 30th of December that they couldn't source the book I ordered and to have my order cancelled. Despite this, the book in question was still listed as available on the website.

Two stars instead of one as I have had positive experiences with Fishpond in the past; however, in the future I will take my business elsewhere.

Poor communication, unreliable service

I ordered two books for the new school year on 3 January and was given estimated delivery date of “17th Jan - 22nd Jan from local warehouse”. On the 17th Jan I used the track my order link to see when the books would arrive. It simply stated that there had been a delay and an update would be provided within 24-48hrs. On the 19th Jan I accessed the link again, however there was no update. I then followed up with an email and was told that there was an issue with the supplier and they did not know if they could provide either of the books I had ordered. I was given the option of canceling or just waiting. I then received another email the following day stating that if the products didn’t arrive in another two weeks my order would automatically be cancelled. So, I cancelled the order and ordered elsewhere. Upon cancelling the order, the website noted funds are not debited from credit cards until the order is dispatched, however I checked my account and it had been debited on the 4th Jan. I will now wait to see if a refund is processed within the three days promised.

I have been a customer of Fishpond for…

I have been a customer of Fishpond for many years now. Fishpond is the first place I come to for my books. The only time I ever worried was when a purchase was made that I wanted queried. They quickly and in a very supportive and sincere manner helped me (🤦‍♀️) to remember the order was actually from me from a different email address of mine that I had used. Yes I felt silly, but Fishpond staff were just amazing. The service is unbeatable.

I ordered a book and it’s taking years…

I ordered a book and it’s taking years to come. What the hell is going on? Please…..all I want is my book that I ordered….instead I get a scam site! This is absolutely disgraceful. Where is my book??

It could have been a 4 star review but…

It could have been a 4 star review but they handled the situation very well. They are great but I did have my last order arrive and the envelope was not sealed properly so glue from the envelope had damaged the cover of the book. I advised them of this and that it wasn't the end of the world but that they wanna take more care packing and sealing the envelopes. They acknowledged this and offered me a voucher towards to my next purchase which was a nice touch.
